Oh yeah...and the QB situation. And  I’m sure any defensive coordinator can implement his defense just during a TC. Week one transformed!

Ron had his D playing just fine week 1 and most of the year in DC and he did it during COVID and dealing with cancer soooo yea lame excuse on that one.

As for the QB situation that on the FO and the staff you had a guy decided to draft another and made this whole jumbled mess but as I see it you got two high drafted QBs and you paid one extremely well results that simple.

I bet Lurie call PED and told him he better lose this game lol

It’s good to know that Lurie, Rosie and Pedey are on the same page.

He only managed seven wins. Is that your bar? Two of those were against us by the way.

I think we had to accept this train-a-coming

But we don’t have money to go fix our problems either. So we’re in rebuild. Take a step back....to take three steps forward.

Could draw some parallels to 2016. Fighting through the cap to head in a different direction. Could even trade up to the second pick for our franchise QB. Install a new defense.

7 wins won the east in a COVID year and dealing with cancer and had a pretty solid D.... I mean.... If he can do all that no my bar would be higher in a coach that is going into his what 6th year as HC

All I keep hearing is you want to make excuses for why we should be terrible next year and you don’t want to change anything after if that’s what you want to each their own.... But if we have another terrible year Doug should be fired at the very least.

That was what we were trying to do, right? We thought we could win 7 games taking the East. Instead we fell flat and won four...and a tie.

There are just to many reasons starting with the money that Wentz stays in Philly ...Aside from Howie's recent public comments that they believe this season was an aberration for Wentz...We know that Howie is doing that " GM Speak."..." Carson is staying , he is under contract However, as with All players, we will listen to Any offers that would make the Eagles better...blah..blah blah." We know that Howie has to control the conversation regarding Wentz or we won't get enough compensation.

Another issue for me...I want to see Wentz act like he wants to fight for his job.  If he doesn't want to be here we still need the right compensation. GbinNC...Agreed that sometimes we're so smart instead of making the obvious move ... you cited our selecting  Reagor over JJ...clearly JJefferson stats blows away Reagors. So many of our failed first round picks went against the grain.

Disagree, if you want to win, you don't strap the other 52 guys with a BS QB. Example. You pay QB "A" 15 million a  year, you pay QB "B" a million a year and that is locked in for 3 more years. You are spending 16 million no matter who you play right? SO what does it matter who wins games for you? And while I take whatever offer comes my way to alleviate me from the 15 million dollar baby, if that doesn't happen, I am still paying out the same. Is it possible, knowing he gave too much to Wentz in the form of guarantees, that Howie was covering his butt and the teams by taking Hurts?. You can love or hate Howie, fact remains the man is not stupid. Maybe it was just flat out luck? But maybe it WASN'T??

If We trade Wentz. We should be able to use that draft capital to move up to number two overall. We are talking Fields or Lawrence now. You have to consider that scenario.

Jags and Jets aren't giving up THEIR future QB's. It's hard to trade Wentz now, after his bleak/ garbage performance. Noone is going to PAY for that when they can get a franchise guy for rook pay.

Essentially Wentz(regardless of whichever team we trade him) and the sixth overall for Lawrence or Fields.

NO NO NO. I have pick 6 and if I get say pick 15 from say the Pats for Wentz (or 12 or 18 or whatever), I target Mac Jones there and(my boy) Devonta Smith at 6. NOW you have "instant chemistry". A Heisman winning WR and if Mac Jones is so bad, how did he make it to the national title game??? Fields BEAT Lawrence to get there. Is Lawrence overrated? Or is Mac Jones UNDER rated? And awhile back I said "Smith is better than Chase". Got bashed as usual, but turns out(once again) I called it right(just like I said JJ would kill Reagors stats). So,I wish you haters would just take my word for it lol. I could live with Jones, Devonta Smith, Reagor and the rest we have. I will also say Mac Jones  is the guy that throws to TWO first round draft picks.(there was this guy that did similar last year named Joe Burrow lol). They(Bama) also have a nice RB!! Yet despite that fact, Jones can still get TWO WR's the stats they need to be round 1 picks?. OH yeah!! I would be thrilled with Mac Jones as my(new) franchise QB and the BEST WR in this years group. Of course everyone has jumped on my wagon saying Smith is the first WR to go(which I already knew- haters!!!) LOL(pats self on back for calling it 2 years in a row). So now the question for me is, does Devonta last until pick 6? Thats a tough call. Or if he goes do I "settle" for Chase? I like Olave in round 2(or Chase's teammate Terrance Marshall) , so I would pass on Chase despite the "consensus" and take Farley. MANY paths we can take, the first thing is to trade Wentz and see where we are, but if it plays out as I have shown here, that would be my personal approach. The Smith/ mac Jones combo would "fix" that whole WR thing for4-5 more years(and with 2 rook QB we aren't paying out alot  HAHAHA. Of course if the Pats were smart, they would avoid Wentz and simply take Mac Jones at 15 themselves, but hey.it's worth a try IMO and would still be happy with adding Smith

