I wnt Parsons anyway lol. If we do go WR, I think they may go Chase as we already have small WR's and need some size. Chase is not huge, but he is taller than Smith....

Chase is more just flat out more physically solid. No doubts there. Smith was just absolutely amazing this season. He has a fragile appearance. I’m fine with either one. One was the greatest last season and opted out. The other fresh off a blistering season. Which one do you  choose?

If you are a good player on a suck team your "drive to win" and abuse your body doing it, just doesn't kick in lol. You can't do this alone

This was about Ertz... yet it feels like we could say the same thing about Wentz.  The guy whose body and reputation took the worst hit.

I don’t think Parson gets ahead of Pitts for me.

I don’t think they go QB at #2 either I said Sewell but if they have a chance at Watson think you have to take it

Mu question about Watson.  What was his team's record?  Is a bad team getting him but giving up a ransom really going to compete for anything?

If the Jets think Darnold is decent, the option of using the #2 pick as well as keeping other top picks should be the route that they probably go.

If there is a no trade clause.... you can bet Watson will look to go to a decent team.  I'm not feeling the Jets fit that?

I mean really? They are just mugging him in coverage. Double and triple coverage at that. Dude is unstoppable!

Dak to us, Wentz to Houston, Watson to Dullaz even up and we all start fresh lol(ok I'm reaching)

Yeah... forget Dak.  He will make money that all counts towards the cap.  If we get rid of Wentz... only options are Hurts or a draft pick.  No other $$$ left.

That part of the issue with our cap lol not the issue of paying Dak. Wentz think set for 35m even if we trade him believe we only free up like 1m in savings 34m in dead money then of course you have to add the 30+m for Dak if we signed him.

$24 mil for Wentz.  It's why the idea he makes too much for another team is wrong.   Like 22nd or so in the league and that is without Dak and others still going to get paid.

The cap hit is different than the pay. The new team not on the hook for any bonus already paid.  But with Dak. It will count new money vs the cap.  Really why Watson trade or Stafford etc..  nothing happening here.  Wentz, Hurts or rookie for 2021.

I am ok with either also. I just think Smith is more polished as a route runner and more "ready to go"

What if both WRs are off the board?

I don't. We need a LB yes. This will take more than 1 draft. Teams burn us deep, they have for many seasons. So first off we need to outscore them, that requires offense, then I shore up thye secondary. I DO take a lb this draft, but my main concern "now" is scoring points

Waddle is fine also. There are some nice ones in 2, not the top caliber ones, but still could help us. If that is the case I go CB or S first. My view is WR,CB,S the first 3 picks. I really want that top WR,but if they are gone, then any order

I'm in 2016 mode.   Basically we know the team has plenty of holes,  get the best players available now, then next year you can then be more focused on those holes.  Especially when you can be a player in free agency again.

Lmao how are you going to compare Smith to Djax using Djax small size as an example of success yet ignore that same small players tendencies to be injured. Idk I tend to look at pros and cons of all player I don’t just ignore them

Djax only missed a few games maybe 1,2 a year(see the stats chart?) he had one with the no names where he only played 9 games. Missing a game or 2 a year doesn't really hurt much considering the production you get when he DOES play

Sure,we just differ which holes we are filling first. If you remember the goal was to "get Wentz weapons" I just want to finish what we started

With Dak apparently gone I could see him in DUllaz

Trask reminds me some of Brady. I think the Pats GO THERE at 15. What do we do with Goedert? and who is our WR #1? (Reagor is a 2 at this point)

I’m not sure how ready Joe Douglas is to pull off a Megadeal. This is his offseason all the way.

Yeah,we have kicked all those scenarios around. Most hinges on what the Jets think about Darnold and how bad Wentz wants out (if he does). I would love to have pick 2 and 6 lol

Ham,love Pitts,he's a good one. But remember back when you wanted Reagor because we had no deep threats?. So we got him,if we DONT get that bookend threat, they will just DT Reagor and we are back to square 1. I am not forgetting there are round 2 and 3 WR's that COULD fill that bill. I really want to know what we do with Wentz and what picks we could get. It's just it would be hard for me to pass a Heisman winning WR. beating out a slew of QB's is NOT real easy to do and while it's "just an award" he must have been pretty good to beat out Lawrence. Give me the best WR

Goedert question is big. But we assume Ertz is gone. Then if you brought in an elite TE it would still make Goedert the second TE. But really keeping Goedert in the inline blocker TE role. I expect the new coach Siri is good at using two TE personnel. So this all works great. Then the question being do you feel the need to pay up Goedert for a new contract. Solves itself out at that point I’d say.

lol, you won't let this go my friend. As far as all I have read, we are stuck with Wentz unless he pays us back 20mill or more. That is not going to happen. I sure as heck would not give up that amount of cash in my pocket! So Wentz is gonna put 34 mil min against our cap. So we cannot afford to add any QB, let alone one that would be another 30 Mil! We would have nothing left for the rest of our roster!  Anyway, nice to dream I guess.... Let's move on bud.

IDK, I have mixed feelings here. All we ever do is dink and dunk, that has been our offense for awhile. IMO why get another dink and dunk player when we need that deep threat more(IMO). Pull that D and watch Goedert run amok(like Ertz used to do)

Getting that beast TE action of Pitts would counter the need for more from the outside receivers. But I’m open to bringing in a moderate FA WR. If went stud TE.

IDK depends how bad Wentz wants out(if he does). From what I have read he wants to play, but perhaps not HERE. So really it depends what other teams would pay for him. Both parties could agree to nullify his contract if he wants out bad enough or re-do it so it doesn't hurt as badly. if he sucks, then yeah we're gonna pay 34 mil to a BU next year. I'm playing my best QB, IDC what I am paying. Right now everything is on the table

True, there are some WR's to be had in 2,3 that could fill the bill as I said. Terrance Marshall would be one of those(Chase's teammate),but not having that 4th pick means you get EITHER a CB or S in 3 and sacrifice(once again) the other. We need to know too that our whiz TE developer(Peele) is now gone

I believe Jjaw was drafted for this role(fail)
