BTW how do you scheme for missing wide open WR's and staring them down? That was a play fail before the play was even called in

Lurie is in florida bud.

That's why we got Hurts because our O line had nothing. Our BU's were EXPOSED as "less than" BU's in many cases. You're not going to succeed with ANY QB with 14 line changes in 16 games. Not happening. Shocked Sanders put up any numbers at all(when, you know, we DID play him)

No they were exposed as backup think we need to start acting like we should have 10 quality starters we lost 8 guys on our OL this year no team was going to be able to compensate that type of loss

Fact is Brooks/Lane are still probably the best at there spots or at least top 5... Kelce still a stud C... Semaulo is a quality starter.

Heberg, Driscoll quality backups and Mailata/Dillard one decent starter with a decent backup

If you have to scheme for a 34 million dollar 5 year vet QB,you will fail (as we did).Just execute the damn plays. Let's not make this harder than it is

Most coaches scheme guys open and help the QB out not uncommon especially just to help them get going

Malcolm Jenkins on Twitter: "Duce Staley #NextManUp !!! Every time he stood in front of the team he had the attention and respect of everyone in the room. The embodiment of what it means to be an 🦅 @Eagles , in a coach. I’m good where I’m at lol BUT, In another lifetime I’d love to play for him!" / Twitter

It makes a lot of sense for Duce to be named the head coach and for the team to get a solid OC to run the offense. They have internal candidates to run the defense, and a new OC could bring in some fresh blood with him to get the offense going.

The one thing about coaching is that you have to be able to delegate, and Doug was bad at that. You could tell in the fact that our playcalling usually got worse as the game went on. Have an OC focused on the offense, and DC focused on the defense and a head coach focused on that role.

NO WAIT, I called for him LONG ago so that has to be OUT, got bashed then too HAHAHA(also bashed for mentioning Gruden and garrett). You haters gotta believe and stop bashing me all the time Duce, Gruden, Garrett, Mayock.  Pick 3 and put them in anywhere you want!! Just get me FOOTBALL GUYS not freakin DESK JOCKEYS

Would somebody please buy the Eagles! Lurie seems like a nice guy, did well w/ his grandpops' film co then started his own. THIS AIN'T HOLLYWOOD! We don't need any more drama, we need a well run operation. Howie is as good a GM as he is a talent evaluator - average! Howie wanted to play GM and failed. "Daddy" Jeff has a choice to make, does he want to continue down this road or get someone who can actually get the job done.

They do scheme guys open yea I’ve seen it numerous times for GB it’s those legal pick plays again it isn’t an uncommon thing in the nfl.. scheming WRs open

As for the Brady hell yea most his career was short passes to get guy open quickly to hit

No,it's called executing the play,we should try that sometime. So those "legal picks" were part of the play? That's not scheming, that is EXECUTING the play as it was designed

Watch film of Brady get pressured regularly and watch him miss wide open guys in his NE days hell pretty sure he had a few games with TB as well if I recall

Yea picking a guy the F open it’s called scheming a player open it way easier to hit a wide open target you schemed open and the QB already knows where the hell to throw

LOL no that's executing the play as it was drawn up. You scheme when you CANT execute and there is no reason to scheme otherwise

And he did this for 12 weeks in a row????

Has any team ever not had a HC? An OC takes care of the O, DC the D, stat and replay guys up in the booth. Know it's been done for games. Just seems there's so much focus on the HC, very little on the GM.

Howie is staying. I suspect more of the same with different faces. Just moving in the next set of BS pawns

The weird thing is it seems like they twisted the story up. Wasn’t it Pedey that stuck by Wentz so long through his slump this season? Reports were stating Lurie wanted him benched.

I'm gonna butt out for awhile(you can applaud now).

Who knows what rumors are correct Ham. I do know both coaches under Howie wanted him gone, as I do.

Wentz looked good when conditions were good. He processes slowly, rarely leads his receivers, quite often doesn't see the open man, holds on to the ball too long. Foles did better with that good team when Wentz got hurt. The team got a spark with Hurts, making me wonder if they lost confidence in Wentz. Then we praise Hurts for running the ball, which is what we didn't want Wentz to do - of course Hurts is much better and faster at it. It's also not Hurts' 1st option, but when he has to - like with all his decision making - he processes and acts on it much more quickly.

‘58 you are right, it’s hard to know what to believe. I definitely feel like everybody is trying to play us through the media.

Did Lurie interview the replacement since Pedey’s end of season interview?

Doubt it, that would be the responsible thing to do!

Lots of competition for HC's. Still think we could have gotten something for DP, partially responsible but the scapegoat for all the incompetence - nothing new under Howie.

Figure Kelce retires? Hard to believe he’ll want to be part of a rebuild with a new coach.
