1.  Tampa added some weapons ... Gronk and Brown  ...and the RBs
2.  How is Tampa's OL playing lately?
3.  How is Tampa's defense playing lately?
4.  Did Brady not throw 3 INTs  (which was your issue with Winston)  ... 3 INTs, another gimme was dropped right before the half, and really the floater that Goodwin caught should have been picked too.

It's more than just a QB... otherwise Green Bay and Buffalo would be playing in the SB... the current guys have major supporting cast....slightly better than Travis Fulgham as the #1 producing WR ... and the OLs way better.

But Tampa built a team, not just added a QB or relied on their QB.  It's what we did in 2016-17... need to do it again.  Forget positions this offseason, just fill as many holes as we can... then finish the job next year after we see which holes we did or didn't fill this year.  Gotta hit these picks, regardless of position.

Sure but they had elite receivers already and nice RB. When they got Brady the push was on to "win now" Not really shocking. OL playing pretty well, opening holes for RB's, giving Brady time. Defense playing well which you said they were awful. Playing well enough to stay in games vs powerhouse offenses. Brady may have thrown 3 picks but not EVERY other game like Winston(or Wentz) I never said it was "just the QB",but that is the guy that runs your offense. We couldn't pick up Fournette? Brady pried Gronk out of retirement or he probably would have stayed retired. What changed? TB LISTENED to BRADY aka no ego trip and he(Brady) is hand in glove with Ariens. So, say what you want and obviously they added more after signing Brady, but the BIG improvement was at QB. Without adding those additional pieces maybe they don't get to the SB, but they still would contend, and BTW I don't hold "tipped" balls against the QB

I would be fine with this guys first 3 picks. Checked out Moerig, he would work here( have Samuel -CB on my mock, but a good S is worth more so maybe thats the way to roll)

In fact, I like his top 3 picks I will steal them lol. I had "similar" except for Moe. I had Cox at LB in an early mocker, and I think Ham nailed the Pitts choice. So as I keep saying, put us all in a room and we will come out with a great draft. Hear us Howie?

I had CB in 2, but adding Moe and a LB would really help us in the middle of the field on D. I will still grab a WR, a pass rusher and a RB

Not really, if you look at it they still missed on a bunch... ie. how do you like the 2017 draft?     you want to know the difference.

I don't like the 2017 draft. Howie has done a bad job in the draft but in 2016 and 2017 he was able to counter that by hitting on pretty much every FA move.

I think I’d still favor CB in two over a S. But i also have us going after Hooker in FA we have McLeod and im pretty high on Wallace that we drafted last year.

Also really like Maddox as a deep S not sure we will use him there though so not counting him into my equation lol

IDk how much loot we will have in FA. Won't be much

I mean most of this I called before hand when Brady signed hence why I called them SB contender way back the.
I mean not hard to realize that the way brady plays aids the OL he is definitely part of the reason they are playing better.

Defense you could see last year they had the pieces to take the next step. Had a strong pass rusher and young CBs. Not turning the ball over at a massively high rate also aided them something again Brady helped with.

RB- Fournette was a nice add in name I guess but the big piece here was Jones stepping up again something that was starting to take place last year for them.

But the Tampa team that is playing now is not the same team ... " where it was easy to call"   They didn't play that great all season did they?   Lets not act like they did?

Gronk and his blocking have been HUGE ...
Fournette has solidified the run game in the playoffs
Their CB gets away with holding similar to NE guys did ... the non holding call on the lone INT that Rodgers threw was a big swing
Their DL has stepped up taking advantage of other team's injuries on the OL... ie the GB All pro LT.
Brown was added afterwards

It's a lot... not just " easy to call"  because lately all the other stuff .....   and Brady threw 3 INTS... would be 48 if he did that over 16 games.... I get all the cliche's but lets be honest how things transpired.   Brady 3 INTs should have easily been 5.   It's not that simple.  And things didn't occur overnight.

Updated mock..............1-6- Pitts-TE-FL   2-38-Trevon Moehrig-S- TCU  3-70- Jabril Cox-LB-LSU  5-134- Rashad Weaver- Edge- Pitt 5-140- Trevon Grimes-WR - FL  6-165- Camryn Bynum-CB-Cal  7-198- Al blades-CB-Miami(Canes) yes 2 CB's maybe 1/2 can work out(NO RB but we can pick up a UDFA or get one in FA or use the 7 pick) I also would be happy with this mock and picking up Mack at RB per 93's suggestion

Tom Brady is now 3-1 when throwing 3 INTs in a playoff game.

