Why were they shut down before the replacements/BU's were in place? Stupid AF. Germans freezing to death also(they are the green capital of the world) Betting it's nice and warm in China 🙄

Come on, you're a smart guy.

You know a certain administration was gonna put the coal industry out of business. We're now reaping the results of that policy

Amen to that.

Unfortunately nuclear power is one of the best and most efficient ways of generation. Small modular reactors may also be too.

Nuclear is safe and clean. But say the word nuclear and people think of Hiroshima

Power plants aren't something you can just fire up at a moments notice. It takes a number of days and is even worse if they haven't been in service for a long period of time.

Lets remember why they were shut down in the first place.

Yeah, a crock of political BS.

Chernobyl and Japan come to mind

That's OK.

I read an article that said Wentz is going to Chicago.

The next article was Watson going to Chicago.

They're gonna be QB rich aren't they?

Well its definitely been taken up a notch. Legacy media dying a very loud death, just as Dave Rubin predicted

Just talked to my Brother. He lives in Midland, TX. He is lucky his generator fired up after 3 years. The Green energy is working at 2.5%. All of the Wind Turbines are down due to frozen bearings. Solar panels are worthless as no sun in 5 days. So they have all of these coal power plants sitting there which they could fire up but are not. dumb!

Will say I’m lucky only lost power for couple hours in Abilene like 3 hours or so from Midland. Did have record amount of snow though 14.8 inches so something like that.

Did lose water for little over a day though because of power outages

Do the research on Chernobyl it was a one of a kind reactor that was made with graphite as the primary containment.  Also the accident happened at the end of the Soviet Union. Remember this was a government controlled facility and the government was in disarray.

As for Japan the accident was caused by a tsunami and even though the Japanese knew the facility was built too close to the ocean AND too low they did nothing about it.

As i said and will continue to say nuclear is safe. the biggest danger being possible terrorist activity.

Stay warm. The freeze is breaking somewhat here and they expect 50+ degree weather by next week.

We had a high of 4 degrees yesterday and 20 today.

Safe, until it isnt, then it wipes out thousands. If they knew it was too close why did they build it? These same people need to be on the Eagles staff!!!!(Bad idea but let's do it anyway!!!) 🤣. BTW if you go to the cooling ponds by Chernobyl you can catch all kinds of deformed freaky fish!! They need to design better containment before they build these is all I am saying. And I can't run my car off electrons

I will be a little bit outside of the coming storm. Still going to get rain and cold until Sunday night.

Glad you got through ok. Just pathetic our infrastructure in the richest country in the world is this bad. It's like a banana republic

Nuclear is currently the best option. Those facilities do require redundancy in safety systems. For example: sufficient backup power supply for the cooling system to conduct a safe shutdown if needed.

I remember reading an article that the Chernobyl plant was a completely different design (and a flawed one rejected here) than those in the US. I believe Japan was due to earthquake and tsunami IIRC. Don't build them on a fault line or near the shore and I think we're good to go.

Hooker and Mack would be cool. Can't say I would be thrilled with Tyrod. Don't see a need to pay WR's either since this is a deep draft class

My issue is countries with more lax standards. The Japan accident wrecked havoc on the Calif coast. The IEC needs to make sure all the protocols are followed including site selection.

Had a whole thing going - erased it. Just can't teach stupid. Can we please stick to football?

If you really want OT, why did women tennis players want equal pay - and get it - when they play best out of 3 and men play best out of 5?

We're talking about OT because of the storm affecting Texans(some on this board ) and soon to affect PA and more board members. Nothing to do with tennis

So respond to my football posts instead lol

Once there's really something to talk about. Right now it's all smoke and a waste of time. You know i'm usually pretty on with my mocks, but I wait until I know what the field is, no sense otherwise.

Took a listen to Jaws, he said what I felt all along - just maybe Wentz can repair things and stay. We all made mistakes, prolly big ones when we were that young - maybe he can repair them. Know I made mistakes, didn't cause me to leave or sell the company. Hired hundreds of people, only fired 3. Make mistakes and learn - that's wisdom. Keep making the same mistakes - that's Howie!

Well it's boring so we talk to keep each other awake

You need a woman dude - when they're not keeping you busy, you're solving their probs!

which teams have which positions worse than us.

OL- majority of the NFL we are better than and believe that even if we end up moving on from Lane/Brooks and Kelce retires.

TE- honestly SF/ KC/LV maybe honestly don’t think there are many TEs better then Geodart

DL- meh we are older sure but Cox is here, Sweat is coming into his own, Hargrave finally got it to click toward the end of the year. Minor but Ridgeway pretty good 3rd DT. Barnett  not worth the big bucks but good solid DE not sure there is a are 15 better DLs the  Hargrave/Sweat/Barnett trio add in old heads Cox/Graham definitely not and Ridgeway as a good backup.

RB- Miles/Scott get lot of hate but truly can’t think of 15 better duos in the nfl.

S- this depends McLeod is good and older but thought Mills was really good at S as well when he was just the S does he come back not sure plus extremely high on Wallace thought he was pretty good himself again can’t think of 15 teams better then us at S.

Of the positions I think we are likely lacking LB,WR and CB.

WR I truly see as poised to make a huge jump with the young guys

CB I expect to be better with them not being put on islands and 1 on 1s all game long like Schwartz

LB- well we always undervalued this position so yea.

QB- of course as i have stated from me saying I want to go QB at 6 if we traded Wentz

Better yet, which teams offer us the best value for any of our players? Assuming either Wentz, Ertz or the pkg - who can give us the best return? Somebody ( ahem ) got us into a cap mess. I still believe both can be great - not just good - players. Face it, we didn't help these guys out - we sucked.
