I don't see us taking Pitts or Parsons at 6. My guess is that it will be a WR, a CB, or we will trade back.

That being said. Parsons, Sewell and Pitts are probably the top three non QB best prospects. Parsons is the best LB prospect in years. Sewell and Pitts are apparently pretty much in the same class. So if we take one of them, I would not be heartbroken.

But I would rather see the team pick in the 9 to 15 range and get an extra third rounder than I would see them get a top TE or LB.

I think this draft needs to provide a starting corner, a starting safety, and a rotational edge rusher. If we could get those three, plus a solid RB/TE/WR for the offense in the first three rounds, I would be happy.

I could see getting a S in the second or third. I think it’s an important position for installing the new defense. Get your deep S for your DC that looks to really put a bunch on the S plate scheme wise.

But Rosie has acknowledged his demons with S. We’ve had great opportunities for S the last couple drafts.

Exactly.... as Rosie is lining up the Oline in this draft.

Off topic. I will be watching the America's cup race(12:30) AM on NBC sports(channel 220 in NC). The US boat was nearly destroyed 10 days ago(capsized). With the help of the international community AND even our own competitors, we are back in the game. The first race after repair is at 12:30 AM. This is what sports SHOULD BE. Perhaps we should try that HERE??? This is the semi finals, best of 7 races, win or go home. GO AMERICAN MAGIC!!!

But watching Bama and their Oline just maul people it’s hard not want something like that. Leatherwood was just terrorizing and annihilating people.

How about a starting #1 WR????

Pass catcher

OK off to play with Hams scenario for a bit

Ham,buddy, you could be on to something here lol. My issue is what to give up in round 2 CB or S(we need both)

1-Pitts   2-Samuel-CB 3 Toney-WR. Our new coach coached Trask, he would be all too familiar with BOTH Pitts and Toney and he would know how to use them both. I need to see how good Toney is

Slot guy, love his moves. This is what Jjaw was supposed to be. But we need an outside guy. He will be a nice add somewhere, but if we added Pitts,it would be a bit redundant IMO. I am biased towards FL,but putting that aside,I would look elsewhere. He WOULD be a nice fit with Hurts, Wentz not so much

Round 3 (if we waited) This guy is like Alshon, will climb the ladder. Tough to bring down @215 lbs. Good YAC. He opted out of the 2020 season

Djax only missed a few games maybe 1,2 a year(see the stats chart?) he

Sure,we just differ which holes we are filling first. If you remember the goal was to "get Wentz weapons" I just want to finish what we started

Yeah..  I'm not worried about the order,  just that we fill the most that we can this offseason,  which the method will be draft.  So we can't miss on picks by forcing position. This is the issue with the WR spot lately, don't you think?  You ask if Reagor was the best WR last year at 21... I ask if he was the best player. To me it's the bigger issue.

This year,  I want the best player each time, regardless of position.  Order of holes filled is irrelevant to me.

Just saying the consensus seems like Parsons pitts might easily be the best PLAYERS at 6 yet we don’t want to take them for a lesser player. Idk we could use either and they likely contribute right away don’t over think it take the best player at 6

Also just to add Pitts is listed as a TE but let’s just say he is a pass catcher. We have a coach that seems to favor larger slot players.

keep Geodart inline use Pitt slotted outside.

If we see Pitt as a 1000+yard pass catcher is the fact he is listed as a TE that important

Goedert question is big. But we assume Ertz is gone. Then if you brought in an elite TE it would still make Goedert the second TE. But really keeping Goedert in the inline blocker TE role. I expect the new coach Siri is good at using two TE personnel. So this all works great. Then the question being do you feel the need to pay up Goedert for a new contract. Solves itself out at that point I’d say.

If you don't pay Goedery then he leaves. And you just used a pick to replace a guy instead of filling a hole.    It's a risk.

I'm hoping we get a good blocking TE late or UDFA.  The use of 2 TEs was a waste with Ertz.  Gotta have 2 that can block so there is a mismatch vs nickel. There wasn't one with Ertz.

IDK depends how bad Wentz wants out(if he does). From what I have read he wants to play, but perhaps not HERE. So really it depends what other teams would pay for him. Both parties could agree to nullify his contract if he wants out bad enough or re-do it so it doesn't hurt as badly. if he sucks, then yeah we're gonna pay 34 mil to a BU next year. I'm playing my best QB, IDC what I am paying. Right now everything is on the table

If Wentz is out,  then Hurts or rookie. No money for any current starting QB.  Just can't do it.

Yeah, especially with a new staff we could go any number of directions. I just hope we have a PLAN

Well everyone has an opinion who that is lol

I would really have to consider a QB in round 1(with 2 round 1 picks), if we can finagle that for Wentz. Good QB class, even some UDFA choices so we can say goodbye to Suds

We need you Joe to tell us what the local BS is about Wentz playing here
