If we drafted Trask,that pretty much tells Wentz we're done right? Now if he wants to play somewhere,he is going to have to play WELL if he wants traded(similar to a contract year) Not next year you cap hit is alot less and you have 3 rook QB's and you also save Duds salary as he goes away too

He was  ROOKIE lmfao and we're paying out HUGE amounts to Wentz, of course he starts. So if he is a BU why are we even discussing a trade for Wentz?

1 pick is not going top stop you from rebuilding. I'm just planning to lose Wentz after this season and that sets it all up

Now you have 3 QB's all on rook contracts .That saves you 136 million(roughly) over 3-4 years. I can rebuild pretty well with that loot

Except for the fact Hurts is off his rookie deal in 3 years, Trask as 4 years and you have to wait what 2-3 years for that Wentz money to come off...by then you have to extend your QB that you drafted barely getting to it this rookie cap figure.

No because I wouldn’t draft a QB if Hurts worked out at least not high. Because I have my QB. But the assumption would be he isn’t the guy so I’d I had to I’d wait until next year to draft my guy.

So you draft another QB within that 3 years and so on,(that s QB factory). Anyway,I think the point is moot. I don't see Trask getting into round 2,but if he is there,I would have to consider it

What are you waiting for though? We did this same BS with Bradford. I'm just trying to change things.If you wait until next year and Wentz sucks and Hurts sucks, then you draft a rook THEN,what is the difference? All I am doing is giving them a year to learn the ropes. And if we traded Wentz next year,it's not 3 years to get that money off it ends THERE(with alot less cap hit). So you take less of a hit, you have 3 QB's on rook deals which frees up MEGA bucks for other positions. If they both pan out you have trade bait and you draft another QB and do it all again.( that's a QB factory) See,if we did this,we would have the loot to get guys like JJ Watt lol

This is " cocky Howie type move " pre and post 2016-17 when he actually looked to build,  not exchange pieces and prioritize backups.   Build the team now... get a QB if Wentz is out and you don't believe in Hurts, otherwise enough investment in one spot while others like LB, S and CB get ignored.

1.  Sudfeld is not under contract, if he came back it would be for same minimum,  you don't save squat. 

2. Hurts drafted round 2 was a money saving move for a backup... as those guys are 5 to 10 mil.  

3.  Wentz won't have a problem getting another job, the league doesn't overreact emotionally like many members of a fanbase.  # nationwide

4.  Instead of worrying about " sending a message " how about we get players that help make the team better... you know for the benefit of everyone else on the team.  Like the more responsible thing to focus on... the entire team, not just one player.

5.  The quote from WIP with Garappalo was a week ago.  All this soap opera stuff that you feed into has already been played out here.  " Wentz is the worst human being to walk the planet, already explored and talked about 24/7.  Nothing new.

But why would he want to play here when he will have better teammates elsewhere?   He got beat up playing for this organization that didn't give him squat for help.   Why would he be want to stay so badly.  Look at how he is the villain here.   No brainer to want to go to Indy with that squad and coach as compared to this situation here.  

Maybe you should focus in the organization making it an environment where players want to play here.  Because I agree with you in wanting that fron the player... but I believe it's the responsibility of the organization to make it that way. The Eagles need the old Wentz, he doesn't need the Eagles.

Don't understand about drafting bu's - you draft to improve the team. It's up to the team to coach and develop guys into starters. Between Howies' picks, lack of development and players going on to other teams and doing well, Howie and the coaches haven't been doing their jobs.

Just going by what "they"said. Joe if you have 3 QB's on rook deals you are NOT paying out 34 million a year like Wentz. That buys you 2-3 years of NOT paying out a huge amount to a QB. Eventually you will sign/pay the best guy, meantime you have 34 extra million a year to spend on whatever FA you need. Once you sign the "best guy" your search should continue for the next guy. That the problem, we sign a guy long term,then STOP for that duration,we should NOT,we should always keep looking for his replacement
