But no Heisman.

I misunderstood ... I thought you meant why didn't he win the Heisman this year.  My bad.

OH not bashing at all. He got beat out by his QB(Chase did), yet Smith beat out all QB's this year(even the top 2 going first in this draft) . Why I said it's difficult for a WR to win the big prize, so there must be something a little special there. JJ has outperformed all WR's taken ahead of him. He said teams that didn't draft him would be sorry and he walks that walk lol. So for me I look at who fits HERE the best. Stats being equal IMO Smith is the better receiver for US. These top 10 picks are going to be super interesting this time around. Smith is smooth and polished  I think better than Chase. In Chase's defense it's tough to gauge when you don't play. But IMO Smith is the best fit here opposite Reagor. I have zero clue what we'll do. Probably take a kicker

I'm just imagining(aka dreaming) in my head the duo of JJ and Smith starting next year with Fulgham, Goodwin and Ward checking in and out lol

I guess so ... Smith was the first receiver to win it since Desmond Howard in 1991 (and only 2nd WR since 1940!)

EDIT:  correction, only 3 in past 40 years (Tim Brown being the other)

That exactly my sentiment🤓You know we're soooo smart, much smarter than everyone else...Kicker feels right 😈😂

Well lets just hope Smith is more like Tim Brown who was the other WR to win it, and not Desmond Howard who only had 2 good seasons in his career and that was as a return man.

An endorsement for Micah Parsons.

Thomas R. Petersen 🦅 on Twitter: "Me before tape of Micah Parsons: "You're an Eagles fan. Don't get too much into LBs again this year, you know it won't happen" Me after tape of Micah Parsons: "Eagles need to absolutely draft this man. He's a world class talent" Why am i doing this to myself every year. #Eagles https://t.co/waUnk4seum" / Twitter

He is the best linebacker prospect in years. Would the Eagles draft a LB this high? Probably not. Would he be better in the 3-4? Probably. But if he's on the board when we pick, he will be the BPA. And there is a lot of wisdom in picking that player.

I have better odds to win the powerball then Eagles taking a LB in the first round :)

We need to find that SHARP QB- Brady 2.0. We thought was would be Wentz 🤨

We have Howie. Howie and wisdom may not belong in the same sentence. New DC coming in,maybe we go back to the 34???

I just dont see Parsons getting to 6. If we HAD to have him we'd need to move. I suspect the Falcons would take him. I'm seeing QB,QB, sewell, parsons as the top 4 off the board. Also leaning towards Cincy taking Paye which means we have our choice of WR's at 6 and in that scenario we could trade back with Detroit or Denver and still get either Smith or Chase. I think Carolina stays put where they are. Maybe if we moved back and either wanted the 3rd QB we could pick up a 4th? I would do that all day. IDK what's on Detroits mind. Since we are cash strapped,I can''t see us moving UP and spending raft capital when we need MORE picks, unless we wanted to give up a future round 1 pick for him(that COULD be worth it)

I still believe it is Wentz if he has the right coaching staff and scheme around him. With the new rumors out today about Doug not safe still that is a good sign the FO saw Hurts struggle just as Carson did under Doug and gains him a year to prove it under a new HC for at least one year.

Yeah can Wentz be fixed though? It's not like he had a 2,3 game slump,he was awful with making decisions. I think that made his actual PLAY look worse than what it was. He needs to be spot on with decisions and I didn't see that. Hurts played smarter,he IS a rook,he will make rook mistakes, but Wentz should be beyond that

The Falcons have needs everywhere on their defense except for LB. Jones and Oluokun are both really good. The Jets and Dolphins make much more sense as they both run a 3-4. But if he gets past them, there's no way the Falcons or Bengals take him.

I also DONT know how any of those BAD plays were audibles by Wentz. I DO know Ped gives up on the run, we are built for a RUNNING game

Famous last words lol. So you have 2 decent LB's you're not gonna replace one with world class guy and maybe trade one in FA? Actually if they did that WE could be a trade partner for their rejected LB lol. Bengals D was awful(but good enough to tie US lol) So I cant rule him out for them either

Hurts did not play smarter. He just ran the ball more which teams started to figure out and contained more after a few weeks. Hurts and Carson's problems were about identical. Both were horrible in turnovers, sacks and accuracy. Ive seen in 16,17,19 that Carson can be a very successful QB. 18 he was injured, came back way to early. 20 is the only really bad season he had. I think Lurie and Howie are on that same page as well.

Nah,he was throwing balls away when the play wasn't there, Wentz was forcing it and taking all those picks, the other issues you mention are all O line related, but IMO Hurts played smarter. BTW a "pro" vet QB does NOT stare down receivers. Wentz did, more EZ picks for the defense. That is NOT smart ball

So,I will stick my guns and say the Falcons take Parsons, then trade one of theirs off in FA and WE could want THAT guy they removed. That would be smart on their part

Fins should take Sewell, they would be stupid not to, protect your new QB

Anyway just saying what I would do. Doesn't mean squat lol

So,I think FIns take Sewell, Atl takes Parsons and Cincy takes Paye. I supppose it's possible Cincy moves up 1 with ATL and those get reversed

They drafted a tackle in the first round last year, and got pretty good play from the oline this year.

Once again,if you can improve a position you do it. whether he is better than what they have is on the Fins FO and you can always, ALWAYS trade off a nice OT and I also have no idea whatsoever if that guy last year can play ROT or LOG. Maybe that is an option for them, maybe not IDK. But guys like Sewell don't come around often

My point is,if you could have Sewell, would you take him over Dillard? I think that's a no brainer. That's what the Fins should be thinking

FWIW I wouldn't take Sewell over Mailata.

Also, if I were the Dolphins I would draft Parsons at 3. He could play inside or outside LB in their 3-4
