Another thing to consider: If your team does not have an elite QB, the only other way to get to the Big Game would be to have a dominate Defense.... Maybe we should consider fixing that first?

Not IMO. Don't care who your D stars are, they can't play 40 minutes every week because we are doing consistent 3 and outs. If you wanted to put up a big argument to get O line players I could back that, but our Oline STARTERS aren't all that bad, and if you remember the idea was to "get Wentz weapons". I'm finishing what we started and completing the offense and adding to defense(see my mock) We're not fixing all this with 1 draft. I have Pitts,Moehrig(S) and Cox(LB) Weaver(edge) as our first 4,then a WR I am struggling with the 3 pick because I am greedy and also want Gainwell at RB.Picking up another 3rd somehow would fix that for me lol

Fields did transfer from Georgia....

Yeah but we don;t take OSU QB's

1) Pitts(stud TE)  2) Moehrig(S)   3)Cox(LB)   5)Weaver(Edge)  5)Grimes(WR)  6)Bynum(CB)  7 Blades(CB)  FA-  Marlon Mack       UDFA- Vasher(WR) Taylor(DT) White(QB) Boyd(RB) if I get another 3 pick I add Gainwell at RB and before you bash my round 6,7 CB's check them both out. So Stine, 5/7 picks on defense should make you happy 😁 Pitts and Grimes sets up a nice receiving corps. Adding Mack shores up the running game(for now). If I can add Gainwell to all this I WILL. Of course this ALL goes into "the bin" if we are targeting a new QB

Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher on their podcast today said that it is almost a certainty that Wentz will be traded this offseason, and that a deal is coming in the next few weeks.

They said they have talked to sources at a few NFL teams who said that the Eagles will almost certainly get at least a #1 pick, and it could be more if a market develops for him. The Patriots, Colts, Bears and 49ers are the most likely landing spots.

Apparently Wentz is super upset about anonymous players criticizing him in the media, and he just wants out.

Caplan is pretty well sourced in NFL circles, so this is a legit report.

So, if we get a #1 and a #2 or 3... Then we can build up some areas, assuming we hold off at QB to see what Hurts has to offer.....

Yeah, awhile back I had said the Pats for their 15 and maybe a 3rd, 4th. Pats are not used to picking this high lol This is how the whole QB disaster/fiasco started on this thread, because I said I would trade Wentz to the Pats for their 15 and take Trask lol

It's tough to say what the team is thinking. At this point a squirrel crossing an eight lane highway has more direction than this team.

If you don’t have an elite QB you need a stellar D and a dominant rushing attack

If I get the 15 and a 3rd from the Pats.I take Pitts,Trask, Gainwell then the rest of my mock lol. Thats a HUGE chunk of "FIX" in one draft. If you like Mac Jones better than Trask, take him then

Would be great if the bidding war materializes. I really didn’t see us a getting a first round pick. Factor in a fourth for Ertz. Alright NC, your mission looks to be completely changing in the Mock World.

If Lurie flies me up and buys dinner I will show them my plan 🤣🤣

Nope,I just added it together

Use my mock I just posted, Add a Trask or Jones with the extra 1 pick and add Gainwell with the extra 3 pick-DONE. O guys are happy, D guys are happy,I am happy, this team is 75% fixed already(and I have not traded Ertz yet lol)

Now using my mock and the additions we are free to trade Ertz straight up for a true CB(I will still draft the guys I have)

See? There is madness to my method lol

Just checked no 3rd for the Pats, fairly early 4. May still be able to get Gainwell there,if not BPA or another RB, so I push the Pats for the 15 and their 4th. This leaves me free to trade Ertz for a CB

I was always kind of thinking Ertz equals a new RB

I just noticed the Clemson CB I thought maybe falls to our second round pick stayed in college.

I'm taking a S at 2 and trading Ertz for a vet CB and still drafting my round 6,7 CB's for later

Pitts, Farley, Moerhig, Cox would be pretty incredible

Moe wont fall to 3, he may even be tough to get at 38

Then you are putting all your eggs in Hurts basket. I would rather have a competition there

Also adding Brady White(Memphis QB) in UDFA(really he's no slouch either) gives you a nice set of 1,2,3 QB's ALL on rook deals. Bye Wentz, bye Suds. Let those 3 tee it up and see who hits the green first

Now you have 3 promising QB's all on rook salary for 3-4 years, you have pretty much completed the offense and REALLY shored up the defense. My plan works. If you wanted to snag more O line and D line(UDFA or a few FA's) you can do that NP

Reagor has a year in,Grimes is a nice bookend for him,we have adequate BU's at WR. You have 2 stud TE's, Sanders, Mack, Gainwell and Scott at RB, added a S and LB and if you traded Ertz also a decent CB Next year you target a top WR and more linemen. I see no downside to my plan. Requires the Pats co-operate though.
