I was reading an article with Mel Kiper talking Saying he was shocked that the Eagles took Reagor and how he had him rated as his 9th best WR but he also stated that numerous teams had Reagor graded as a 1st rounder.... Think it kinda just shows how NFL teams rate players can vastly differ from the so called draft experts....

Wish NFL Teams few years after the draft would release there big boards on players don’t even have to give the team names... Just think it be really cool to see how teams big boards compare to the draft experts boards

Dallas has done better at the Draft

I’m not really sure on that on looked at the Dallas drafts from 16-19 and really can’t say they drafted better then us....They have had some good picks Dak,Zeke the LBs etc. but also a ton of misses as well biggest might have been Taco

I think the only way to tell if a draft has been successful is to wait until their first contract is up and see who is still around.

I mean lots of factors have to be consider in that though like Pollard or Gallup they could be successful picks but might be let walk when the rookie deals are up because Dalls has so much already invested at those positions.... d

I think Mel Kiper is well over rated. Remember, he is one guy. Each team has 10 or more "Mel Kipers" working for them. I would think the teams have much more data.

Lmao kinda my point when people but so much stock in the so called draft experts boards vs actual nfl teams boards ....In also not a huge Kiper fan but Mayock is a GM now soooooo

I also don't think Dallas drafter all that great.  They are Dallas, they hype up players and perception is that they are better than what they are. Jerry is a great marketer.... the media helps also.

This invincibility perception about their OL. These young LBs have the perception that they are hall of fame.. let's relax a little.

The latest from the genius Skip....  I think Daulton could win 10 games with this team if Dak holds out.  Lol..   if Dak is your boy and he could only win 8..lol.

Dallas = hype every year.  The new coach is the reason Green Bay couldn't win more than one while having Rodgers in his prime...who was IMO the best player in the game for a while a few years ago.   8 or 9 wins again this year.

Yep, feels like the death of a great friend. But now we have the resurrected savior in this board thanks to @VaBeach_Eagle

Thinkin' it may have been Cook, but not sure

To show how much credence to give early draft grades, learned this am the Chiefs got a C+ for drafting Mahomes.

I answered him with a link to this thread. Figured that was best for anybody that looked in the final day

Wentz comes out and talks about Hurts joining the team. Of coarse the headlines are Wentz Breaks Silence...type stuff. Trying to make it like he was soooo pissed he wouldn’t talk to the media because of the draft. Not that he was busy welcoming his first child.

With our WRs still want to see Djax/Reagor/Goodwin/Hightower outside first two as the main guys bit wouldn’t be afraid to spell them with the other two keep the legs fresh and wear down the DBs having to keep up with them big plays will come...

With JJaw/Alshon working the slot assuming Alshon stays with the team and gets healthy

Then still have Ertz/Geodart working the middle

Sanders/Scott our the backfield screens etc.

I also still want to see Dougie get back to the under C stuff for Wentz doesn’t have to be a massive part of the O but thought it was an element of the 2017 O that helped get Wentz in a rhythm early games

More runs on 1st down too.

I loved Mayock when he did drafts with ESPN!  He was great!  Always had the pick for the next team...

Wentz did call Hurts a good kid. Definitely could read into that as a cutdown. It’s one thing for a coach to call him a kid. But a player that’s five years older....

When asked about Hurts being used in a Taysom Hill or Lamar Jackson type roll each week...Carson said he wouldn’t reveal any trade secrets. But he then stated he wants the ball in his hand.

These are kids coming out of college.   NFL is where the men play.

BTW... for entertainment, if you guys ever get bored and want to here a complete j@ck%$$ ...try a radio app from WIP and listen to Joe Giglio.   Dude thinks Hurts will be starting QB for Eagles in 2022.    Said Jefferson comes into a better situation with Minnesota because he has a more accurate QB...etc.   It is 5% higher.. .but lets break it down.. who threw to better WRs, more open guys and more checkdowns?   Plus who plays 10 or so games indoors?    LOL.    He basically did a thing we he was trying to say Andy Daulton was better than Wentz too....lol   Fun stuff.

Hi Asg, How you doing? I just rounded up some current info on the draft and things related to it.

First, There are 115 Division 1 college Football schools. The average amount of players on each of those teams are 110 with 85 of them being Scholarship players. Add that total and you come up with 12,650 div 1 football players. Divide that total by 4 to separate the Seniors in any given year and you have 3,162 Seniors eligible for the draft. Add roughly 138 underclassmen each year that declare for the draft to that total and you get 3300 players to choose from in any given year WITHOUT including Div 2 or Div 3 players. Each NFL team gets an average of 7 picks a year not including compensatory picks and no team can get more that 4 compensatory in any given year. For the sake of conversation, I am giving every team 3 compensatory picks which I know is a little high. Never the less. that comes out to 320 players drafted each year out of a minimum of 3300 players.

Okay, Only 35% percent of drafted and UDFA players make the 53 man roster on any given year. That is pathetic drafting and I don't care how you look at it. No excuses for any team to have a lousy draft with that many players to choose from unless you are incompetent or cheap when it comes to the number of scouts you employ. JMO

There are 32 comp picks given out each year.  so the draft is basically 8 rounds.... 8 X 32 = 256.   256 players taken each year.  minus any picks forfeited due to supplemental draft ...  256 is your number.

What it tells me ... is that NFL football is way better than college football.  The level of athletics ....etc.   College football is amateur ball.... the majority of kids use it to pay for their education.   A good college football player is still way behind the level of player #53 on an NFL roster.   While these players are " available to draft"   lets be honest... not all D1 schools have a good football team.  The underclassmen and the seniors from actual good football schools... are a much better level of player in general.

Their are 2 billion women on the planet.... how many do you want to marry?    Numbers don't necessarily mean high quality.
