Real question needs to be how serious are we on the youth movement and are we in full rebuild mode or the so called retool.

If we want to get younger first off would look at Graham/Malik can we get out of there deals. Have Hargrove who started to come on toward the end and Cox I liked Ridgeway as a cheap 3rd option. Graham we could go with Barnett/Sweat duo.

S- could move McLeod look at Maddox back there to fill his role also FA Hooker.

Offense- Brooks/Kelce/Lane could be serious option to consider trading if we seriously want to get younger add capital and free up cap. Lot of young guys got experience and should keep getting better Dillard/Mailata tandem maybe Herbig at RG??? Driscoll in the wings

WR/TE- I mean Djax/Alshon are gone and good chance Ertz gets dealt as well that’s three 30+ players.

Not saying we do half this stuff but lots of directions this team could go is my point.

I haven't been on here, so I missed a lot.

didn't Alshon and Malik restructure their contracts so that they can be designated June 1 cuts.   This gives them a shot a free agency ASAP and gives the Eagles more cap space for 2021.  Or should I say, it takes more off the cap so that they can get under by the start of the new league year?  I thought that was the point of doing it a few weeks back?  Saves like $5 mil or so... like an extra $5 mil?

I think the first move for both DeSean and Ertz will be asking them to take a pay cut.  If they say no, then the next move may be to give them permission to ask around for a job.  If the pay they get offered isn't high enough (I'm sure their agents will get a good feel)  it may be wise for them to stay and if it's done in a way where we save more cap space than if we cut them.  Otherwise, I don't see either coming back at their current price.

Goodwin is an easy cut.

After last year's results and being 1st year with a new coach, I don't see them looking to get rid of either Lane or Brooks.  Really they don't save much in 2021 if they move on, and 2021 is the year they need to look at to get under, they are ok after this year.   I think Graham stays for same reasons.  Now any of those 3 could be restructured and pushed further down the road, I'd prefer not to if it was me though.

Barnett, no way can they do the same like they did with Agholor.  He either gets a new deal like ASAP or he had to go.   The fact that they don't know how the draft would play out and if they could replace him, leads me to think they try to keep him at a lower price.

Excellent news!!!! Nice that his guys are bringing in THEIR guys. All those already know how to work together

There is a lot of stuff that I don't pay attention to with the media.  They need headlines.   2017 was a bad year for them, they couldn't criticize everything.   But boy couldn't they wait to get that QB controversy going.... first ripping Foles as he took over, then all of a sudden he was Joe Montana.   Believe me, they were in heaven this year with this team.  IDK where the logic is though... Lurie is obsessed with Andy Reid who was the coach for 14 years, we could say a lot about Andy.... 2 things you would never call him ... Skinny or puppet!   They know more than we do being on the inside.  They know what influence Reich, Schwartz etc had... seems like their confidence in Doug wasn't there without these guys being there to help.  Certainly not if all he wanted to do was promote from within.

Yeah it seems apparent to me Reich was the guy keeping Wentz high and when he left,I think Ped didn't connect with him. On top of that friction we use a 2nd rounder on a QB. SO maybe Wentz thought Ped asked them to do that? IDK, but that would sure make for a hot mess and it got into Wentz's head. I like this new staff coming in,but now we got rid of Wentz's buddy in Press,so without his "bro" around(who screwed Wentz up) I have no clue if he even wants to play here or if Siri can get him back on track

I'm not cutting him until I see if he can play. We got him on the cheap and he can be that "vet presence" since we have alot of young guys and supposedly we will have another new WR coming in,so maybe he can teach the kids some tricks before we let him go

I don't even want DeSean here. He gets paid big bucks for 1/3 of a season or a few games here and there, total waste of money. If a rook goes down, it costs you nothing. We need to stop paying the relics. If we get a nice deal for Ertz, take it. We ARE good at developing TE's. Instead of a "QB factory" we SHOULD be doing the "TE factory"(Celek,Burton etc) Goedert is fine, time to move Ertz and get the next TE started in the pipeline(the only pipeline we have)

I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE DRAFT (which is always dangerous!) Overall, I feel the defense is much weaker and needs more TLC. That being said, I can see the Eagles going defense in the 1st round. Yes, I have heard it 100 times before, the Eagles do not draft a LB in the first round, ever. Well, there is a first time for everything and Parsons would be a gem to help kick start this defense. Of course he may not be there, so the point is moot. If he isn't there WR is the obvious choice but we may gor defense the next 2 picks....

Joe no clue I haven’t deep dove into player contracts at all I listed older heads that the team could possibly look into moving that likely still have some value to get the younger as well.

And stated at the bottom don’t see half that stuff happening but i don’t rule anything out

I'm with you on DJax ... they need to move on from him ... now (well, before the official start of the new season).

I'd love Parsons but I'll be 101 ... highly unlikely they draft a LB in the first only because of how much they (and the league as a whole) devalues LBs.

If they do go WR at pick 6 I can definitely see day 2 being all defense (CB with either Samuel Jr or Campbell in the 2nd and hopefully Cisco is sitting there for them when we pick in the 3rd).  Those 2 day 2 picks would really help fortify the secondary.

If they go CB with pick 6 then perhaps we see a WR on day 2.  In that scenario I'd love if Bateman would be there for us at 37.

I’m a huge Rashod Bateman fan as well would be thrilled if we got him though I’m heavy D right now in my mocks

Honestly I’m interested in FA first though we won’t be massive players but we will sign some.  I’d expect some cheaper options that know our new coaches system.

Hence why I’ve listed guys like Walker/Hooker from the Colts D. Pascal/Mack  Colts O.

Yes I agree, they need to go heavy on D. The D-Line is good for now, so it is time to address other positions now. At some point the D-Line will need to be replaced also....

My top focus has been CB and Lb in the draft but if a stud DL fell to us find it hard to pass on as you stated we will need to address the DL at some point.

My focus with this draft is just great the best talent we can top rated guys for us we have needs across the board.

Why I keep saying Parsons at 6 to me he is the 2nd 3rd best player in the entire draft landing him at 6 is just great value.

There is a need to start injecting youth at DL but I think that can wait until next year considering this isn't the strongest draft for DL.  Strong CB class - we need to take advantage (coincidentally a huge need there).

He's my top round 2 WR target should we go in another direction in the 1st.  I just hope he lasts until 37 - have seen quite a few mocks with him going late 1st.

Altering my mock again(like you care) I now have round 2- Asante Samuel-CB FL st.  and in round 3 I like Paris Ford-S- Pitt(This kid is versatile)

Wasn’t sure where he was being ranked but kinda figured late 1 early 2 was the spot. Haven’t had time to do much really dive into the draft class lol

Anyway Paris Ford on my list. He's like having an extra LB on run plays. Sry, I still can't pass up the Heisman WR. I'm pairing him with Reagor and telling teams "we comin" Asante would make a nice CB and Ford is more than fine at S. Nail those 3 and we have a good draft start. I would also like to get a Pitt player with my first 5-Weaver(egde)

Well if we go Smith or Chase in rd 1 then it won't matter.

I’m curious to how Siri evaluate our own WRs and the guys in the draft.

Just looking at his time in the nfl seems to favor bigger WRs. Allen/ Williams with the Chargers, Pittman/Pascal/Rogers with the Colts

Tore his ACL in 2019 and seemed to lose a step coming back last year, but still would be worth taking a flyer on in the 5th rd (vs a 2nd on Jones).  That would be a solid pick!
