Here's the offer I would make the colts: 2021 #1, 2022 #2 and 4, Brisset and Mack, for Wentz and Ertz. What say you?? Now I understand Mack is a FA, but they still could re-sign him, so just avoiding that step here. If we're rolling with Hurts,we'll need a BU anyway, this alleviates that need at least for now(I still pick up UDFA Brady White) and we could take a late flyer on a QB like Ian Book. So our QB's would be Hurts,Bris,White and maybe Book. If Hurts fans,at least we have a BU  to struggle through the 2021 season while we rebuild and that 2022 #2 pick becomes relevant next year if we indeed need to look for a new QB

I think Carolina is tired of effing around with QB's. I see them making a move to 2/3 and I think the Fins would be thrilled to swap 1's and get more picks for "team Tua". At pick 8 the Fins are still looking at a guy like Waddle at WR for Tua, or take the solid #2 LOT to protect him and with the extra pick they can bolster the O line for him more,or add to the defense or even pick up a nice RB

Maybe it was the players that didn’t choose Wentz

Maybe....just maybe....He lost the team

I agree ... a backup level QB fits better with this dumpster fire of a roster.    Very astute point Ham!

Did you see players seem to have an extra pep in their game when the backup came in?

And I saw 4 halves of brutal offensive football... bad players with pep..  still bad players.

Minus the Saints game our team was dreadful that pep didn’t do anything lol.

Think we trying to oversell Hurts but don’t see it don’t see him as the answer. Still say sitting in the top 10 you gotta go QB get the next franchise guy Zach Wilson at 6

The Saints came in flat, let's be honest.   They ran out of time in that game, yet still a dropped pick 6 from taking the lead.

To your point.  The next franchise guy would be in Sam Darnold position.  ( but we disagree on how bad the roster is, if it were a 7-9 type team, then I would be with you investing in the QB to take the next step)  but for me, I'm all in with Howie,  Ham and Mr. Intangible with pep in the step... when the pep isn't enough, and the older guys recycle... I think best time to get that next franchise QB.   But again, due to the fact I see us drafting top 10 a couple more times in the near future.

Brissett is a free agent.

Plus , sign and trades don't work in the NFL.  " tag and trades do"  the reason is because the team doesn't want to sign a player ( with signing bonus) then have to pay that and count vs their cap...only to release the player.

Btw... Ertz is about 50% chance he gets released,  very minimal trade value now.  Not about his talent, just that teams know the Eagles have to release him, and they would rather sign him on their own terms.  One year left on his deal, he isn't a game changer enough for teams to give up anything substantial for just one year of guaranteed service.   If the team knows Ertz will sign with them long term, why would they trade for him instead of waiting for his release?  If he didn't have to come off the books before the league year starts,  maybe the Eagles would have leverage,  but they don't.

Wentz and Ertz played together some years,so thats a little bonus that might be enough to get them to deal

How?? He still keeps the guy responsible for this teams LACK of consistent players(resume- I got a crapload of money so I bought a football team to play with)

He has a bunch of new coaches to extend his coaching branch tree.

Keep him relevant even longer

Definitely not. I mean I guess if they aren't enamoured with Lawrence then possibly they listen to offers? But I don't see that being anywhere near enough.

There coach has always been enamored with Lawrence

Jags are going to listen to offers that’s just due diligence whether they take them seriously is another thing

The Jets are the one that I thought needed to trade back and get more picks. But now even Darnold seems to be on the block.

Like pruning a dying tree, you aren't re-foresting with it

I could see Carolina moving up to 2(or 3)

SOOOO, say there is no deal for Wentz, who starts?

Wentz will not be on the team by the time the season rolls around. They will trade him post June 1 for a 7th rounder if necessary.

Hurts is your QB now.   Who will be the kicker is more relevant.

Howie making up for missing out on last year's version of a J. Jefferson!

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-drafts/2021/consensus-mock-draft-2021     Here's a composite list based on 15 big boards. IDK when they update this(last was 13 hours ago) The 5 at the bottom would be considered "steals" at pick 38

I was against Pitts in the first but the more i read about him it looks like he could be used as a big WR.

If they draft a QB i'll be pissed.

According to the concensus BB my first 3 picks are on the money. They have Weaver going at 91, I have him at 134(because we have no 4th),so that pick may need to go away lol

Yeah match up nightmare

I was surprised the composite had Pitts ranked so low, so there had to be mocks ranking him past 15th and I don't see that at all. Could be some of these sites used in the composite have not updated in many moons. Some do 1,then let it go until after the combine

SO if I went by this composite,I would need to lose Weaver, but Rumph would/should be there. The rest of my mock is on the money. At WR Rodgers and Grimes should be there and I mentioned both at that spot. My preference is Rodgers. Either would work. Paddy Fisher is right on also. They have my RB ranked a bit low IMO(266),so that would be a value pick in round 7.So for now,I am happy with my mock and the fact is has been kind of "backed up". SO I will replaced Weaver for Rumph as our edge choice

A bit light as an Edge, but he uses that quickness. Could be a great pick up for us to rotate around and use him as a LB at times. Seems he has a nose for RB's lol

Welp your the complete opposite of me that is for sure I’ll be pissed if we don’t take a QB. Don’t believe in Hurts in the slightest
