As far as the Wentz trade, I am seeing a lot of pretty bad offers floated out there, and at this point if they don't get a decent package, they should just keep him. He isn't going to be a distraction, and if he has a great preseason, we could pull a Bradford and trade him right before the season.

If Wentz really wanted to be traded, he could rework his deal. Until he is willing to do that, I would keep him.

Don’t see it. Got a new coach implanting a new system. You want to spend all that time on the QB that isn’t part of the plan?

We did that with Bradford/Wentz and won a super bowl the next season, so I would be fine with that.

So you think Wentz is welcoming of competing for the starting job...,anywhere?

Yes think there was a ton going on behind the scenes with all parties involved but don’t think Wentz will have an issue to compete

I think the media perception of what is happening is far different than the actual situation. As far as the Eagles, what would happen if they don't trade him? It's not like he is going to refuse to play.

Plus, he shouldn't want to get traded right now. Media in other cities are going nuts about the prospect of giving up anything for him. any situation he walks into is going to be way worse than what is happening here.

The only way that a Wentz trade makes sense is if he makes massive changes to his contract reducing our commitment to him and his new team's commitment to him. That means we can lower our asking price, and the new team won't be handed an albatross if he continues to be terrible.

Short of that, we should just keep him. The one credible offer I saw was to swap the Colts first with our second, plus a bunch of backups and a possible mid round pick in two years. That's just not very good. and i doubt anyone is doing a lot better than that.

Not the reports I’ve been reading. But everybody is playing the media game. Bringing in a new coach and him having to deal with a disgruntled QB into the season seems like a nightmare scenario to me. Truth is we gotta move him even if it’s just for a fourth round pick.

I think the Eagles should and will trade him for the right deal. But I don't see it being a huge deal if they don't trade him. Wentz isn't a nightmare scenario. The guy seems like a perfectly good teammate who isn't going to cause problems. He's not going to be Albert Haynesworth/Leveon Bell/Antonio Brown. If they don't trade him, he's going to show up, practice hard and, whether he starts or sits, is going to be a great teammate, just like he was last season. No one has said a bad word about he acted after being benched. So I don't see why next year would be any different.

Oh I disagree. He believes he’s a super star. Nothing would hit his ego harder than having to fight for the starting job. Hence the reports immediately coming out after he got benched that he wants to start or be traded. He earned that benching. I think pretty much everybody but Wentz believes that.

Bradford was the starter...not disgruntled ...or competing for a starting job.

What type of deal are you looking for lol... Everytbing I’ve seen is he is already getting you more then Bradford got us so minimum a 1st rounder.

He hasn’t been a great teammate. I’ve seen a team that everybody got extra juice or stepped up their play as soon as the backup came in. He didn’t want to admit to his shortcomings in film study. He killed the playcall before he left the huddle. Chose who he would....and wouldn’t throw to. You forgetting the anonymous reports going against Wentz? What about the reports coming out from Wentz once he was benched? I’m not saying he’s a terrible psycho that doesn’t work hard.

You hear the word anonymous report and it was Jeffery crying because he targeted Ertz one more time a game then Foles lol.

Also just going to ignore the fact that Wentz was consistently by Hurts said when he walked off the field talking with him watching the tablets in every game I seen. That isn’t a terrible teammate if he was that self centered he would have been sulking in the corner somewhere.

reports came Out he wanted to be traded if he was the backup and reports also came out that Doug at the time wanted Hurts going forward.

The most credible deal I saw was from the Colts, which was a swap of their first for our second, plus three backups. Chicago reportedly was slightly higher than that.

First off, I wouldn't give up any picks. Secondly, why trade for backups?

I would take a first and a third this year, or a first and a second next year. That would be my price for the Bears or Colts. First one to say yes gets him.

Not true but wouldn’t that be a nice haul

How can you disagree? Wentz was the starter. Got benched. Then immediately stated he wanted to be traded. That’s not a guy willing to compete. Willing to compete I assume means accepting the outcome of that competition...especially if he loses. He isn’t interested in that at all. He’s a megastar bigger than the team. He isn’t competing for the job.

Very visual situation. You know how you come out looking if you are just sulking. (No question mark because it isn’t a question)I didn’t say Wentz is stupid.

Easy A never came out of Wentz mouth was a reporter reporting with no confirmed source. B. The report stated he was not interested staying if he was the backup which makes sense. Why would he want to stay in Philly to be the backup QB.

Our 2021 second round pick is what? 38....trade with what are they? 22....not great. They have a good team. Been lacking a QB. So that 2022 first I would not expect to be very high. Playoff level first round pick at best.

That means he isn’t willing to compete. Willing to compete also means you’ll accept the outcome of loser. Thanks for making my point. You agree with me...just don’t know it yet.

No that means I’m not staying in Philly to be a backup lol that again never came out of his mouth.

What player doesn’t realize cameras are on them everywhere? I believe Wentz had a whole meeting with his agent and advisors of how to handle things. He played his role for the cameras so he doesn’t come off looking like a shmuck.

Once again his agent saying it. You see that as not the same. I see his camp saying anything as him saying it. He’s not dumb. Knows how the game(optics/media) is played. Has a whole company that’s job is to handle this stuff for him.

Ok let’s then talk about how numerous players came out i support of Wentz when he got benched not faulting him mmmmm the. Wentz is still out there helping Hurts right in his ear watching the tablet etc.

Lmao I believe all that stuff over some unconfirmed sources to make a story

Yet it was unconfirmed source of his camp said it why wasn’t it right out there mouths no it was so reporter saying oh I heard from Wentz camp.

It just isn't the kind of situation you'd want to build around? We have a whole new set of coaches and we are going to bring back a disgruntled player? Plus what kind of message does it send if he starts over Hurts?

Except these unconfirmed sources keep appearing throughout his career. I was pissed at Alshon and Nelly for those reports. But I wasn’t privy to everything going on. Now we are let in on the bigger picture of things. In hindsight we needed more of these anonymous reports. Maybe Wentz ego could have been put in check. Maybe the FO would realize their enabling was hindering progress being more important than placating their star.

The real question is how disgruntled is Wentz really??? Nobody knows all we know is the stuff the media is feeding us with no real confirmation.

As for Hurts I’ve stated don’t see him as our starting QB in 21 regardless of what happens with Wentz. Honestly wouldn’t shock me to see both Wentz and Hurts traded.

Wentz in the coming days then Hurts camp/preseason(if we have a preseason).
