Most Wentz ran in college was 138 times his JR year... Jalen Hurts was always above the 150 mark in rush attempts 191 as a freshman and 233 his last year with the Sooners.

Yet Hurts still passed for more yards....hmmmmm

So your belief is our Oline was great and he didn’t have to run for his life? You were watching a different team than I was. The main reason he needed to be inserted was because the Oline was terrible.

I agree with Bot of you guys.... our QBS were running for their lives

Dallas was the best defense in the league?   The 3rd start?   I've seen a couple of screens where the oppoent didn't tackle or left Reagor Wide open... and one bomb to DeSean...

Again... you and Howie are all in for Hurts... i think Wentz is better.    WE shall see.   I will back you up 100% ... for your usual  " When I called it"  routine ... if Hurts steps up as a better QB than Wentz.

I said Wentz has a higher ceiling. But Wentz doesn’t want to be here. You could see clear as day the way the players responded when the backup came in since he’s been here. Heck I think Pedersons stats were even better with the backup than Wentz. But you kiss what made the SB happen for us. The intangibles. Wentz is missing too much there.

OL was poor sure but he had plenty of time on lots of the throws I watched him miss wide open guys.. and I watched him do numerous designer runs.

If you can’t see the drastic play style differences between Wentz and Hurts play I can’t help you.

Now your mixing quotes. 2016 reference was about Rosie.

Didn't you say to compare 2016 Wentz ... the running QB before his injury?

Hurts is clearly much faster. Wentz is taller. I think both suffered from the Oline. I feel both got she’ll shocked from the onslaught of defenders. That lead to not staying in the pocket sometimes...as well as missing receivers. Some of those terrible moments came as a result....for both.

Wentz has a bigger arm

No I said comparing the team situations

Yup because having Ceedee lamb and one of the most best college coaches that just produced back to back 1st round picks and Heisman trophy winners didn’t play a massive role in that. Far cry from the guys Wentz was throwing to at NDSU

2016 Rosie situation vs 2021

Either way I’ll go on record and say Hurts won’t be our starter in 2021.

Uhm yes and no. Three straight Heismans if Hurts wins it. Great coaching. NDSt has won how many titles now in the last eight years or so?I’m not really giving a coaching advantage. Both top notch programs at their level. OK clearly a much bigger stage though.

Though to be fair to counter that he wasn't going up against good defenses or top future nfl players either. Just a very different situation all around.

I’m not comparing Hurts with the Eagles year two with Wentz and the Eagles year two. More comparable to 2016 when we were coming out of your boy Chipper.

How many teams asking for NDSU HC I don’t even know who he is. There is a massive difference between him and Riley come on now

2016Chipper had just finished screwing the team up and 2021 Rosie had just finished screwing the team up.

Probably one thing they have in common... Neither would have wanted to Eagles HC job.

So ... tell me which year we scored more points per game with our backup QB than we did with Wentz
you are saying it was intangibles that won the SB... so Wentz would have not won it

The players liked playing for Hurts... yet none of them produced more... except Alshon... he had 1 catch per game with Hurts vs 0 with Wentz.

Pederson... congrats for having better stats... except the better stats were on defense.  Look at the fumbles the opponents had while the backups were in there.

But lets be honest... the idea is to win a SB... we had one team that was good enough to do it.   and stop with the talent doesn't matter its chemistry... yeah, Tampa and KC are all chemistry , it's why they beat Green Bay and Buffalo who lacked chemistry?????/       When we had that team, the QB was elite, and we were winning easy.  The 3 games to me that matter,,,, at Carolina on a Thursday without Lane, we still put up points.   At LA when he gets hurt 3rd Q... put up huge points.... home vs Denver who was a top defense heading into the game... 50 plus points.  Dominating style with the QB absolutely killing it.  best football vs top defenses with the OC and the QB being one step ahead mentally, no fluke big plays like that 2010 gimmick offense with Vick.  Red zone efficiency threw the roof and best vs the blitz by far.    I don't see Hurts playing like that at all, he is limited in the type of throws he can make.  He will run to much to prevent his WRs from getting into a rhythm and will makes OL problems that will come up vs good teams at the end.  He will get passes batted down at the line or miss guys coming across from being short.

The issue we have in sports today... Russell Wilson in football and Steph Curry in basketball.  Those are 2 unique players that can overcome physical deficiencies... special players.  Now we think we can easily find guys to play that style... I think a mistake.

What was Pedersons record with backups vs Wentz?

Pederson was 11-3 after the Saints victory....with the backup in

35-33-1 with Wentz as a starter

But your point is what about Wentz bringing more victories?

Talent isn’t everything. I never said you don’t need talent. I just said it isn’t everything.

I mean I kind of agree. Rosie really has been screwing up. I’ve been saying long before this season. Mostly the Jackson(2) FA signings I felt like we’re the step in the wrong direction. Not hindsight. Said it then and now. But he’s still here. That damage is done. The bar isn’t in the same place heading forward. The complaints, about Rosie, have been filled with bad draft choices. He could really have some great ammo to counter that with this draft. Right some of those wrongs do to speak.

PR team unfortunately doesn’t have to do much to paint Wentz the uncoachable Primma Donna. I just don’t see this fan base being all behind a guy like that. That’s why Wentz knows he needs out. You’re clearly forgetting the anonymous source reports. Your forgetting the team paid Wentz a boatload...after that.

You love the soap opera... It can't simple be that Wentz doesn;t want to go 3 years in a row playing for a bad team whose ceiling is win poor division and lose in playoffs.   He can go to Indy and play on a team that won 11 games wih Rivers.... where he could compete for real and get beat up less.    Why is that not so easy to see.  This is a bad job here... fits the running WB perfect because a bad team plays to that type of QBs strengths.  Expectations low, and we can focus on highlight plays or fantasy stats.

That possible but doubt Lurie/Howie will trade Wentz and not draft a QB in the top 10.

My guess as of right now BYU QB Wilson
