Something that could go into the Eagles favor with Smith though is I don’t see him testing well which could make him slip a bit.

From all I’ve read and seen Smith is A. Under sized some like 170ish B. Isn’t fast read he runs around a 4.5.

Now I don’t try and over think the combine states but some teams do which could lead to some slippage for Smith.

But he gets open and makes plays lol (I thought that was the goal???) he can add 10 pounds, thats why we have a staff. He won the Heisman?????

No doubt he deserved some criticism this year for what appeared to be lack of effort.  Maybe he was trying to play through some kind of injury that wasn't reported.  Or maybe sulking because he didn't get the contract he thinks he deserved.  If the latter shame on him ... he should know what our cap situation is like and that there is no way we'd be able to pay him top dollar (especially at his age).

Most of the criticism in past years wasn't really warranted though.

I agree about him being a Hall Of Fame Eagles.

He did see the cap situation and very much understood they had no intention of paying him....that’s what made it worse. It’s was obvious and he was/is hurt and frustrated about it. The TE market was really reset and he requested a new contract to reflect his worth at that time. This offseason he knew was the last chance. Once that didn’t happen he was a distraction. Worse than just not playing up to his level. Really fueled the shitstorm

Doesn't sound like there's any shot Ertz is back, so be it. Part of me wanted some sort of reconciliation, the cap space and pick more valuable right now.

This piece seems to corroborate what you are saying (that Ertz is indeed done here).

IDK so Smith is "undersized and slow, so how could he possibly win the Heisman?

And lot of those sacks were taken on by Wentz and Wentz fighting with the coach and missing wide open players... dumb decisions list goes on and on

Wentz was the biggest letdown of the year and what makes it worse you fight with the coach force your own plays and still play like crap

Jets have the #2 overall pick. Financially they're better off simply taking a QB there and keeping what Watson would cost. Really can't tell how well Watson or whoever the #2 QB's going to be

Financially yes. But good luck drafting a player the caliber of Watson. I’d take Watson over anyone after the first pick.

180 is still small lol.... And I stated all that for it to play in the Eagles favor. Fair or not scouts love them the underwear Olympics and the shining flashy guys tend to jump better players.

I am not even sure the Jets go QB in Round 1 this year. I read that they are not convinced Darnold is not the answer. Get him some blockers and WR's first. Maybe a coach that can design an offense around his strengths will change his play. We do not know.

Joe Douglas wants to trade back....he’s said he’s open for business on the pick.

Welp, this combine will be "different,so I have no idea how that goes. Not knocking, but Reagor was "FAST" and JJ blew him off the map. I will also point out Smith has dropped ZERO passes

And Reagor got picked first.... Again think you were missing my point on Smith testing poorly playing to our advantage

I'm with 93 here(shockingly) Wentz missing wide open receivers, taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away, staring down his receivers, making bonehead audibles at the line. Your woes all start there

I’m not saying Wentz isn’t very high on the list of issues. But every year before he was forcing balls to Ertz. Just saying...

Djax is 175, Ward is 190 Not a huge deal in my view

Yep the the Vikes war room went WILD when we made that pick lol

Dak to us, Wentz to Houston, Watson to Dullaz even up and we all start fresh lol(ok I'm reaching)

That would be a terrible scenario for us!!!!!

And Djax is injury prone and Ward is like 5’9 190 that Stout as F

WHo cares if they make plays? lol isn't that the point?

And again Smith testing poorly could play well for Philly.

If Cincy and Miami are torn between say Parsons/Smith Miami and Chase/Smith Cincy the poor testing could sway there decision away from Smith leaving him for Philly at 6

You will if he gets drafted an ended up on IR

You can say this about any draft pick

Sure but acting like some guys are more likely to get injured then others.... I mean not a coincidence that smaller WRs tend to miss more time

Whatever, seems DJax has had a nice career and face it he's a bit older now?

But to be honest I do hope some team looks at the Heisman winner and takes the flier or Miami. Since I want Parsons

And he hasn’t finished a full year since 12 I think. And I recall all you doing was ****ing about Djax being hurt

What does that have to do with Smith? You are just labelling guys lol

https://www.nfl.com/players/desean-jackson/stats/career  Other than 1 year with the no names, the only time he missed alot of time was HERE!!!!!

Lmao how are you going to compare Smith to Djax using Djax small size as an example of success yet ignore that same small players tendencies to be injured. Idk I tend to look at pros and cons of all player I don’t just ignore them

And he missed games every year since 2013.. And those don’t even account for the games he started and left or couldn’t finish because of injuries

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-prospect-rankings-updated-top-100-big-board-2021-nfl-draft  I don't agree. I still think Smith is the best WR on the board. But this gives you some indication of who could be around in 2,3. All 3 of my first picks are right there!!! Smith,Samuel,Ford(WR,CB,S)

This article is from Oct. Smith climbed the board since then