What I saw was, young guys/ BU's playing as a team. I don't think Ped expected them to play as well as they did. Hell what few starters we DO have sat. And if I am Lurie and he us taking a lead in a game we needed to lose,I make the call to the sideline(thus putting Suds in). I felt bad for the players, who were busting their butts to win to have the rug pulled out from them, and I'm also sure it was a tough call for Lurie, knowing he was sacrificing a valiant effort from guys trying to save their jobs. In my mind,I thought those guys fought hard enough that some will stay on the team. So they accomplished that mission and we also lost the game which accomplished Luries mission. So, on the bright side, a loss was basically a win for all because all(or many) played well enough to keep their jobs facing a team that was busting gut to make the playoffs. We were out of it anyway and I'm sure it was a hard call for Lurie. Maybe Suds also got orders to "stink up the place" IDK but he was HORRIBLE. I guess we will never know because those "unknown" phone calls) don't get reported lol

Here's the question I need answered. WHO hires and fires the S&C staff??? We need to find out WHY WHY WHY we are ALWAYS one of the most beat up teams in the league. It can't just be bad luck. Here's another question I need answered. WHY did we sign Howard? Did we sign him for NEXT year? We didn't play him(or Sanders much for that matter). At least we know JP is finished. Not much consolation there, but why hire a RB you don't use when you already have a RB you don't use? SMH

Two things

1) The talking heads whining about the Eagles playing Sudfield in a MEANINGLESS game in week 17.  Every NFL team does it! The ONLY reason anyone is even talking about it was because it was the Sunday NIGHT game. Shame on the NFL for flexing two poopy teams to Sunday Night Football. And Giant players, coaches, and fans, Pederson did your sorry butts a favor. At 6-10 you were NOT going to win a playoff game. It saved you the EMBARRASSMENT! So shut the hell up already!

2) If the Eagles trade Wentz, they are stupid!....unless they get 2 or 3 first rounders....which is NOT going to happen. Hurts is ok. He brought some excitement for a few weeks to a poopy team. But they went 1-3......ok, 1-2 as a starter and beat a backup vs the Saints. Hurts could play in the league a long time. Can he win a Super Bowl? I don't think so. I think Wentz can. I think Wentz sucked this year. But you dont forget how to play all of the sudden. He was league MVP a couple of years ago, excluding the injury. The Eagles dont get home field without him and probably lose in the first round. Just saying. Dont kick THAT guy out the door.

IDK how you can judge a rook after 4 games. We'd be more than lucky to get ONE round 1 pick for Wentz. He played like total garbage and led the league in picks and sacks(he blew his MVP status right there IMO it was unwarranted). I don't want to pay millions for a pine rider. Apparently he DID forget how to play. At least Hurts throws balls away(harped on that many times) while Wentz forced it and got picks out if it or took unnecessary sacks. Hurts plays smarter ball and I have no clue what we have there after 4 games. I know Suds needs to go be a greeter at Wal-Mart.If Wentz had a 1,2,3 game slump,ok, it happens, but not 12 weeks of slumping

Hope Joe and Wrang are both ok. Haven't heard from them at all

So what was "the big news" coming out of "the big meeting". Let me guess "everything's fine, we are re-evaluating and discussing our options going forward. We love everyone we have and just need to work harder" See, I can write this crap without knowing anything at all!!!!

A good breakdown of JJAW.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside vs Washington 2020 - YouTube

This guy noted some of the same things I did with regard to his blocking, and it should be noted that we ask Ertz to do a lot of the same things in our offense, so in this game he was acting essentially as an H back or TE2 on numerous reps, which I think is a role he can really be good at.

He was never going to be good in our offense with Ertz on the field since he is really good at doing the exact same things. His route running was also really good this game, and I think he will play a much bigger role in the offense next year.

Yes, I think Sudfeld exposed the Oline for what it was. Hurts mobility....helped him escape a terrible Oline. The goal isn’t to have a terrible Oline though. Need somebody with the arm to stand in the pocket. Let the run game and playaction control things.

Wentz stays. He will be slotted in as the #1 to begin TC. Will Hurts out perform him? Who knows? But Hurts did not impress me either. First no one had film on him so he will probably take a step back next season once defenses scheme better.

Also, my take on Sunday. Doug completely screwed that up. Kick the FG to tie the game and put in Hurts for one more series. We will still lose but no one in the country is crying foul. We still have that #6 pick. My opinion which is worth 2 cents... maybe less.....

Got email from Wrang. He did not watch one play of the Eagles last season and did not miss it. He is totally out right now and may or may not come back. He is tired of arguing with certain people and probably is gone for good.

I think Wentz wants out. We kinked the golden boys armor. Most picks and sacks in the league.I don't want a QB like that. I think we try to trade him for another 1 pick and in the event that happened,I already laid out what I would do personally. Most rooks will be "figured out", but they also IMPROVE and we will see different team makeups from this year to next. SO IDK,too early for me to say if Hurts is good or bad

I have a TOP OG in my mock and a pretty nice C picked out. I believe that will help the line if both pan out. I have no clue what Kelce will do. He has been retiring for 3 years. My thinking is to get Kelce's replacement in. The guy we have is a UDFA and nothing special. Other than that we have OG's "who can play center". For me that is not good enough. I want a C who earns his paycheck at his assigned position. My OG choice should be good enough to either start or be a BU year 1 and start the following year and that would at least lock down 2 spots getting both of those picks
