We've had draft fails at every spot. You may even consider selling the farm for Wentz a draft error no?

But hey nothing is for sure. The guy chosen at any spot could suffer a brutal injury or whatever and bust even though he’s a great talent...it happens.

Just false. Started two of the five by running twice

Lmao and one was backed up at the 2 yard line and everyone knew run was coming really hard to stop that when you know it’s comes.... It’s almost like it’s easier to pass rusher when you know all you do is pass shocker.

Abandoned the run vs the browns and didn’t even try to get it go that is the truth and facts

I really hope Hurts is good.

If he keeps running the ball like he did yesterday i expect he'll wind up like RG3

There is always last year’s MVP. He ran it right to the top all year.

At the two yard line was the situation. We ran. Didn’t work. Got stuck with a Safety. None of the runs worked in the second half against the Browns. Wentz had one scramble that was decent. Best Sanders run was for like two yards. If the runs had worked...we would have more downs to try and run. Instead it setup third and long.

You say abandon the run in the second half. I showed you that no!!!! We ran it the first two downs on two of the four drives. What else you want? Your banging a drum for what? One pass on first down that could have been a run. One? Wasn’t really any other opportunity in the whole second half. Give it up man. There is no argument there. Look at the play by play. Tell me where we could have run it in the second half that we didn’t? Doesn’t exist. The rushing attack got snuffed out.

Lmao if we ran they would have started to work not 1 run then six plays later another that’s not how successful runnings works....

Running at the 2 yard like is like trying to make a Hail Mary pass everyone knows it’s coming way Fing easier to defend not rocket science I don’t even count those runs only used them because we were at the goal line if we started at the 15 bet it would have been 3 straight passes and a punt

I did every single play of the play by play we didn’t run that was the issue. If you don’t run you can’t be successful at it

You can’t sit here talking nonsense all day ham about well if we did this did that or if Wentz passed better or get more first downs we would have ran more it’s all nonsense we DIDNT run we refused to even truly try to run it was a sad second half because of the lack of commitment to what was actually working in the first half. So we could go pass heavy

The Browns shut it down. We tried. Only got one yard, no gain or minus one yard per run.

So your argument is weak. We tried to run the first two downs of the four drives. Two of the others that we didn’t start with two runs...we scored.

So according to you...we should have never tried to pass. That’s what your third paragraph says. That’s ludicrous! Now you’ve gone over the deep end. Especially when you see that when we passed in the second half...those were the times we scored.

Sanders pretty much apologized for his second half play in that game

But he was rusty just coming back from injury. The Oline was terrible also. Browns have quality on their Dline and LB also. Gotta give them credit also.

I actually think in some ways that Elliott contract is worse than the Wentz one (if Wentz is unable to turn it around here).

My kicker contract 25k per FG, 5k per extra point 1k a week to do KO's take it or leave it. If you miss-on you.

Any quality K would say I’m going to the next team. You’d be stuck with Joe Schmoe

Even the Bears on the street kicker competition winner was paid more

The Elliott contract was weird

No I don’t. I thought it was the only move. We were rewarded our only Super Bowl for it.

That was Foles lmao

Guess jokes are not your thing, sorry, but apparently Elliott is a joke

They just need to do false starts until the kick is 45 yds  or more

LMAO, yeah chippers are not his thing I guess, so I suppose now we need to petition the league for an additional roster spot of "Chipper kicker". Could be making history here lol

Hurts starting against AZ. We have a highly paid BU for 2 more years

We signed Hurts old C from Bama off The FootballTeam’s PS

Zona has Hassan Reddick at LB. He has good speed for a Lb. He’s coming off a massive game where he abused the Giants Jones. Gotta think he’ll be in spy mode on Hurts.

Hopkins, Fitzgerald and Kirk....I don’t think we can cover any of them with a double team even. The Dline had better really eat!

Some thoughts after watching the all 22.

We did some new things on defense. We used a five man front with an extra DT on the field, which was hard for the Saints to defend. We also ran a blitz where a DT dropped into coverage. Slay also played deep safety at times. It was nice to see some wrinkles.

Bradley and Epps impressed me. Bradley especially showed good awareness. Once McLeod and Slay went out, we played more two deep safeties with Epps and Wallace, which I don't think is a bad defense for us if Mills has to go to corner.

Seymour got beat for the deep touchdown but he was right there (and probably committed PI). He is really fast and, if he can stay healthy, might be a good depth piece moving forward. He had a few nice tackles. I like our depth on defense, we just need a few more playmakers.

On offense, we definitely had much better playcalling.

The pass where Hurts just missed Reagor deep is going to be a staple of our defense for years to come regardless of who is qb. It's tough to stop since the qb is rolling out and it gives Reagor room to hit his top speed, and i don't think many corners can keep up with him.

We started running shallow crossing routes, and Reagor hit one for a big gain. We ran the same play the drive before to Ward, but he was covered. Speaking of Ward, he just gets open. The tape is clear that he and Goedert are our two best options at creating separation. Jeffery, not so much, though his TD catch was nice. But that was mainly due to the throw.

Hurts missed some throws. But his running ability makes up for it. He was too quick to abandon a nice pocket on a few occasions, but for a rookie making his first start, I will take it. He does roll right most of the time, so they have to change that up. The Saints definitely started bringing pressure to that side in the second half.

We didn't move the ball much the second half, but I think that was due to the Saints holding the ball more and some bad luck. Our drives on the second half ended with a false start that caused a 3 and 5 to go to 3 and 10 on the first possession, the failed 4th and 1 on the second and then the near INT on third and five on the third possession. Hurts was late on the near INT, but that was his only real mistake and the only really bad throw I saw. After that we had the TD and then the final drive where he fumbled. I would note that on the TD drive, we ran a reverse to Reagor that picked up big yards that took advantage of the Saints expecting Hurts to roll right, so checkmate for Doug.

All in all a solid day for the offense. I would still put Fulgham in over Jeffery and play more 11 personnel, but I can't complain about rookie playing time on both sides of the ball. It's early days, but this draft class is looking good. In addition to Hurts and Reagor, Driscoll and Bradley played well and Wallace was better.

The playcalling on both sides of the ball was also much better.
