Middle of the road would be great accomplishment for 2021.  My issue is I think 2022 and 2023 should be worse, due to losing the guys I mentioned.  Our 3 pro bowlers played well... to get us to 4 wins. Without them , it takes away and gains initially made if we can add to them.  I wouldn't put a 1st round pick QB in this environment.  Roster not good enough yet. I don't anticipate Hurts getting a 2nd contract here,  let him play a couple years and get the next QB then.  Let us get the roster turned over first,  and Hurts can't complain that we wasted a pick on QB, so no excuses.

Again Joe your missing the point completely biggest fear is being a middle of the road team for the long haul.
You said losing 4 guys don’t think Lane is going anywhere... Cox maybe... Kelce hurts... Brooks maybe.

I know you hate projecting players but we do have a ton of promising youngsters the OL as long as  aren’t losing 10 guys again should be fine and set for the future as well. isn’t my biggest concern this year will answer a lot more.

Cox doesn’t effect our offense hurts the D sure could make us lose more games but doesn’t alter my QB.

Guess the Bears cooled on things. FYI - Baldy said Wentz, Foles and Trubisky all have the same agent.

Then I have to take away the stats from tank game.... so those stats aren't really from 3 games.   Plus I don't think our guys were playing to lose... do you? Not for the first 3 quarters.  The regular OL was playing.. so for sure it should count.  You keep looking at yards like he was a good passer.  Less than 52% completion and he was throwing short most of the time.  Dump off passes where the defense lets them get yards isn't impressive to me.  Dude needs a ton of work and will need to play almost perfect due to lack of NFL arm talent.   Popularity among this pathetic roster doesn't do much for me. A lot of work to do for Hurts, especially in the passing department.

Sounds like you are describing Siri’s offense. Short passing game designed to create YAC. Let the playmakers..ugh....make plays. But we have speed to take some shots with Hurts also. Sounds like a fit between coach system and QB

I still wonder if Lurie set a price for Wentz to be traded. Seems as though Howie is the one in recent reports that wants him out the door preferring Hurts.

Lurie seems to be in favor of Wentz.

Wentz seems to be on good terms with both Lurie and even Siri.

With the fear of Hurts being handed the job think I’d rather see Wentz return and win the job in camp.

Yes think Wentz easily takes the #1 QB job over Hurts if it’s a head to head

Mailata, Goedert, Sanders, Dick Rod, DJax were out for Tankgame. Plenty of defensive stars didn’t suit up either. Quez had a rib injury in the week 16 game. Reagor suffered a concussion.

Wentz lost this team. Not sure there is a path back for him still. That would be a ton of work to get him back in with them. Not seeming like it would be a popular move in the locker room.

Wentz ego should be put in check....at least a little...considering nobody will even trade for him. Stafford had a third of the league involved. He isn’t some HOF guy. He’s also at the end of his career.

Lmao 😂 Sure called performing that simple winning quells a ton.
On top of that numerous player supported Wentz most of the leaders of the team. If Wentz lost anyone maybe some of the younger guys that don’t really matter

Ummmm except two-three teams have tried to get his services so teams want him and made offers I don’t think the compensation matters to Wentz it matters to the FO Ie Howie

Sure he has Kelce and Lane having his back. Those younger guys are called his starting skill position players.

But how do you see us mediocre.   Last place in our division is very probable  Do I think some of the old guys will remain...for sure, but play should dip too.

Guys could develop to not be as bad, you draft a QB first, lose the ability to take away a playmaker... which in turn helps keep the team worse. Sanders I expect to be gone after he finishes his 4 years,  I don't think he is that good anyway. Too many fundamental mistakes and not a guy who can carry a load.  Goedert nice player, not a game changer.  If you take the QB early, better chance of being worse. But then I feel you waste him.  Hurts, in reality... was not good,  typical Philly reaction to a back up.

Lurie will not be satisfied not making the playoffs for a while.  I get your fear, I just don't see us being that good.  Player development as you say... other teams in our division are due.  Same player development but they are already ahead. Plus Giants and Dallas have injured guys returning,  game changers.  Washington with mediocre QB play would be a couple games better.  We're in trouble for a while.

You think the guy with the supersized ego doesn’t think the compensation matters? Ughh....ok

Lmao the same way I seen TB as a SB contender it isn’t hard to see buddy.  I’d be happy if we were bad enough that in a couple years we can draft a QB high and Howie gets fired I just don’t see that as the outcome if we go with hurts.

I see us being that 8-8 to 10-6 teams basically Dallas with Jason Garrett

I don't think he cares like you seem to.  Just get out of this dumpster fire he has been around for the last couple years and go play football.

I agree he will not be the guy with this demographic of our locker room, especially the offensive skill position players who are around Hurts age and similar background.

Yea I don’t think he gives a F about the compensation. I think the guy with the supersized ego is sitting there licking his chops saying trade me and let me show you are stupid you are Howie

It’s killing Carson that he isn’t in the same ballpark as Stafford. I’m sure he thinks of himself as a top five QB. It will really sink in when Watson gets traded. He will bring in more than Stafford.

I also think Wentz would relish in returning and lighting it up so he can say yea this guy wanted to trade me. Make Howie look stupid

Basically think Wentz wants to make Howie look bad no matter what happens

So you don’t think Wentz cares what his value is league wide? I don’t agree at all.

Miles Sanders had his back, Gred Ward likely has his back. I’d image Fulgham stands by Wentz. Dallas Geodart.

At least 4/5ths the OL.

But that would happen if people were trying to trade for him. That compensation is his value league wide. He’s barely clocking in over Tate at the trade deadline at the end of his contract. That’s pathetic!

Wentz is the one that wants traded

Greg Ward, Jalen Reagor and Jalen Hurts played high school and college ball against each other in Texas. Long time friends.

Two 2nd rounders and some late picks that equal first round trade value.
Bear likely around the same.

yea again think Howie is wanting more so he can look like the smartest guy in the room but will back fire.

Wentz doesn’t care

Rosie didn’t want Wentz so bad he gave him a huge mega contract
