The last starter for the Eagles was Hurts.  He is your team leader at the moment. If anyone should talk it's him. Personally I don't need to hear from anyone now. This is front office time to work. Coaching hires, contract restructures, trades ..etc  The players can talk when they report for workouts or anything 2021 starts.

Did Hurts earn 34 million bucks? 12/16 games was Wentz? Not sure we HAVE a team leader because noone is saying a word. Be nice to know where Wentz stands. Forget the media hype, just come out and tell us if you want to be the Philly QB or if you want traded. Is that TOO MUCH to ask after all the fan support over 5 years?

We needed an injection of youth to this aging team. I just wasn’t thinking it was going to happen with the coaches.

What does his silence tell you?   Why would he want to stay?  Don't you think the answer is obvious?

Whatever each side is doing, it doesn't help either of them to show their hand. I take it there's a QB competition just as at every other position until we hear otherwise. Haven't heard anything, so be it. The rest is just smoke, the drama that there's way too much of but some seem to need.

Curious what this Valai is going to do having had his own sports performance center. Feel he's here for the CB's, maybe he can train to avoid injuries.

For me it is, or I would not have suggested taking another QB in this draft, and how all this stuff got rolling lol. I'm just thinking of the thousands of kids who consider Wentz their hero. We are teaching kids that it's ok to not come forward and state your intentions, just sit back and let the TMZ drama happen. I guess I am "old school". Ask me anything and you will get a straight answer. You my not like the answer, but you'll have one and I'm tired of "guessing", "assuming" or what have you. Watson came out and said he wanted traded, Stafford said he wanted traded, Wentz can do the same, if he WANTED to. I think it's BS that fans tolerate this crap. I suppose he is silent waiting for the #11 Eagles jerseys to run out of stock

Silence is golden.  Teach kids if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.  Old school is that thought.  Now you hate Wentz so much that being a crybaby and demanding a trade is better than being quiet?    WTF kind of old school is that?   You respect Watson for demanding to pick his GM and coach... that kind of old school?  Yet Wentz can't change a play at the line if he doesn't like it because he is too controlling?  Watson is a QB, not a GM.  That is what you want to teach kids, that the player runs the whole team?    I think its BS that fans tolerate the players trying to run the league.  Shut up and play.  Respect for the guy who doesn't want to get involved in the soap opera.   Besides, you keep thinking Wentz is in control of anything. Lurie and Howie are in control.  They need to do a fine dance of trashing Wentz on the way out so they avoid blame of getting rid of him, while trying to get as much as possible in a trade.  If anything, Wentz saying nothing helps them on both counts. Which helps you as a fan if getting back the max in a trade is your goal.

Yeah, looks classy to them if he pulls a Watson and starts trashing the organization publicly.  That would be awesome for them to see from their hero about their favorite team.  The kids don't get enough of that with politics and everything else going on in the world, it only benefits them to have their hero trash talk their favorite team.  Buy the Hurts jersey, it's running QB time again in Philly!

Why does he have to trash the organisation? Why can't he just say enough that leaves things open ended or commits to the team? Or says he wants to move on and seek a new challenge without trashing the team? There is a middle ground here you know.

LOL... .Really?   This has you all fired up ... what gets put after a hashtag... so you know all of these guys are getting paid.   I can go on there and #nationwide ad and get paid?

The possibility of Wentz making $50 is that important to you as compared to what Rodney McCloud does?     you don't see a problem with this type of mentality?  Why society today is the way it is... because people look at #  ...instead of the message and the endless work that the player, his wife and their foundation do for the community.  Due to one # it changes everything for you?    For all of these players in addition to Wentz... you are done with them all now, due to them trying to get extra exposure for their teammates?

I believe only players sponsored by Nationwide get paid. You would have to look it up. As for Wentz owing nothing to the fans: You do know that Wentz gets 50% of jersey revenue, right? So if the NFL makes $100 on each jersey sold, Wentz gets $50. OK so let's be conservative and say they only make $50 per jersey. Wentz was #1 in sales in 2017 and I would imagine at least 100,000 were sold total. So, Wentz made a minimum of $2,500,000 on jersey sales made by the fans. So please explain why he owes the fans nothing?

