It was "reported" (I use the term loosely) that Lurie told Howie to draft JJAW and Hurts.  How accurate that is really is anyone's guess.

yeah as I said I am not inside, but from a peripheral outside view,it seems obvious to me(could be wrong because I am NOT inside) that Howie is the entire issue. Like I said before, they pat each other on the back and hire new sets of people they can blame. That is not a formula for success

No, I want Howie removed from the process. He is fine as a contract guy, working /crunching numbers, but IMO he needs to be out of the draft and player acquisition process. That to me is where the logjam is

What you want and what you get are two different things. Didnt your mama teach you that boy, lol.

I will say this with some degree of certainty. Lurie is not a "football guy" .Yes he OWNS the team. I can also buy a car wash or restaurant and have someone run it without knowing a damn thing about either business. Same applies here. I can "order" my manager to buy things because I want them, but without knowing the biz, that is a shot in the dark

LOL if I want it, I go get it

Howie isn't going anywhere,so it's not what I want, it's what Lurie wants, and that is a .500 ball club because he can't see the problem that's right in his face

At any rate, at this point it's just a matter of who is then next failed HC, because nothing changes here, and it won't until Lurie WAKES UP

That isn’t happening right now so I want him held accountable for the roster he builds

But as I stated I don’t believe you can just take part of Howie job away you have to let him do or fire him and move forward with someone else.
So this is Howie show he is the GM no questions asked make him fully accountable for it and if he fails fire him

We, as fans, already have. We need Lurie to

The roster isn’t terrible I think especially O coaches would lick there chop to get there hands on either QB... Yes Wentz had a terrible year but not like he was always terrible sure most O guys would think they could fix him. You have a pretty good OL in place nice young RB. Young WRs. High draft picks

But the big thing is the FO that’s the one thing that could scare people off in my eyes.

Offense isn't terrible? Wentz was a mess this year. Who knows how good Hurts can be. The OL is ageing and that's catching up with them. The receivers are below standard in the NFL and the lead RB has shown he has to be managed in teams of workload.

And the defense? Yikes.

This is the issues with fans we only look at the right now.. Fact is Wentz was an MVP caliber player he didn’t just become terrible he has talent an O coach definitely would think they can fix him. The OL it older sure but still a strong unit can’t always think you will lose 10 guys a year on the unit and we got some young guys that looked really good coming up on that unit.

RB- Sanders can be a lead guy not many teams run RBs 25 a game anymore anyway he missed some games this year but some I believe he could have played like week 17 we just opted for him to sit.

WRs they are young but flashed some you have to believe they will continue to improve

So yea I think a coach would definitely see a team that has pieces no it isn’t a finished product and areas have to get better but that’s your job as a coach and FO.

Fact is Eagles do have some promising things on our roster and coaches will like that... Now do I think we have the best spot for a HC no I don’t I think the best available job is LA chargers. Then probably the Jags.

moght sound crazy but I’d take the Philly job over Houston though

Every team that’s looking for a HC was bad and every single team you can make a case why it’s a bad spot it’s not hard to do. But every team also has promising aspects as well

Wentz was an MVP calibre player... 3 years ago! The last 2 years before this one he was an up and down player with nice stretches and this team he's been damn awful. Time to let 2017 go now I'm afraid.

I am looking forward to a completely new offensive coaching staff working with the players we have and seeing if they can't get the best out of them.  One thing about Doug, player development wasn't great.  And he was stubborn, refusing to adjust his scheme to his players strengths.  Hoping a new staff will correct both of those issues which should yield more success.

We are screwed. As long as Howie is here running the show, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Only hope would be that he allows someone else to run the draft, which is false hope....depressing.....

Now we are losing Stout also? This just really hurts.

Steelers are trying to extend and lock in Keith Butler. He would make a ton of sense for us.

Nothing makes sense in Philly anymore. We just throw crap on a wall and see what sticks

Agreed, just replacing things with new faces to blame. I'll work for 4 years for what they make and get fired. I would be in good shape. In fact I will work for 3/4 salary. I won't be effective, but that's a nice savings!!! lol. I already have my "we need to do better" speech looped

OH, now that there are no "genders" How do we address this team? I suppose " overpaid diva grunts" is gender neutral?

Meyer to the Jags

Saleh to the Jets

I like Arthur Smith/Joe Brady/Ryan Day think any of them would be good hires

Mike Kafka keeps being a hot named linked to us why Kafka and not he KC OC

ANYone would be good hire, all the good/best guys are gone or soon will be LOL. We will wait, "ponder", "discuss our options", Scratch our balls, until there is only 1 choice left, then wonder why they will fail 4 years from now, but everyone will say OH GREAT HIRE!!! It's what we do best-procrastinate

So Saleh was the only good hire lol... Meyer from reports I heard would only coach in Jacksonville so not like he was a legit option for anyone besides the jags.

But also don’t believe anyone will be a good hire Kafka/Moore/Mayo don’t believe any of these guys would be good they could prove me wrong but definitely wouldn’t say good hire at the time.

Urban Mayer was a good hire. The Chargers were in the running as well. He’s not great at following the rules but knows some football.
