Ped "inherited" the SB team. It's been downhill ever since then. Lurie said he's staying and to me that's a real pity, but not my call. Our less than stellar D, still manages to keep us in games, but the O can't score. So whatever. I am disgusted with the whole bunch

And BTW the "Philly Special" was called by Foles. Ped has no schemes to play to players strengths. He just seems lost to me. Maybe Y'all see something I don't. Ped was a QB and he can't give us a QB

Umm... So we don't give Doug credit at all for that play?

It's the last game of the year, it's like a non game. He can't put what he learns tomorrow to use the following week,so that is a WASH. He can takes his reps in practice. I think this is a slap in Wentz's face, so I imagine we will try to trade him now

Reps are reps are reps... Hurts getting game reps is always a good thing... As for Wentz a bigger slap in his face would be having him start. Starting Hurts is no different then when we pulled Wentz 3 weeks ago.

As for the off-season as I stated before  Doug Lurie Howie need to sit down make a decision at QB and move forward. I’d trade the other guy whether it’s Wentz or Hurts.

What lol.... this makes no sense at all. Doug didn’t come in during 2017 and win a SB our roster was bad in 2016 after Kelly traded lot of players then Howie traded Kelly’s guys.

Howie/Doug/Schwartz/Douglas these guys put together a SB team and coached them. Was also the last year we were relatively healthy team we lost some guys but not the rash of injuries we had in previous years.

Foles suggested the play and it was a play that Doug and co. Put in the playbook and practiced... Not like Foles walked over designed the play and said yup we running it.

Foles through out a suggest Doug had the balls to actually call it. For the bad with Doug there is still plenty of good as well.

I had high hopes for Howard’s return. He just doesn’t look good though. We need a third RB. Clement does a little on ST and blocks. Not enough for what I think we need. Huntley has perfected taking up a roster spot this season. That’s all I can say about him. We need to get another RB. We need a guy that can take over as the number two. Handle the load if Sanders is out. But also a complimentary style. Really like Scott much better as the third Rb.

Just a FYI, Foles is the one who actually had the play added to the playbook. It was in the tv special about the SB and that play. Foles ran that play in High school and mentioned it during meetings. He drew it up as they ran it in HS and the coaching staff brought it into the book. Other teams were running that play as well just the year before just in a different way. Was even mentioned they only practiced it a handful of times through out the entire season.

IIRC Taylor is the one that brought their attention to that play (saw some college team run it).  So none of them are responsible for designing it ... they stole it.

This piece suggests that play was drawn up and used before Foles ran it in high school, by some OC in SC named Hunter Spivey.

From what I read Press and seen Press found the Philly special but you know

Never stated Doug designed and and knew it was Press that found the play and wanted to add it to the play book... Honestly in today’s NFL nothing is really knew it’s just variations on design already made.

I didnt say Foles designed the play, just that he mentioned it since they used it in HS and a few other teams like the Bears ran a play very much like it the year before. The TV program said thats how it was put into the Eagles playbook.

You stated: "He drew it up as they ran it in HS ... ".  But yeah I agree, a lot of plays are "borrowed".

Read my post I stated it wasn’t like Foles drew up the play on the sidelines then said we are running it... also added that Doug and Co. added it to there playbook never stated they designed it.

Could go WR Chase in one, The U TE(does it really matter what his name is?) in two and RB Najee Harris in the third.

That would be if you are trading Ertz. Seemed a foregone conclusion. But he might have killed his value so much they could actually work something out now.

Or the defensive version: LB Parsons in the first, second round go CB Kendrick and third go Edge Olijari.

Damn man I must be hallucinating ... I swear I read that earlier.  My apologies for the confusion / misinterpretation.

Or could switch and go Rousseau, Kendrick then Jabril Cox

I think Parsons is really good, but a wr (Chase) or a corner (Surtain) or an edge rusher (Rousseau) makes so much more sense for this team, and one of them should be there when we pick.

Some reporters are breaking news that Carson will be inactive.

John Clark on Twitter: "Source confirms Nate Sudfeld will be backup tonight and Carson Wentz will be healthy scratch, first reported by @MikeGarafolo https://t.co/6fXbAZ4et0" / Twitter

I don't think they have enough healthy players to have Wentz inactive, but it doesn't surprise me that Sudfeld will be active and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play the second half.

In terms of our draft position. Cincy losing to a Ravens team that needs to win seems unlikely, but they have been playing well lately, so who knows. If they win, then Tennessee has little to play for, except to host a first round playoff game, which isn't a big deal considering there are no fans allowed. So maybe they rest their starters if that happens or if Miami loses, which also gets them into the playoffs.

Tampa Bay has nothing to play for, so they may rest their starters.

So if things break right for us, we could be picking third, which would be pretty huge. Obvsiously we need to lose, but losing hasn't been an issue this year.

It's not the first time it was ever run(in a SB it was). The players executed it and Foles called it,what credit is there to give Ped except saying ":yes" to Foles?  See? The innovation had to come from others

Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Eagles' CB Nickell Robey-Coleman and a practice-squad player tested positive and both players will go on the Reserve/COVID list today, per source. Robey-Coleman now will miss tonight's game against the WFT." / Twitter

I think we will get to see Elijah Riley at slot corner, which I am looking forward to. He could be a sleeper. I also expect Grayland Arnold to get a lot of time at outside corner since Jacquet is injured.
