If we trade Wentz and had another round 1, my target would be Mac Jones-QB-Bama. I would still take Zac Thomas as a UDFA and show Suds the door

Wentz stays. He will be slotted in as the #1 to begin TC. Will Hurts out perform him? Who knows? But Hurts did not impress me either. First no one had film on him so he will probably take a step back next season once defenses scheme better.

I thought Hurts was ok but I would agree that he wasn’t overly impressive and this is why I brought up the question of should we strongly look at QB especially if say we trade Wentz.

I think Wentz wants out. We kinked the golden boys armor. Most picks and sacks in the league.I don't want a QB like that. I think we try to trade him for another 1 pick and in the event that happened,I already laid out what I would do personally. Most rooks will be "figured out", but they also IMPROVE and we will see different team makeups from this year to next. SO IDK,too early for me to say if Hurts is good or bad

What Wentz wants and he gets are two different animals. The Eagles cannot handle that much dead cap and no way they can handle it this season. Unless Wentz wants to dig into his own pockets and pay back the Eagles, he is staying this year. Deal with it and move on. Besides, no one will give us a 2nd round pick let alone a 1st! This is done. I know many on here think it is possible, but forget it.

Everyone has given up on Wentz. The main issue with Wentz is Wentz! he still has all the game he had when the talk was he would make the MVP. Problem is he is too dam arrogant and needs someone to put him in his place. Get that OC that will stay in his face and coach him as Reich did. Draft a center that can play Guard if Kelce decides to play another year. Draft another Guard later on day 3 for a BU and train... Brooks is coming back We are set at Tackle. Once the O-Line is healthy Wentz will have the time he needs to get that groove back.

Hurts is OK, but he is no MVP type QB nor ever will be. He is built like Wilson but doesn't throw nearly as well and does not have the brains either. He is a great Back up and a average starting QB. He may develop into more but that is how I see it today....

If he wants out he would have to give back the bonus and re-structure his contract to be tradable. If he wants paid to ride pine we should be willing to do that.So if he wants to PLAY he will need to make a trade for us possible or sit and watch from the sidelines

OK so how overly impressive can a ROOKIE with 4 games be playing with barrel bottom players???? Jebus. NO QB is superman

And you know this after 4 games played mostly with bottom tier players? Amazing stuff. I will do my mock and take my UDFA QB and tell Suds to go away. I could have played better. IDK what we have in Hurts after a mere 4 games with sub standard players, last game with scrubs, but if given the chance to take an upper tier QB in this draft,I would if we can peddle Wentz

IDK if we gave up or he forced us to. A 1,2 game slump happens, not a 12 week slump. In his defense plays were not called to help him out, then again he led the league in picks and sacks. Hard to know who to blame,so I will just blame everyone, Wentz, O line, PED, FO ,S&C staff, Howie, Lurie, the janitor.............

He had more to work with than Wentz. Ertz came back as did DJax. Sanders was available. Fine, Let's play it out. Wentz will most likely be slotted as the #1 going into camp and we will see who ends up on top. Bottom line is we will have both next September.

Depends on how bad Wentz wants out. If he returns the bonus we can trade him. No sense keeping an unhappy QB

Look, you don't go from an MVP player to a sup par one in 1-2 years. Not without some help from bad play calling and bad protection and bad Coaching. ADd to it no Training camp and not being able to work with the new WR's. Granted, he caused some of the problems himself, but it can be fixed and it will have to be for the Eagles to advance next year.

Would you return 20 million if you were in his shoes? Seriously? I sure as heck wouldn't. Never give back cash you have. He has probably spent some of it anyway.

Not given up at all but am also don’t want to get caught with my pants down either. There  is a possibility that Wentz could be gone that just something we have to consider.

If your not 100% sold on Hurts and I have to image the FO/staff has some idea what’s going on with Wentz you have to look at all available options guess is my point.

I’m not 100% sure on this... If the Eagles and Wentz do want to part everything I have read that it makes the most sense for him to be traded before the 3rd day of the next league year. Unless Eagles/Wentz work out something else that frees them of that guarantee money he will receive after the 3rd day of the new league year.

Again this is all speculation if Wentz truly wants out or not.

I suspect if Wentz is to be traded that it will hinge on a redone contract being signed. I'm not sure the Eagles want to move on from Wentz but if Wentz wants to move on then he will have to bend a little in this.

He isn’t going to redo his contract he at best might forgo some of the guarantees and might agree to terms with a new team making them more willing to trade for him...

But Philly will still have to eat some dead money if a trade happens.

Well yeah perhaps. I suspect any potential trade would hinge on lowering the cap hit.

How did the bears make the playoffs at 8-8

I thought Matt Nagy was a realistic option for Doug at OC not my first choice but they know each other unlikely Nagy will get fired especially if they win a playoff game

Does he even need to win a play off game? I guess he does.

I mean... I would say yes but I’m not the owner or GM so not my call lol

I mean he's got a lot of talent on defense. He's not been given a lot on offense really.

Thank the decision to add a 7th playoff team to each conference.  If still following the old format, the worst record of the WC teams would be 10-6.

What's a bit of a joke is that Miami missed out on the play offs despite getting to 10 wins.

I'm sure the team that got him would give that back lol. At any rate, I am done speculating until I know more
