If the first team D is getting reps against hurts have to think this can only aid them when we play Murray getting used to defending a mobile QB in the similar mold

Best defense for the AZ is a good offense... Have to win ToP control the clock and limit the chances the AZ offense sees the field

We actually did well defending Taysum against the run. He got loose a few times, but largely his legs were ineffective.

We ran some 5 man fronts and played almost all zone against the Saints, which meant we had guys in position to stop the qb from scrambling. It helped that out LB play has been really good lately. Murray will be a challenge, but our defense has been playing really well.

Hurts played a solid game. Funny how Doug played calls to assist him, yet did nothing for Wentz. I have to say that Doug and Wentz do not gel together for some reason. I have to believe Doug is gone after this year for just that reason. It will be interesting to see what we do in the off season if Hurts plays great. What would we do if a team offered a 1 plus a 3 for him? What would we do if that team was Dallas?

Too little too late I am afraid. I just want to see a competitive team the rest of the year. Play youth and see what you have moving forward. Sweat is a beast. Singletary is a keeper. We have some nice pieces for the O-Line also (Not Named Pryor)I would love to add a solid RB next year.

Just put of curiosity how did your WR choice do in fantasy?

Doug always seems to be better with the backup QB

Maybe he remembers HIS career.

AZ is the decision game for me if we upset AZ I say go for the East crown. Won’t matter that we are 7-8-1 if we make the playoffs hot.

He was too quick to abandon a nice pocket on a few occasions,

When you have a weak O line and you are replacing the league leader in sacks, I don;t view that as a down thing. Wentz leads the league in sacks because he did NOT(or could not) do this. if we get a semi solid O line he will be much more comfy in the pocket, but this is one(of many) reasons why Wentz was replaced

Think what he meant by this were times Hurts could have given himself more time if he stepped up in the pocket instead of escaping outside....  it ultimately that just nit picking his game he did great in his first start

All I have been asking for. Play solid ball. Even if we had lost I couldn't have bashed them. It's nice to see a flicker of spark in this team. Why did that take 9 weeks? when I said to bench Wentz in week 4? You know, when we still had a chance at a season lol)

At least that clock goes off in his head. Wentz's clock is broken

To be expected from Wentz though when your sacked the most times hit the most times and never played behind the same OL twice all season.... Not to mention the play caller didn’t seem to aid him Any by moving the pocket on play calls and never running

So,maybe NOW(we can hope) Ped sees that rooks(and young guys) HAVE an impact and maybe in the future he will give these guys the reps they need and he may find he has better players than the overpaid prima donnas. We will ride Alshon into the sunset, simply because we pay him. The Wentz fiasco should burn up all the "gold stars" the QB staff ever had. Just shameful, and I hope for our sake, they don;t ruin Hurts too. Sorry Mrs Wentz, your kid blows donkey balls

BS, Hurts never played a full game behind ANY O line .Not an excuse for me. I have to agree with Stein, Ped has no clue how to gel with Wentz

He also wasn’t getting drilled all season long lol... it’s a huge difference playing behind a new OL first game vs playing behind a rotating OL all season

I wouldn't say it is nit picking, and I am certainly not taking anything away from his performance. It's just an observation that he had a clean pocket that he ran out of on a few occasions, and that he will probably correct it in the future as he learns to trust his protection and his receivers.

Well, I won but not due to the WR's. Playing Sanders saved my butt. I would have done better playing Carr instead of Hurts, but not by allot. I did win but am playing top ranked opponent this week. He scored more than 50 points than I did last week and I was second most of the 8 people.... Got my hands full this week for sure.

Not only that. Did anyone notice all of the coaches/players huddling around Hurts on the sidelines? Never once did anyone do so with Wentz. Just another observation....

WHY? Makes no sense whatsoever. If you learn to drive on a Ford, then you can't drive a Chevy?

This is not ideal.

Mike Garafolo on Twitter: "#Eagles RT Jack Driscoll will miss the rest of the season with a significant MCL sprain, sources say. The rookie toughed it out to finish the game against the #Saints but further testing showed the full extent of the injury. Tough one for him and the team. He was playing well." / Twitter

I guess Pryor at RT, which is probably not a huge downgrade, as Driscoll got a lot of help on Sunday, but it means we have no real backups the rest of the year. We are down to Toth and kicking Seumalo outside.

OK, picking up Lynn Bowden Jr to possibly use as a flex option instead of Watkins. NO does not give up allot to WR's but my thinking was Watkins may benefit as the 3rd option this week. Either that or play Bowden from Miami as all of their WR's are hurt so he is the #1 option this week. Any thoughts?

LOL,I lost Kamara killed me thanks to the Eagles and the Saints D I had in. I wasn't expecting that much from Hurts, so it's BAD and GOOD at the same time lol, also didn't get my points from Murray I needed
