Our scouting department apparently identified Jefferson and Chin in the draft. So I am sure that they will have a greater voice moving forward.

I can wish for this ,but Roseman must have nude pics of Lurie at a massage parlor, so all I see is the same old, same old with a new set of faces they can blame

I think Pederson was a very good coach. He just didn’t want Lurie and Rosie dictating everything to him.

I only thought we were a 7 win team so...,4 wins and a tie isn’t that far off. Basically came down to we needed to win those division games.

Requested interviews with Saleh, Bowles and Arthur Smith(Titans OC).... Think Saleh has show he is a good coach and deserves a chance running a team not sure Lurie/Howie would hire a D minded coach though(he would have to have a sure fired OC hire in place I’d think)

Todd Bowles- honestly I’d find it an underwhelming hire but is a respected coach in this league

Smith- he is my under the radar guy really like what he has done with the Titans O utilizes the ground game and the work he has done with Tannehill... Also Titans now how to develop WRs as well so there that as well bring along the Wr coach as OC lol.

Another coach that I’d be highly interested in is Joe Brady Carolina OC.... Might be to young and not sure he has enough connections yet in the NFL but I think he is going to become a hot name

team got worse every year after the SB.He was AWFUL at clock management and decision making. His play calls were not good- no improvement in 5 years. Always gave up on the running game. Team came out FLAT WAY too often. Gave him a pass as a rook HC for 2 years. Nothing got better, SOS. I don't see how you can say he was a good coach

7 wins woulda won this lame division(not that that is spectacular), so yeah it's far off enough to at least stop us from hanging another banner at the Linc

Out of 32 teams we had the 4th worst record. 2 of those were ONLY because of the cincy tie. If we had lost that game we would be 30th worst. Thats a good coach after 5 years ????

Every team is interviewing these same 3. With the poor QB play, I would not come to Philly. I would need something of a foundation which is non evident here. Of course money talks and BS walks,so who knows who we land. For me to go here,it would take alot of "pot sweetening"

This is a terrible indicator of a good coach I mean hell AR went 4-12 after what 13 years here was he suddenly a bad coach??? Sean Payton won a SB not long after had 3 years of losing records 7-9 teams.

I think Doug is a good coach lot happened here in Philly forcing him to change his staff and stuff plays part in it. Wish Doug the best we moved on now is what it is

At any rate, seeing the Jets Darnolds stats (possibly the only QB worse than Wentz) they really HAVE to take a QB. Should be interesting if they try to move to 1 with Jax

Who is interviewing Bowles I have no heard him or Smith as hot names to hire lol 😂 but also haven’t been actively looking to see who are the hot names either

Did AR win a SB here?

Every team watch the bottom banner on ESPN lol

As for our QB situation the biggest thing is the drama surrounding the two new coach can have his pick between two guys. Sure an O coach would believe he could either fix Wentz or build on Hurts we are not in that terrible a situation at QB.

That literally means nothing lol 😂 and also had nothing to do with the post I commented lol

BTW AR didn't make BONEHEAD decisions. I agree record is not the only indicator, but add that in with all Peds other issues and IMO he is a Bad coach

But Sean Payton did win a SB then had 3 years of 7-9 is he a bad coach???

Literally AR made terrible time management calls consistently throughout his tenure with us.... So yea I’d say he mad plenty of bonehead decisions.

Really? From a SB to 4 wins in 3 years is not a drop off? So is Ped hired now?? I mean if he's so great he should have a new office already

No competition for Peds mistakes,it's not even close. ARwas so bad he has a Sb contending team already in a short amount of time after he left HERE

Also AR hired his OL coach to be his DC that was pretty boneheaded

Some thoughts on the Eagles coaching situation.

I think there was a dysfunction in the coaching structure that led to our decline the last several seasons, and it's something that the team has to fix.

The way we were structured, the HC was really the OC, concerned with scheme and play calling, the DC oversaw the defense with no accountability, and the FO oversaw the draft, roster construction and even who was active on game days.

