So picture a GRONK/ KELCE TE duo- indefensible In my view, the matchups would be a  nightmare for any team

As I said, there are good CB's later,S's not so much

I think htere are good players everywhere each draft... the issue is the perception prior to the draft... which is a crapshoot.  There was a good CB later when Sherman was drafted.  There was a good QB later when Brady was drafted.  Good OL the year Peters came out...etc.    Take the guy you feel is best.  Don' t force positions, we need EVERYTHING!!!!!

Yep,what we are arguing about is which unforced player do you take first lol

Another point I will make is,how many CB's have we either ruined or not been able to develop? I understand we have a new staff now and I hope that changes, but as of now I do not know. We seem to do ok with S's(IDK why this is???). So,my need to avoid taking a CB really high depends on this factor and as of now, noone has shown me that my pick wouldn't be wasted . I'm wondering if S is under the DC while the CB's are under the secondary coach? Thats the only explanation I can think of

WE do well at safety?    Developing the veterans who have had success elsewhere ... like Jenkins and McCloud.  Otherwise, I can list a bunch of S that we didn' t develop if you like?  Nate allen and the Temple kid come to mind right away.  .

Thorpe winner he is better that’s your opinion don’t try and force it on me. If you like him fine. My view is different think Cb is the better value which.. hell even like Pitts and you fighting cuz I prefer Parsons over him well you have to finish the O puzzle we start that you view why do I have to see it the same I’m not against it just rather go different direction.

Your the one always looking to fight when someone doesn’t agree with you

Gonna be great when he wins in Indy and our fan bas completely look like idiots believing all the CNN type crap instead of seeing for their own eyes how bad our team was...around the QB.

He should have been more decisive like Hurts... worked out great.  Just throw the ball away when nobody is open... we still lose, but he has a better passer rating and people just see that it's not his fault.   Basically be Donovan McNabb air guitarist of 2009..." we showed our youth " pass the blame stuff.

How about,  he doesn't have to hold the ball too long because the WRs are good enough to get open?

He shouldn't be holding the ball too long. That led to turnovers! He's in his fifth year and we are still protecting him? I agree he wasn't working with a lot but be better, be smarter.

Exactly!

I don't really know why saying that gets some people so worked up. He should have been better.

Right... he should have lost Foles style... pathetic production,  yet better " rating"  it's what I'm saying.  Forfeit the plays.   Also similar to how Hurts didn't produce when he didn't use his legs for hero ball.  I agree.. if it was me, just throw it away without trying to make plays.   We still stink, let it be shown that it wasn't your fault.   Lose but lose so you don't get blame.

Right... he should have been less worse.   Worry about your own game and your own reputation and not try to win.   Better strategy PR wise.   I agree.

With Hurts, he was a better teammate... look how the production from all the WRs went up with Hurts.

A polished terd is still a terd...  get some jewelry in here and we can discuss how to polish that.  2017 style conversation.

Worst thing for a team is cancer in the locker room. Wentz really hasn't come out and stood his ground, and I really see no players standing up much in his "media" defense, so IDK what to think about that. After 50 days we got a Tweet to someone else. he has never YET addressed the fans and we got tired of the "we need to do better" pressers they have looped

14 O line combinations in 16 games shows lack of coaching awareness. I'm glad we changed that

Right.. so why do you hesitate to get rid of him... obviously he is holding the team back.  Let him go and move on.  We can enjoy watching him play for another team come January.  And we can have a nice locker room full of harmony.     Win win.  I don't get the need for people to want to have him here if you don't like him as a human being or as a QB?  Let him go.  We want everyone to have to want to play here for the Eagles?  Why?  You rip Howie, rip the coaching... but yet want all the players to want to play here?   You can bet Wentz doesn't want to be here with this crap of a roster, yet you want him to desire to be here?    Like the girl who you don't want to marry, yet you want her to want you?    Childish crap.

Which players addressed the fans after the season?

With the cap situation(once again) that is difficult to do

The QB is the team leader and he failed. I would think for 34 million dollars, the fans deserve to hear Wentz speak about the issues?. All the gear bought(alot on Ebay now lol). Instead of congratulating someone on an award FIRST, he should congratulate the fans for making it through Sir Lame-alot's pitiful season

No it's not.  You trade him and it's a slight cap savings.  If he sucks and Hurts is going to start anyway,  it the same. Why do you need him here. You play Hurts and go from there, a late round pick costs nothing or a UDFA... there is no cap situation preventing a trade.

Just that the front office would prefer not to let him go and perform well for another team. Childish crap.

The last starter for the Eagles was Hurts.  He is your team leader at the moment. If anyone should talk it's him. Personally I don't need to hear from anyone now. This is front office time to work. Coaching hires, contract restructures, trades ..etc  The players can talk when they report for workouts or anything 2021 starts.

Facts:

Wentz cap hit = $34,673, 536

Trade him,  cap hit $33,820,608

Cap savings $852,928... and the cancer is completely off the books for 2022 and beyond

Your idea of waiting a year.

Cap hit remains $34,673,536 ... but 2022 then receives a cap hit of $24,547,072.

This answer should be obvious... but which seems the one that is easier for our cap?

And before you say, he is more desirable for another team next year or any other BS like that... his salary for new team this year $25.4 mil, next year $22 mil.   Not an issue for teams that need a QB and have cap space.  You trade him this year, better for all involved, which the only thing we should be worried about is the Eagles.

The front office can't admit they were wrong, if they let him go and he plays well ... big egg on the face. This is the issue, nothing else that you are trying to incorrectly come up with regarding salary cap.

New coach added...CB cosch from Houston U, dude also has background in fitness and training.

Some interesting hires in the secondary.  Guys with scouting and fitness backgrounds.  Young coaches and 5 minorities added to the staff. Certainly not a boring mix.