It was easy to call lmao hence why I called it way back when they got Brady that he made them SB contenders...

TB has had one of the better Ds all year I said before the year started they were poised to take the next step from watching them last year you could see in how they were built and played last year.

OL said it before the year Brady helps them it isn’t hard to see he has done it his entire career.

Its easy to see that Brady helps with turnovers he doesn’t turn it over at a high rate.

Seeing that TB was a SB contender last year after Brady was an easy call Joe.

So my last mock, pick up  marlon Mack(our new coach should be fine with this lol) and add these UDFA's     TJ Vasher-WR-Texas tech  Demetrius Taylor-DL-App st.  Brady white-QB-Memphis   Rakeem Boyd-RB-Arkansas. Say goodbye to Suds

Here are some moves

March 2016 ... Signed Bradford , Matt Tobin, Leodis McKelvin,  ...3 misses  ....
                         McCloud = hit
                        Ron Brooks = miss
                        Brandon Brooks = hit
                        Chase Daniel = miss
                        Nigel Bradham -= hit
Nolan Carroll, Chris Givens,  Reuben Randle   ... 3 misses     March 2016 was  3 hits and 8 misses  ... not really " pretty much every move"

The rest of 2016 was a lot of misses... Steven Tulloch, DGB, etc.

2017 was successful in March... also some misses, and during the course of the offseason there were plenty of misses.

But the idea you see with these first moves and draft picks... you see a purpose to building a team.  Prioritizing needs with starters over backups.   I mean Goedert and Hargrave can play... no dispute, but they were investments in backups at the time.   Hargrave vs Diggs is the telling difference in philosophy I'm talking about.  more than just bad draft choices.

It was easy to call Brady throwing 3 INTs ... and should have been more... yet they would win?

Lmao your looking at the one game... Was GB a SB contender or pretender how about NO, KC....

Again yes it was really easy to see TB as a contender hence why I said way last year before the season TB going to be a legit SB contender

Senior bowl on,good last chance for us to see possible draftees play. I will be watching Toney especially

The reason Rivers had all day to throw... Indy has a quality NFL level OL.    The Eagles didn't.   Players matter.  The players on the Eagles offense were not quality NFL players at the start or middle of the 2020 season.  too much inexperience, questionable talent and surely not time to build chemistry.   I agree a coach matters... but give me the players.  Not s huge fan of Doug, but both he and Wentz suffered due to the lack of talent and the injuries that they had to work with.... it's why I actually agree with Lurie that Doug didn't deserve to get fired due to 2020... more so his idea didn't match what the front office had going forward.   Sirianni may match that... still need players or the success Wentz or anyone else has will be limited.

Well, we can't just hope they all stay healthy. Coach changing the game plan to allow the QB to stay vertical is part of it

So prior to Thanksgiving you were thinking Tampa was a legit contender?  You could easily foresee the major improvements in the defense, OL, running game all come about?  Kudos

I would add, ... I can foresee the injury to Fisher being a big issue as to why JPP and company can have a nice impact on the game.  Similar to the injury to the GB LT.   I also didn't foresee the injury to Michael Thomas effecting him that badly or Drew Brees regressing that much.   All factors as to why the Saints fizzled.

Also didn't see Winston being the best QB in the playoffs either.  He threw a TD every time he touched the ball...lol

Tell me Joe who was your SB contender at the start of the year easy question

Because yea TB was right there with GB and NO for me

Another young minority coach hired. Youngest coordinator in the league.

Btw, local article back on the " Sirianni is here for Wentz" idea.  I'm sure it will flip again soon with another hire... the local media is hilarious

You can go back and read if you like I stated the D wasnt as bad as you said or the stats suggested wasn’t hard to see. Wasn’t hard to see a team that generated a ton of pressure got after the QB and got put in a ton of bad spots. Why TB last year lost numerous games by 7 or less points.

Wasnt hard to see the ground game taking the next step when you watched Ronald Jones finish the season.

Wasnt hard to see Brady impact on the OLs he played with.

Joe you love to just make up reasons why you weren’t wrong but you were if I recall you said TB wasn’t even likely to make the playoffs

Saints, Green Bay, Seattle... KC.  I had Tampa who was 7-9... at 10-11 wins but behind the other teams.  Didn't see the Saints fizzle especially Thomas and Brees in the way they did.

I'm saying in late October you saw Tampa in the SB? Congrats... I didn't see it
