No it's "because we don't draft LB's" Remember??? Thats a GIVEN,so write him off only for that reason

That comes down to economics and philosophy.

How often you see C drafted in the top ten?

IDK the reasons OSU QB's aren't successful. I really have no idea, but one leads them into the top spots every year, but I'm not using that excuse to ignore him, obviously you are

I’ve seen it almost every year. I’d be pissed if we drafted Fields at 6

OK take Wilson then. This could all be moot anyway,I was just trying to come up with a trade scenario lol

A scenario where Wentz is worth the two overall right now? Maybe we should go back to the easier discussion of an Ohio St blockbuster QB. More plausible.

Our LB coach has three years coaching experience as an assistant position coach. No way I’m putting that on his plate.

Yet has worked with and coached  two of better LBs in football. In Kendricks and Barr.

Gannon worked on Zimmer staff they know each other if a guy like Zimmer saying yea this guy got as my asst. LB coach is pretty good you should give him a chance I’d definitely think he is worth the shot.

Think people are way over value the exp. I mean we had 3 former DCs on our staff last year two the year before that and we couldn’t put together a competent secondary. Where was al that experience at work

All these former DC and couldn’t coach our players from biting on the same double moves numerous times a game.

Manuel only had one season here. Thought he did well considering. Burke had our Dline playing pretty elite!

Ken Flajole all that experience and what did he do??? Not giving him credit for Hicks or Bradham who both were already good players Hicks before he came in and Bradham when he played under Schwartz.
He was part of the group that let LJ Forte go,

He was highly supportive of Nate Gerry.

Guess he got Singleton whooo 1 LB in 5 years

Really thought he did well NRC was impressing you or Maddox who regressed or Slay who had a down year from Detroit.  Nothing about our CB play was pretty good was a disaster

LJ Fort is a different situation. Our brilliant GM was gathering every compensatory pick. Don’t think he wanted Fort playing and wrecking that.

Makes it even worse that our CBs were a disaster considering our DL which had Schwartz written all over it not puppet Burke who he handed the job to though never once in his entire NFL career coaching DL

Don’t get a comp pick for a player you release wrote the season. Love how you trying to pass that off on Howie to act like it wasn’t Schwartz  and Flajole saying yea let this guy go

Slay was very good other than two games against Adams  and Metcalf. Adams was the best receiver in the league last year. NRC sucked...didn’t hustle. LeBlanc injured all year. James injured all year. Yes, I think he got all you can out of Maddox on the outside...sadly. McLeod looked very good. Converted Millsvery well at S. Made Epps look like an actual NFL player. Got Jacquet to even make a play or two. Not bad with one year of internet coaching.

We didn’t give up nearly all the big plays last year. Manuel came in and stopped the bleeding for sure. Went from a massive head wound....to amputating a leg...but still.

Got Kendricks playing his best in our Super season. Great coach! Guy never really got anything to work with. Always made them serviceable.

Love the excuses made for Slay having a down year yes it was a down year for him , NRC who was bad, Leblanc was meh, he was part of the guys who let Jones and Douglas go who shined. James shouldn’t be kept over either.

As for the S we had an actual S coach I’d give more credit to in Hauck then Manuel. Who was actually getting high play from our S since 16

Nigel Bradham left here and did what last season? Flajole got the best out of him for sure

If he is such a great coach why wasn’t he able to develop guys. Stout was turning 6th 7th UDFA etc into serviceable players.

Flajole got lucky with Singleton

Stout was down to damn 10th string OL and we still had one of the best rush per attempts in the nfl. That a great coach.

Hicks, Bradham, Kendrick’s, Singleton, Edwards. I saw a bunch of development and great coaching there. Heck had Jenkins also.

  • Author

He got lucky turning a CFL guy into 120 tackling machine. Just random luck. Coach just ate Subway the whole time. Oh lord

You want Chips with that?

  • Author

Of coarse it was probably Flajole’s assistant that made Singleton so productive