Look, I understand Wentz and Pederson had issues. But he created allot of this on his own it seems. we all watched the games and saw his play. We all know he underperformed, despite of the time he had to throw. One thing I wanted to point out was the Eagles had one of the best yards per rush in the league. So the O-Line couldn't have been all that bad all year. So maybe the issue is Pederson not calling enough runs to take some of the heat off? Maybe, but Wentz is not innocent of all the blame.

GBFL, Are you up to the Reddit scheme? I bought some AMC shares. Hopping it takes off. We will see. Nothing to lose lol

Maybe it just me but don’t think there is anything Wentz can say that going to change the perception of him. At this point only actions will change anything and that can’t happen until camp at the earliest.

You might be right. We do not know what advice he is getting either BG93. It could be that his Reps are telling him what to do. Maybe they are feeding him bad advice...?

So it's 2021 now, not 2017.  Jersey sales mean nothing as far as what a player needs to do. But said player has done countless charity work since day 1.  Which is more important than spewing meaningless BS at the moment.  He already publicly stated he didn't play well, multiple times during the season

What you want is an apology for believing in him, and that he should have taken this crap team further.   What I'm saying is that anything he says would be fake in regards to wanting to stay in this dumpster fire.   And saying he wants out, hurts his trade value.   That's it. No emotion involved, just looking to get best trade value and don't need to hear an apology from him because he could have done better (as he said all year) within the crap that was around him.

Personally, I don't think Doug was a good offensive mind, he can call plays when other people do the game plan, but the offense was blah. So I don't want Wentz to lie. I think Howie messed up with player moves, so I don't need Wentz to lie about that either.  He doesn't need to apologize for his pay check, because QBs are getting paid more than him, those QBs didn't have the dumpster fire around them for 2 years.

If you play any sport, play in a band, work any job... why would you want to beg or apologize to try to stay in that situation if you don't like anything about it, and you could easily go somewhere else to have more success.  Especially when it seems nobody wants you there anyway, and you don't control things.

Hurts is your QB... move on now and wait to see how much we get in a trade. Let Howie do the final brutal move that will eventually get him fired. This is a good thing.

I am not asking for an apology. I only expect him to do what every other QB did. Say he expects to work harder and get ready for next year. No big deal. No apology, but at least let them know you are still here. Yes, he did allot for Charity. Good for him. As I stated above, maybe he just got bad advice. No idea.

It's not auto racing. Nationwide doesn't " sponsor " players.  It was one guy from all 32 teams putting together the work done from each team's nominee.  The # ad was done after the voting. It is a way to get them all in one spot. For people to see it's more than just one guy or a few nominees doing the community work.   I doubt the guys do it for the $, whatever little it would be. Especially a guy who is big on charity work...ie. softball game, food truck, trips to Haiti etc.   If anything he took his time out to give a shout out to a teammate,  if not him another Eagle would have had to do it.  I think we nitpick now on this dumb stuff.

Bad advice for what?

for not saying anything at all. Being the only QB to walk out after the last game without a word to anyone. Not even a tweet. Maybe his Reps told him to do that> I have no clue. As you said, it is done so let's move on. I just feel he could have done better. You think it is OK. Fine. Next subject.....

So you know for a fact, every other QB came out and talked and said they want to come back and work harder ( specifically for the team they just played on?)  Stafford, Watson, Goff... and all the rest all came out and said that?  These guys sell jerseys man, they better get to it.

No I did not say that. I said every other QB talked to the press. What Watson did was worse than Wentz IMO.

I didn't know EVERY QB talked to the press?  Including backups like Wentz?

Btw, why can't a person accept some of the blame... as he did all season. And still want out of this dumpster fire.  What benefit does it give us as fans that he says that publicly and lowers his trade value.
