Yes there is a difference. Duce knows how this team functions, Ped had no clue(and apparently never did or he would still be here). Reich is gone, that's the past. I am looking AHEAD

Lmao I’m not against Duce but if you delusional on concerns that you should have with him I can’t help you... Duce could do a ton to help relief those concerns in the interview he could have coached in place idk I’m not interviewing him why we should be but that still would be my #1 concern with hiring him is the staff he can build

What's delusional is ignoring him and wanting to replace yet another staff guy which only adds to the problems we already have. Howie decides on the staff,please. I can;t help you if you don't know who RUNS this team

So Duce the figure head coach got you that basically all he would be Howie is technically the HC since he would hire the entire staff

SO,don;t you "normally" promote your asst mgr to mgr when the time comes? Why is Duce different? he is ALREADY asst HC and if you are an asst someplace and constantly passed over,how long until you find another company that will make you a manager? My guess is 7 years

Why?

Some thoughts on the team right now.

1. I would hire Duce as the head coach. The players seem to really like him, and that's probably the biggest obstacle a new coach has. Some coaches - Patricia and Gase come to mind - fail because their players hate them. Duce already has the locker room, and it makes no sense to not take advantage of that. In reality, the important hires are probably the OC and QB coach.

2. I really think it would be a mistake to go into camp with both Hurts and Wentz on the roster. if your personnel department can't figure out which guy is better, despite seeing them both practice and play for a season, then it's time to hire a new personnel department. If Wentz is the guy, extend him and make it clear. If Hurts is the guy, trade Wentz. But if you don't know which guy is the guy, then find someone who does.

3. There's a scene in Moneyball where the GM says, "If the guy's a good hitter, then why doesn't he hit good?" The same is true for our drafting. We miss way too many times. This draft we need to get a future pro bowler at #6, legit day 1 starters in the second and third rounds and good depth from the rest of the draft. This team is devoid of talent at so many positions due to poor drafting, and we keep having to play PS-level players because our draft picks can't beat out UDFAs for roster spots. Davion Taylor? What are we even doing?

4. The owner is meddling way too much. It's clear as day that he is influencing football decisions, from draft picks to position coaching hires. And that's a bad sign. Last year Doug wasn't allowed to pick his staff, which is crazy. Suddenly Howie Roseman/Jeffrey Lurie know what credentials a WR coach needs to have? Let the coach pick his guys. There is not a single successful team in the NFL that has an owner that makes football decisions for them. The Browns owner was outed for demanding the team take Johnny Manziel, and that's the last time the owner meddled in the draft, since he looked like an idiot to the entire world.
