A bit surprised by the lack of stats for Mims and Aiyuk(I had Reagor in this grouping). Of course Darnold is awful. Mims is no slouch, but he needs a QB

IDK I had Reagor as a late 1 early 2, but his speed moved him up I guess

I didnt want Reagor at all. Im different from most, I dont care about there 40 time and speed. With WR I want a technical route runner with great hands. They can have avg speed cause lets be honest, DBs are just as fast. i want someone who can win match ups with a precise route cause that will get you more out of a player then just speed which is all I saw with Reagor.

I, (and everyone but Howie) was set that we would get JJ. That was my first shock, then taking Hurts was the next. This team always leaves me with my mouth open or swearing or throwing pillows at the TV

You pretty much just described Smith. He could use to add a few pounds, but he will give you throwing windows. IMO he is the most polished in this class and why I have him over Chase

I’ve felt speed was a key missing element for our team. Old and slow is what we turned into. I wanted Hollywood Brown instead of trading up for Dillard. But you got to understand that it’s not just about having the best receiver. It’s about making the rest of the guys better. We have needed some kind of downfield threat to make it less easy to play us downhill and shutdown our rushing attack and to spread things for our TE(s).

Round 2 WR's (IMO)    Olave and Marshall. Round 3      Kadarius Toney(Gators)   Round 5- Nico Collins(Michigan)   I have zero clue where we take one, but for me those are my options

IDK all WR's are fast or they wouldn't get drafted. Flat out speed does no good if you get blasted off the LOS. I look more at the cone drills at the combine along with route running skills than the 40 times, because those guys give you agility and windows for your QB to throw in to. TO me a 4.30 vs a 4.40 doesn't make alot of difference. I also look at leaping ability. Can this guy climb a ladder to get contested balls? That is very important to me because face it not all passes are perfect. I want the guy who can adjust to those NON perfect throws and make the play(Alshon USED to be great at that).. Also like to see YAC effort at least

I don’t see taking a later receiver as being a good option. We need a number one guy. We don’t need yet another very developmental guy....we have plenty of those right now at the position.

I think Smith/Chase can step right in. I see no reason he can't be an immediate starter. We gotta stop coddling players and make them PLAY. I just offered up my choices if we DO SOMETHING ELSE. All of those guys should be able to play, even the later picks. I'm sure there will be pains, but I would put any of them on the field. Toney can play,so can Nico. Christ we were playing PS WR's lol

IDK we could do something stupid and bring Djax and Alshon back lol(we're pretty good at stupid)

I would have NP taking 2,but that would cost us somewhere else. Say Smith in 1 and Nico in 5. I may not like it, but I could understand it. Nico would put Jjaw on the bubble. Let them duke it out

Just doesn’t make much sense. Plenty of guys to develop in the WR room already. We only have one spot really available and that should be for a top guy only.

LMAO they keep showing clips of the missed bears FG vs us HAHAHAHA

Developing is different than TALENT. IDK how much more we can develop who we have. They are PS WR"s. They came through, but they have limited talent(or they woulda been on someones roster). I think Hightower is a keeper(also one of my picks), Fulgham can be useful like Ward. Reagor I have no clue where he is in the development chain, but no matter, you always need to keep the talent coming in. Stop that and you get into BS positions like we're in now(because drafting Jjaw was not the answer) and paying FA"s NOT to produce is not the answer. We also have Goodwin who we haven't seen

And so Smith at 6 and Nico in round 5 would not really bother me much if thats what they wanted to do . I think Nico> Jjaw right NOW. So the idea is to keep upgrading all through the roster. I agree though we need that top 1 or 2 pick just because they have the most talent

I would also be fine with a round 2WR and Nico in 5 if there was a severe impact player at 6

My knock on Toney is he is smaller and could get beat up in the NFL, but he is elusive and gives you YAC. Has some nice juke moves

So Ham we got Hightower about where Nico would go and he contributes(if they let him play). But the key really is to get a QB(Fix Wentz,  trade Wentz, trust Hurts or whatever it is) or none of this other stuff matters

All these guys should be very young still in our WR room. I don’t expect DJax or Alshon back. It actually makes some sense to bring in a veteran. The idea of signing Golladay could be the best fit for our offense more than most draft picks.

I would say that I totally disagree with you about the development level of our WR room. Needing to be developed is exactly how that room looks right now. Ward I believe is at his ceiling pretty much. Reagor, Hightower, Watkins, Fulgham and JJAW all just scream get them up to speed and more precise. Looked like we kind of saw Watkins break out at the end of this past season. But these guys haven’t remotely reached their potential. Fulgham splashed. But then it seemed the defenses kind of got the book on him. So he needs to learn how to counter that. We understood Reagor was more raw than the other receivers at the top of the draft. Wasn’t about drafting him for 2020 only. Looking forward to him rising with his obvious huge abilities. Hightower got him some crucial early experience. Guy just screams that he needs to be developed and lifted to that next level. He could be a good player. JJAW it almost seems like has a Wentz problem. He’s a big guy that can block out, to use a basketball term. He also helps the rushing attack being a quality blocker. I think he shows some versatility in being able to possibly man some of the Ertz role as well.

Please no more rejects from other teams

So how is adding 1 or 2 going to STOP those players development? I need to know this, Drafting a few more is going to halt the other guys progress? You need to explain this to me

I wouldn’t consider Golladay a reject. Went over a thousand yards his second and third season.

Many did,so??? He had a coherent QB also. Not a great one but coherent, we dont have that.if he's so good why would they let him walk?

I'm not spending on FA WR's until I KNOW I have a capable QB. Doesn't matter who it is. When your entire WR corps has NOBODY over 500 yards, the problem is not your WR corps. So I will draft rooks because then I have 4-5 years to find my coherent QB

How many development projects can you have in a single position group room? Seems like our cup runnith over with young developmental receivers.

He’s a free agent. I would assume they will make him an offer. Does he want to stay in Detroit? What is going on with the Lions front office and coaches?
