This isn't football related but I thought you might find it humorous.

My son in law is a Florida Highway patrolman. On May 2nd he pulled a car over for an expired tag with the intention of giving him a warning. The guy was very upset almost to the point of tears. The son in law said take it easy and the driver replied "But you don't understand sir I have drugs and guns in the car"

The moral of the story is even a fish would stay out of trouble if he would keep his mouth shut.

PT Barnum was right

Then of coarse some day three guys make the 53 league wide. With no actually data to back me up....off the top of my head I’d say 4.5 players every draft make the team. That’s averaging things out. Some teams trade picks and have less ...but also so teams have more.

IDK thats a huge lift when you only have 4-5 picks(BTW it's course-coarse is the opposite of fine).I am grammar policing today

Well then. You need a space after your first sentence. And your second sentence doesn’t have an ending punctuation. Your hyphenation is all wrong.  There is nothing in between 4 and 5 so it would be an ‘or.’ The hyphen in the middle of your correction is all wrong.   Doesn’t matter to me. But got to be careful when throwing stones while living in glass houses.

At least my spelling and usage of the proper words are correct. I will try harder to puncuate to your liking.

Found this at another source although I don't recognize the former VP's name.

Michael Keller, former Player, Scout and VP Football Operations (1972-2015)

There are roughly 400 players drafted each year. Another 300 players are signed as free agents (undrafted college seniors). Of these 700 players the yearly average is around 250 new players making it in the NFL. Obviously, these numbers change every year depending on the quality of players in the draft and the need of teams. So you have 35% of the drafted and free agents making NFL rosters.

An NFL roster is at 53 right now with a reserve squad of 10 - 12.

Here I found this on Keller

Michael F. Keller is a former American football linebacker and football executive in the National Football League. He played professional football for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Michigan

AGAIN... THERE ARE  256 PLAYERS DRAFTED   .... 7 ROUNDS + 32 COMP PICKS .    minus any forfeited picks via supplemental draft ... or the last couple years with penalties to teams with violations..... there is no " rough number.... its 256.

Yeah... Hurts is not going to take over for Wentz.... sorry kid.

Or here is another way to look at it.....    256 players drafted .... 250 make it  ... that basically the same number... so you can look at it like ALL the draft picks make it except the ones that get beat out by a UDFA.   What is that like 1 or 2 per team?    Seems about right.   Compare it to the other major sports.... wonder how many rookies make rosters right from college to pro?   NBA?   MLB?  NHL?

Gotta be more to it than just if a guy sticks. Like let’s say Espenesa. Decent player. Doubt he is a bust. But not a big upside on him either. So he could play for ten years. But if the pick behind him goes to several Pro Bowls then it was probably a bad pick. (Not withstanding nonscheme fit like you took the 4-3 DE and the guy after was a 3-4 OLB.)

Was my point what makes him worth that pick can’t just be he is in the league....

He wasn't a terrible pick,he got hurt lol

He was a terrible pick for the Ravens hurt or not doesn’t matter lol he wasn’t on the team...How would an Eagle fan feel if we spent a 1st on Perriman or another player was hurt 3 years then we released him???  Would you count him as a good pick for the Eagles????

Doesn’t make Perriman a bad player he could turn it around be a great player still a terrible pick or terrible decision(for giving up to soon)by the Ravens how ever you want to phrase it

They were paying rook salary, not a big deal and they rushed him back too soon. That is their fault. I had to add the spaces in for Ham. In fact, they played him in games every year, and never let him fully heal. SO, IMO that isn't a bad pick, it is bad player management. TB let him heal, and he was ready to perform when he had to go in for Evans and he did a fine job replacing their #1.

And if Raiders get AG help and get him his confidence back and let him heal up(was injured last year) and he does on to be successful does that make him a great pick also just poor player management by us....

Sorry to me pick was a bust for the Ravens that simple were there factors that caused it sure but still a bust pick for the Ravens.... Love the excuses for other teams but never heard this for a Eagles picks

The Jets were the most injured team last season. They were the most injured team ever since those advanced stats have been kept. Sam Darnold had a winning record last season as starter.

Well he only had success one year, then it was poor player management by us, unless I review his college drop rate, which I am not interested in now, since he is GONE

They were in the same situation as us over Hollins. We never tried to force Hollins back, the Ravens forced Per to play when he wasn't ready. Since when does that become the players fault??? You do what the people who write the checks want you to do, so once again we disagree as usual.

Lmao how do you know he wasn’t ready to come back no way to prove that the Ravens forced him to play and I highly doubt they did.... You think they were forcing him to play hurt???? Besides that you have no time for excuses for our players that are hurt could make the same case for Sidney Jones we have forced him back from injuries before he was ready...

Either way the pick was a complete flop for the Ravens no way to dispute that Perriman can go on to be a HOFer but was still a missed pick for the a Ravens

Reports saying we interested in Clowney

Added me a nice new pic for the new board finally lol... Wentz Houdini escape from redskins sack

LOL look at the games played by year. 2 here,3 there, they were RUSHING HIM BACK. Oh, so a HOF'er is a missed pick because you got rid of him???? But if you had kept him "GREAT PICK!!!" Sounds to me like someone who can't develop a HOF'er.  HAHA thats too funny

For that team yes he is a missed pick lol Chris Carter was a great player not for Philly though....Don’t know how anyone can call a player that was picked  by a team but succeed elsewhere a successful pick for the team that took him

Sounds like Clowney wants a long term deal, not going to get that here

SO he's a "missed pick" because we couldn't do anything with him? Or was he a good pick, that went to a team that had no coaches or didn't utllize his skill set ?
