It’s the GMs job to add talent to a team it’s the coaches job to get the best from them Doug did that but again we most have a completely different definition of inheriting a team because I seen a coach that came with very little on both sides the ball. not coming into a SB winning squad that’s inheriting to me.

Guy who took over Jimmy Johnson job and won the SB he inherited the team

Can say Gruden in TB the coach that replaced Gruden in Oakland etc.

No coach starts with a blank slate this isn’t an expansion team lol.

Doug came in had no WRs a decent OL, no RBs, no foreseeable QB and a terrible D. He had about as poor a roster as you could be dealt

So Offseason 2017(a mere 4 months later) Ped had NOTHING to work with heading into the season???? OK then

He was the coach you can’t inherit something when you are already in place. We built a strong team in 2017 and Doug got the best from them.

Yeah, because the foundation was already in place, just add the icing

SO then how do you go from a SB to 4-11 if ped was so good?

Yep,that's what he inherited before the '17 season began. We had the foundation in 2016. In 2017 we added the icing and let's face fact, the strip sack saved that game or we wouldn't have a SB ring

Idk how did AR do that when he was here??? How did Sean Payton go 3 years in a row with a losing record...how did Belicheat go from 12-4 to a losing team. How does any good coach ever have a terrible seaso.

Lmao he was the COACH ALREADY!!!!!! To inherit is to take from the previous holder so he inherited the pieces Chip Kelly had in place here and AR.

He didn’t inherit anyone that was added in 2016 or 2017

Because they lose the players they inherited and they replace them with lesser players. That's why "league parity" means you will never see another "dynasty"

Yeah we had the foundation in place(AGAIN), that was inherited. 2017 we added the icing on the cake and that was before the 17 season began(a mere 4 months after what he already had)

Who???? Kelce/Lane the injured JP??? Majority of the squad that won the SB was added under Doug Pederson basically all the key pieces were under Doug not inherited pieces

They were added by Howie a mere 4 months after the 16 season

Lmao 😂 and but they weren’t inherited by Doug.. Doug was part of that process to add those guys he helped build that team... You can dislike Doug all you want but doesn’t take away from what he did.

He took a terrible 2016 team and turned them into SB champs in 2017

I think it was Reich lol

Whooooo interviewed Joe Brady doesn’t mean jack but I’d be excited if we gave him a chance

The biggest question I have about our next HCis what are we looking for... I mean with Doug it seemed like we wanted a puppet HC with the FO/Lurie calling the shots... If that is the case our future looks bleak basically becoming the Jason Garett cowboys

There has to be a separation and accountability between FO/coaching/players.

FO job is to collect the best 90 players they can to fill out the roster(drafting and FA)

Coaches- develop and pick the best 53

Players- performing.

They should all work together but they have to have some type of boundaries

Agreed and that's where I take real issue with Lurie's press conference. He said that they went all in on a short window to repeat. OK fine I mean we know that, Howie and Doug have talked about it. But that doesn't then excuse the pish poor drafting. Going all in to repeat doesn't mean you have to tank the draft.

My biggest fear is we can’t hire the best coach because of our FO... No coach is going to want to be head to be a puppet

We're gonna have to hire a HC that can PROVE Wentz can be fixed. I would prefer a D oriented one, but that appears to be a long shot

Knew that when Howie wasn't let go. New coach would have to be pretty hard up. Saleh could beat the crap out of Howie

It’s winning over Lurie that his the battle. Lurie is a complete supporter of Howie it’s definitely an uphill battle for a coach

We to can definitely still play you don’t go from MVP caliber player to trash over night it’s whether whoever is hired can maximize..If we opt to keep him. Still fell that decision should be left to the coach

Besides all THIS drama,I want/need to know if Kelce is coming back or retiring. It would matter to me in this upcoming draft. If he retires I will need a solid C for the next decade. The guy we have rostered is a UDFA. I checked him out, doesn't seem to be the talent I would want anchoring my O line

I’m assuming it’s over for Kelce. We have three C rostered Seumalo, Herbig and Juriga.

Totally disagree! Got rid of all those bad contracts from Chipper. Made great moves. But then made bad moves to try and hold on. Not on the coach though....that was more personnel related.

We need the total package...or as much as we can get of it. HC can be on either side of the ball as long as he comes with the best opposing coordinator. Hopefully some staff ready to come.
