Well, Reid and Pederson were not all that great on the podium either. I will take the wait and see attitude for Siri. I could care less how he handles the press if he coaches the players well. Get them to perform better as the season goes regardless of records....

Yeah give him time and he will learn to "work it" lol. He can learn alot by listening to the looped "we need to do better" pressers HAHA

Washington supposedly offered more immediate help for Stafford’s services. Very interesting to speculate who these players were they offered.

Gonna be "weird" seeing Matt in a Rams jersey (still getting used to Brady in a Bucs jersey)

I will be pulling for the Bucs, but think KC wins it. I think it will be a good game that comes down to a play or 2. Won some taking the spread last game, will probably do that again EZ come, EZ go

Gotta root AR and the Chiefs. Just feels like the exact right enemy for him with the Bucs and Brady. A bit of redemption served up on them in this one.

He’s stuttering through cliches....pressers with him are going to be rough. Just hoping he can connect with the players more than the media and fans. Heck, maybe he’s just perfect for this media... they might take it easy feeling like a wolf outside the piggies house of straw.

Well, Philly is not an easy city to coach in. We are heartless  lol

This whole thing comes off as Lurie and Rosie are driving this thing off the cliff. They forced coaching hires on our SB winning coach but let Siri choose his own. Have the Franchise QB going over the HC head all the time. Fired our HC after the most freakish season in NFL history. Did all this for sake of a QB that hasn’t even welcomed the new coach aboard. Went from GM of the year to every contract he touches is the worst move. I mean is their a big money contract we could trust him to sign right now? It’s the kiss of death.

Malcom Jenkins comes out and said they coddled Wentz. Feel like that all starts from the FO. Felt like Pedey just needed the power/authority to be in charge. If the buck stopped there Wentz could have possibly been coached. Can’t blame Pederson but so much if they are cutting him off at the knees.

LOL easy? In Philly? They(the media) are already hammering the poor guy

I never ever said this!!! You can't come to a mic and say, "due to MY issues and lack of performance, I think it' best for the fans and organization if we went our separate ways" Now how is that "trashing" the org????

It's lowering the trade value, which is bad for the fans.

They still bring up the throwing snowballs at Santa lmao

Should be more of a middle finger.

Right .. you as an Eagles fan,  especially one whose favorite past time is doing mock drafts, should prefer getting the better pick in the trade. So you should be happy with silence.

But it's not him...he is a cancer. Gotta get out the cancer...go all in with that idea and supporting Hurts.. the guy everyone loves.

An interesting Carson Wentz discussion in this podcast.

What does the Goff / Stafford trade mean for Carson Wentz? | Eagle Eye | NBC Sports Philadelphia - YouTube

There seems to be two issues.

1. Does Carson Wentz want to be here.

2. What is his trade value.

They said his trade value is probably a second round pick. As far as whether or not he wants to be here, I think it doesn't really matter. He's getting paid, so if he cashes the check, he can suit up.

To me, the biggest impact of the Stafford deal is that it has reset the trade market for qbs. Stafford had eerily similar numbers this past season to Carson in 2019. So their trade value should be similar if Carson can simply get back to that level, which seems somewhat likely.

So if I was running the team, I would go into next season with the mindset that I need to get Carson back to his 2019 form. I would start by using the top pick on an offensive weapon. I haven't advocated this previously, but there is a pretty good chance that if Wentz does regain his form, he could be worth two #1 draft picks after next season. So we should be doing everything we can to help him.

Then I would trade him after next season unless we make a deep run in the playoffs, collect the picks and build around Hurts, who will have two cheap years left.

Silence rr speaking has zero to do with a trade from a business standpoint. his numbers(or lack of) are on display already. Silence or speaking won't change them

I just want a coherent QB lol

If he ends up being worth 2 number 1 draft picks because he lit it up, why wouldn't you keep him? lol(and there's the rub). The Rams overpaid,so IDK if other teams would

Oh well, got an emergency DJ job(I told them he sucked lmao) so GTG get ready

I think that would be a great situation to be in. You can either trade him and roll with Hurts plus the draft picks, or keep him and try to win around him.

But I think the worst strategy is make him a backup, or trade him for a second round draft pick this year just because he wants out. If they keep him, go into the season with the mindset that he is the #1 guy, and draft a guy at #6 who will make him look better.

Siri’s presser was so bad....Lurie had to come out and put the fires out by assuring everyone about the extensive process they went through on the coaching search. That way we all clearly understood all the qualifications of our new HC.

WOW!

Not too worried about his qualifications. Some people don't handle speaking to a foreign (players vs media) group or being the center of attention too well. Which is fine by me as long as he gets our machine working again.

That’s what they call....a coordinator. HC’s job is to speak for the franchise. Or are we expecting Lurie to come out ahead of him to speak every time?

In time he should become more comfortable. Everyone has to start somewhere when moving up. Some transition better than others. Guess we'll see is my approach.