What this meant was that there was no oversight of the DC, and no real focus on player evaluation/development. The end result was that mistakes were made such as bringing back Peters with Mailata in the building, repeatedly benching/starting players like Herbig, the disappearance of Fulgham, the cutting of viable players such as Rasul Douglas, etc.

To me, this falls on the head coach. He should be the one evaluating players and position coaches, to ensure they are getting the most out of the players. Instead, Pederson was focused on designing practices and developing a scheme. So essentially we didn't have a head coach, we had an offensive and a defensive coordinator.

Moving forward, the team has to decide what role the head coach is going to have, and who us best to fill that role. Doug was fired because he was going to promote Press Taylor, knowing full well that he could just keep being the defacto offensive coordinator, which is clearly what our major problem was.

As far as Roseman, I think this is his last year unless he nails this draft and players such as Dillard, Reagor, Taylor and JJAW show significant improvement. If they don't, I think the owner will see the writing on the wall.

IMO, Doug needed to be fired. We made too many bad decisions in terms of personnel. The handling of the LT spot this year, and the oline in general, I put 100 percent on him. He has to know what he has in the building. Herbig should have been the RG from day one. Mailata should have been the LT as soon as Dillard got hurt, and probably should have played last year (he went on phantom IR to create a roster spot.) Douglas and Sidney Jones should have never been released. Gerry should have never started in front of Singleton.

A head coach has to know these things, which is why he's the head coach. But if he's focused on designing plays, I can see how he missed them.

He should have seen Wentz's regression and take steps to fix the problem. The tape from games showed flaws in mechanics, and I am sure they were there in training camp as well. But he didn't fix those problems.

This is not to say that Roseman is blameless. He has failed on way too many draft picks. But that solution appears to be fixable. Our scouting department apparently identified Jefferson and Chin in the draft. So I am sure that they will have a greater voice moving forward. The one thing about Roseman is that he has demonstrated he is willing to change. Doug refused to change, which is why he is no longer our head coach. Hopefully we will find someone willing to exist within the parameters of the organization.

I don’t think Pedey had any say about Peters. Lurie’s buddy and Hall of Famer JP was let go. Should have just stayed that way. Peters came back and then had a standoff against Rosie.

Schwartz had two former DCs on his staff. Flajole at LB who’d been here awhile along with Hauck had been here awhile with the S. So that’s a fairly loaded experienced group. Now...letting go Douglas...Manuel just got here as Secondary Coach. Got Zoom meetings and a tiny bit of practice to judge things for cutdowns. Douglas had plenty of opportunities his career here before that under Schwartz. He didn’t shine. So am I killing Manuel over that? Not really. Word was Craig James won the job and earned a contract.

Stout was running the Oline. So those combination were on him. Really think he did some excellent work with what he had this season. I mean this guy is a first class position coach. How much are you really telling him what he has?

Wentz? Seems like the players and coaches are trying to get through to a guy with a big ego that just got fed by the MegaDeal. Pedey’s quotes are "I want my voice to be the only voice heard in the QB room.” Basically having Press and Breiner in my mind speaking for him. But he wanted Groh. Think he got MM and Scange forced on him. So how much of this regression was Pedey’s fault?

Ham-nothing will change until Lurie grows a set and FORBIDS Howie to do the drafting/player acquisition. Those 2 are joined at the crotch. CHIP wanted(and got) control remember? when Ped was hired Lurie didn;t want to make that mistake again, and THAT was the mistake LURIE made

These guys are on an interviewing tour. We get there what?
Fifth interview for being a HC this offseason. They should be great at it!

It took AR 6 years to get that 1 SB in KC after being in Philly and never winning a SB since 99.

I’ll all but guarantee Doug will get another shot at being a HC AR was not fired here then hired the next day plus AR knew he was going to be let go and was lining up jobs before the season ended.

My point in all this though is lot of factors go into success as a coach.

Takes time. KC was a SUCK team we were already SB winners No comparison
