Ok let’s go with your 16 which is stupid high and is false number. Of those 16 teams which ones would Watson be interested in going to doesn’t matter if all 16 teams are interested they aren’t part of the bidding war if Watson says no he isn’t going to them.

Reality is 10 teams at best and of those 10 teams likely all 3-5 will be serious bidders

If I’m the owner I don’t care much about his no trade clause. I’d make the best deal and tell him it’s this....or you stay...choose.

Only thing is...the East sucks. You give me the three or four studs we are mocking....get some guys back healthy...our young guys take another step forward? We could win the East.

I mean yeah they could because the East does suck but I mean... That just hurts us because this is a bad roster.

It Hurts  us you mean LOL I see your point but if we moved forward with Hurts and made the playoffs I think that would be a huge win and give some confidence to us and everyone across the league that Philly isn’t the train wreck they thought. Might actually have a FA want to come.

How do you sit and collect your money? Can’t do both.

He’d have to fake injury

Maybe I’m speculating to much and over thinking this. But if we trade Wentz boom he gone. Reports said big reason for Doug being fired was the direction he wanted to go especially at QB favoring Hurts over Wentz. Lurie of course stated to prefer Wentz.

If that is remotely true I can’t then image Lurie is ok going into the season with Hurts as the QB and I’d image we go QB high likely with our first pick wouldn’t shock me if we also tried to trade up to secure that pick. Packaging our 6th and the pick from Wentz to do so.

Yes,  This is why Howie will no longer be here soon enough.   The way he ruined the whole situation... paying for someone else to have a franchise QB, then using more premium picks at the position instead of building around what you already had.   No excuse now when it goes down in flames and the owner loses what he was looking for to represent the organization.   but at least the articles of Hurts donating some money to a family are coming out.  No mention at all the last year or so of all the charity work Wentz or any of the other players do .. except the Rodney McCloud stuff, which was then skipped over to talk about Wentz tweeting about it... lol.   The Eagles are a master of manipulating the news, never doubt that.

Not even in the slightest it not hard to see a team not offering up remotely as much if they already know the player doesn’t want to be there and won’t play for the team.

Will Watson still command a decent haul yea probably but nowhere near his worth.

What is his worth for leading a team to 4 wins ?   "  But if he has better teammates...etc "   you mean like the guy we are about to trade?

Ohhhh the list of screw ups by Rosie is sooo much longer. But his redemption could be at hand. If he could trade Wentz for an actual first round pick....that would be huge in this situation. Take that pick and the other great picks we have and walk away with some quality players. Have Hurts look legit. Those three things happen Rosie probably saved his job...actually gets boastful about it again actually!

They saying Wentz is getting minimum of a 1st if dealt is what the rumors are saying

Wentz was a running type QB that threw for less yards than Hurts in college. Running was almost the only thing Wentz did well this season.

Wentz is not a running QB... he is a QB that can move a little.  Not a guy who wants to rush 46 times in 4 games.   He is a pass first QB.   You need to call all different type of plays for Wentz than you do Hurts.  The sideways motion, running option for the QB stuff... you don't do that for Wentz.  Wentz is the guy who got Fulgham those 5 games... Hurts, isn't going to make your WRs better... similar to Baltimore or Miami with those QBS.   Arizona already had the studs there, Murray doesn't make them any better, they make him look less worse.

If we are going with this college type crap offense... Chip Kelly stuff ... then we should go all in like Baltimore.   I doubt it works come playoff time vs defenses that will go home if they let the QB beat them running, it hasn't yet... but lets go all in with it, and then fire Howie if it doesn;t work.    Or we draft another guy early, and look even more stupid.   Either way, this should finally send the message to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and be smartest guy in the room.  Do what the 2 teams playing this weekend are doing... once you get your QB, you make sure to put quality talent around him.   don't put him in position to fail like the last 2 years.  No QB factory BS either.  No winning the salary cap bowl ... no investing in backups while leaving other positions brutally inept.  Simply add to what you already have.

Absolutely ... why wouldn't he get at least pick 21 from Indy?    Is a LB or WR going to put them over the top without a QB?

Wentz ran a bunch in college. Kind of stunk throwing the ball this year and reverted to running. He is a mobile running QB. The RPOs weren’t nearly as good with Foles as having the ruining QB in Wentz run them. But forget all that. Your problem is a negative feeling about Hurts. Guy would have won the Heisman if you didn’t have Burrow break every college record the same year. Because Hurts is so fast you can’t see the passer in him. He’s a smart guy...not just an athlete. Can read the defense. I’d say he’s further along reading defenses than Wentz was at the same point. That’s saying quite a bit. I think Hurts was worth being a second round pick. It wasn’t some stretch. He’s a good QB. Maybe not quite the same ceiling as Wentz. But we’ve already witnessed the floor. Which to me looks like legit NFL QB.

