LOL so I scouted the Falcons board. With the piss poor deal we got for Wentz, they now want to peddle Ryan for 3-4 firsts lmfao

Say what? I am REALLY disappointed. I have no idea what everyone said behind the scenes, but there is NO FREAKING WAY I let Wentz out of the building for this deal. NO FREAKING WAY! Let me say it again.  NO FREAKING WAY! The OL was crap. Hurts is about as average as they get. Not the fastest mobile QB, DEFINITELY NOT the most accurate QB, doesn’t read the field particularly well....SO disappointing. So unless you have a plan up your sleeve for 2021, you are going to be a below average team. My emotions are high right now, but how did the owner sign off on THIS deal? Why?  With the OL in Indy, they will win the division with Wentz next year. The Eagles screwed up in a BIG way on this one. Time may prove me wrong, but I suspect Wentz will prove the Eagles wrong in a big way.

Wentz wanted out, to play for a team on the rise, not a group of old men in decline. IDK if the pre concussion Wentz would be back or the ineffective post concuss. I suppose Indy is willing to take that risk. That was the best(suck) deal we could get for him. Ate a big amount of cap too!! Wonderful(BS). But we may as well suck another year and get some damn players in here!! Apparently Lurie is "all in" on Howie(sadly)

The deal sucks...but can you really say you believe Wentz is The Guy?

I don't see "the guy" on the team OR in the draft

I'm glad i got to see a SB win because  at this rate it's not likely i'll ever see another one.

No, but I would not give up on him either. To collect what we did is going to come crashing down on us. Wentz did not play well, but it was not entirely his fault either. This whole mess started when we drafted a QB in round two instead of another starting player. Heck, Hindsight would be a Guard, but Chinn would have been much better also. Plus Wentz is not looking over his shoulder...

I think it goes back much further. To a SB victory he couldn’t deliver. A statue being built of his backup. Anonymous reports from teammates saying how he wasn’t a good teammate ...or leader.

Were they saying his in 2017,18,19 or just now because we had a bad season? Like bashing your ex lmao. If you knew they were crap, why were you with them for 5 years?

Cap reset base is 175 million, that will help some

Next question is where does Ertz land and for what??? I’d guess a mid round rounder 3rd for 4th....

Have to wonder if Eagles would try and use him as a chip to move up in the draft whether that is in 1st to get a QB or 2nd or 3rd round to move up for a guy.

The Eagles are slated to have four picks in the top 100 for the first time since 2013. They drafted Lane Johnson (No. 4), Zach Ertz (No. 35), Bennie Logan (No. 67) and Matt Barkley (No. 98).
(Also had 4 top 100 picks in 2012. Drafted F. Cox, M. Kendricks, V. Curry, N. Foles.)

I think it will happen quickly now that Wentz is gone.

I hope so.  But I don't think we end up with a 3rd or 4th - I think that is a bit optimistic.  Maybe a 5th ... more likely a 6th.  Teams know we are going to cut him, that we can't carry his cap hit.  They may make an offer of a late pick to avoid competing to sign him if he makes it to free agency.

It would come done to the market for Ertz really I mean they could wait for us to cut him but no guarantee you get him then.

if you trade for him you secure him and at a reasonable TE cost now.

It can't go down.

So a TE is worth more than a QB???

It could be reset from 180 back to 175,the 180 is a SUGGESTION that was(at this point) agreed to

I would be interested in picking up Tre Boston if Carolina releases him

Do you have a link for this? Because the story on NFL.com specifically stated:

"This agreement simply increases the minimum 2021 Salary Cap by $5 million per club, from $175 million to $180 million."

Yes it was "agreed to" it has not been voted on yet,so sue me for 5 million jebus you guys go out of your way to nitpick. Technically it is NOT in place yet the 175 is the BASE(as I said)

Not a big deal, but your understanding of what happened is incorrect. The cap hasn't been finalized, but it can't go below $180 million, which raised the floor by $5 million, from $175 million. Many insiders think it will be $185 million or $190 million. If it's $190 million, it would leave us around $36 million over the cap, accounting for the Wentz trade.
