So we need to purge older players and massively infuse youth. All while bailing money. Went through all the obvious names we’ve been thinking. Still not enough. Still don’t have enough draft capital either. With that in mind....try this exercise. Trade two of these great players out of: Brandon Graham, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks and Fletcher Cox. Explain.

With Saleh leaving DeMeco is getting promoted to DC. Glad for him. That’s a good job.

Trading Johnson with a post June 1 designation results in $9.7M in cap savings ($8.1M in dead money).  With his recent injury history and age, he is one I'd consider moving.

Trading Brooks (again post June 1 ... all moves listed in this post use that designation) - $10.5M savings, $4M dead money.

Trading Graham - $13M savings, $4.9M dead money.

Trading Cox - $16M savings, $7.9M dead money.

Oh and for the heck of it, Wentz - $25.4M savings, $9.3M dead money.  But highly doubt Lurie wants to go that route.

If I had to choose another, it would likely be Brooks (for same reasons as Johnson).

Urban Mayer was a good hire. The Chargers were in the running as well. He’s not great at following the rules but knows some football.

They never were in the running he only came out for Jax. He would not have coached anywhere else

Wentz must take a contract re-do, OR he rides pine. It will be enough (aka pay us back to play-here or anywhere)

SO why didn't we hire DeMeco as DC before they lost Kafka? We move too slow

If Wentz and Ped had a rift, what makes you think things will go smooth with the new one? Are we finding a HC based on WENTZ"S approval??? If so, I am done with this team forever

Hire a DC before the HC??  Glad we didn't do that ... again.

Figured this was coming SF risked losing him to Saleh if not.

Think could make a case for trading Brooks/or Lane especially if you like some of the young guys we had.

But maybe the more logical trade might be the two DL both over 30 we are already heavily invest at DT with Malik/Hargrove also. DE Sweat seems like an emerging player and depending how you feel about Barnett your get younger at the spot.

If we were aiming to get the best value from the players in a trade from that list I’d guess Cox/Lane get the best returns.

Will it matter? lol. We already know who is running this team

Day, Fields, Olave. You may not like that, but it would make sense at least. Something this team lacks

Selling the farm to buy a barn. Not a good tactic unless you are certain the guy behind him is "as good or better"

A. Was just answering the question that was being posed.

B. We were 4-11-1 with these guys

C. We are in a tough spot with our cap so reality is we likely have to move on from guys will it be any of the guys listed above no clue but can’t completely rule them out either.

We are an old aging roster at some point we have to let this older stars go don’t want to hang on to guys and keep having Sproles/Jason Peters etc. just hanging onto guys for name sake

So regardless of the coaching change,I still peddle Wentz on draft day. So that brings me back to Day, Fields, Olave. if I'm losing Wentz,I would like that triple "chemistry"

If we're rebuilding everything, then Wentz needs to go away as part of that rebuild. If we spend alot of draft capital and he is not fixed, we're back at square 1 (again)

BTW, we could have 3 round 1 draft picks and take the top 3 WR's. If your QB can't hit any of them what's the point?

If Lurie's decision to can Doug involved (in any capacity) the desire to move forward with Wentz and the best plan to get him back on track, you can believe he won't be dealt draft day.

Because Wentz Fd up the first 12 games lol

Yea cuz Wentz was the only thing wrong with our team lol... Let’s just ignore how terrible our OL was hell even Hurts got effected by them and started to get sacked. Let’s ignore the drops from our WRs/TEs/RBs

Wentz was definitely a part of us being terrible but let’s not act like the rest of the roster was playing lights out and he was the solo terrible player

I don't think it was based on that. lets face facts Wentz SUCKED and ADD to that there was a coaching rift. Ped did NOT make Wentz play like warm crap,so that excuse is moot. keeping Wentz would be a monetary move, not a team winning move

That what some reports stated that Dougs firing was in part the difference in direction at QB Lurie wanted Wentz Doug wanted Hurts

Yeah so lets let the guys on the O line go that we DO have for more unknown combinations lol

IDK how many of the first 3 games would/could we have won without 6 picks thrown? That is also demoralizing to your defense cause they are on the field 40 minutes a game

If the goal is to try and repair Wentz Arthur Smith would seem like the best candidate to me.

Ran one of the better Os last two years. Gave new life to Tannehills career.

Also just added bonuses seems to know how to get the best from young WRs and is willing to utilize the ground game.