Ham, when Wentz succeeds in Indy ... after Howie pays him????   Hurts will have to do more than just look " decent"   Why wouldn't we just add to Wentz, should be the obvious thing people see.  No excuse now for Hurts... Wentz year 2, we saw what he did right?   and so we can't use the " look what talent Wentz had to work with in 2017 excuse, because its the same one to use for what we should have done all along"    The picks he gets is irrelevant... it may quell the short term... which is what their PR team is doing (and you are eating it up) but I am talking results based... when has a team gotten rid of a 28 year old Franchise QB ... but actually paid him for the other team?   that's an absolute first... Hurts better play extremely well and make the team have success to get over that one.

You need to go back and watch Wentz and Hurts college film. Wentz is more of a running QB than you are allowing. In fact that was probably one of the biggest holdups in his game after injury...because he couldn’t quite run the same...and everybody wanted him to not get hit and injured...again.

Wentz in 2017 ran 64 times in 13 games that’s a far cry from a QB like Hurts who ran 63 times last year(46 times in his 4 starts)

Most Wentz ran in college was 138 times his JR year... Jalen Hurts was always above the 150 mark in rush attempts 191 as a freshman and 233 his last year with the Sooners.

I mean I kind of agree. Rosie really has been screwing up. I’ve been saying long before this season. Mostly the Jackson(2) FA signings I felt like we’re the step in the wrong direction. Not hindsight. Said it then and now. But he’s still here. That damage is done. The bar isn’t in the same place heading forward. The complaints, about Rosie, have been filled with bad draft choices. He could really have some great ammo to counter that with this draft. Right some of those wrongs do to speak.

PR team unfortunately doesn’t have to do much to paint Wentz the uncoachable Primma Donna. I just don’t see this fan base being all behind a guy like that. That’s why Wentz knows he needs out. You’re clearly forgetting the anonymous source reports. Your forgetting the team paid Wentz a boatload...after that.

But us now being completely capped out old and screwed isn’t the same situation Wentz had year two. Sounds like you tried to use that broad brush...which ain’t flying!

I would compare more to 2016

Ham, I don't care about college.  It's about pro football and what the player can do in the NFL.  Wentz was not a run first QB.... Hurts ran 63 times ... Wentz 56....  wentz threw 437 times, Hurts 148.

One guys throws 8 times more than he runs..... the other guy throws less than 2.5 times as much as he runs.    One guy was 7 for 20 passing and the whole country was wondering why we took him out vs Washington... because without running, he isn't anything special.    The other guy hold the franchise record for TD passes in a season... and another record last year for passing for 4000 yards.

If you don't see that its completely different, I don't know what to tell you.

Charlie Ward won the Heismen... it's pee wee football to me.  Men play on sundays.

So he was put in for running plays. We obviously aren’t counting that part when Wentz was the starter, fair? I think obviously. But now why was his running ability so useful last season as the starting QB? I’ll give you hint: terrible Oline. Running isn’t the goal. Guy was running for his life is what I saw. He’s great at it. But he also threw for over 330 yards in two of those four starts. The third start being vs the best defense in the league. The fourth being the Tank game. Throwing over 300 yards in two of your three starts I wouldn’t qualify as a gimmick running QB.

The NFL ball where Hurts was playing behind a terrible Oline and threw for over 330 yards twice out of three starts? The one he didn’t vs the best D in the league? Yep definitely saw that.

2016   ... Wentz threw 607 passes   ... he ran 46 times.     46 times is less than 3 per game... which includes QB sneaks and kneel downs.    607 passes is just under 38 passes per game.

So a QB passing 38 times... and running 3 ... is not a running QB to me

Hurts.... 63 times... in just a little over 4.5 games... is a running QB.  Almost 15 rushes per game.

Lmao 300 yards in the blowout in Dallas and the no D game of AZ.... 169 vs the best D in football.... Also have his runs were designed so bogus on the running for his life excuse

So your belief is our Oline was great and he didn’t have to run for his life? You were watching a different team than I was. The main reason he needed to be inserted was because the Oline was terrible.

Dallas was the best defense in the league?   The 3rd start?   I've seen a couple of screens where the oppoent didn't tackle or left Reagor Wide open... and one bomb to DeSean...

Again... you and Howie are all in for Hurts... i think Wentz is better.    WE shall see.   I will back you up 100% ... for your usual  " When I called it"  routine ... if Hurts steps up as a better QB than Wentz.
