I would have NP trading Ertz for Foles as a BU #2(he could even start the season if you wanted).; I would also take a UDFA QB like Book or White as the heir apparent #3 with upside' Duds never made it to #2

Him not playing in High School obviously goes against him gaining that experience. Being injured in college also. When comparing to a very experienced high school and college guy like Hurts especially. Hurts have the extra head start of a year of NFL experience also being a huge factor.

Mailiata- no HS experience,  no college experience, may be our starting LOT-aka What's behind me is not important

So if he beats Trask in camp, so be it. That's why we have camp. We were all resigned to "Hurts is our QB all in". I am just offering him some competition.Either way we  have a viable #1,#2 and I see no downside to that. If you draft a top QB he WILL start, I see no way around that either because Howie would look stupid sitting his #1 draft pick right? And you have immediately relegated Hurts to the BU role if you did that, so decide which scenario gives you the best chance although Hurts would also be a viable BU, but let him win the job outright instead of handing it to him like we did Wentz. Trask offers that and with much less risk.2 young guys going at it, winner gets the job

I haven’t been posting Trask highlights. Everybody knows where to find all those. His highlight reel is fantastic. No doubt there.

Well he isn't Lawrence or Fields or Wilson, they have had 2- 3 years of polish(as you said). You are getting a guy that could easliy be in that group with some effort and as you said that was begun in the Swamp and he would basically pick right up where he left off a few short months ago. I'm looking at how fast he was able to make his game better and believe me he's not done yet. I will play Pitts/Trask all day long.Pitts will make either QB better,I see zero downside in taking him first

So based on that reasoning/logic,those are my first 2 picks. Now I DONT want Hurts to feel we are trying to force him out by taking those 2. As I said Pitts will make either better. Whomever won the camp battle would be fine with me. At least I know he wasn't handed the job

6’5” 240 lbs.....everybody loves the tale of the tape

I'm picking up Book or White as a UDFA, if you want Ertz for Foles, bring it. That gives me Foles,Hurts/ Trask to work with while developing Book or White. Shouldn't take too long for either to become a #3 for us(and who knows what afterwards). You want  QB factory? let's get started lol

If Foles comes in on a trade Book/White to PS and no I am not handing the job to Foles either. If he earns the start he does

Johnson knows both QBs well. So a camp battle would be legit...and everybody would know that.

If we take one of the top six QBs this draft I’m not very interested in a Foles return. It would be all about developing those two young arms.

I thought about this a long time, thus my last mock. nice players everywhere and IMO a nice start to a rebuild. Not getting it all at once, but these players would all be helpful for us

Howie may be antsy yet on Hurts lack of experience. Understandable and getting Foles would be a nice CYA for Howie (and maybe us also) he was a good mentor for Wentz no???(besides losing Reich that 's the "other thing", that changed-no Foles)

If we don’t take one of the top six then I’d bring in Tyrod

Shorter mobile QB with a ton of experience for Hurts. Has experience with our OC.

Well like Joe said I don't want 5 QB's all with different styles. Find the style that fits this offense. This will be the most interesting draft I can remember lol

Yes, we know all that with the same crap O line and 4 games of experience lol Amazing how we expect a QB to be a pro bowler day 1,but we'll let the other positions slide with a pass HAHAHA jebus(Oh that WR, he only has a year in lmao). Reagor should bring 5 round 1 picks by now

I'm sure he will get better with an improved overall O. Just don't see him winning the big dance. I could be wrong. I would like to take a wait and see approach. Really would like to draft other pieces for the team.

Hurts is the only QB in NFL history to eclipse1,000 yards passing alongside 300 rushing yards during their first four career starts.

Getting work in with the QB guru you gotta like. Him having the receivers out to Houston to hang is an extra touch. You know? Working on his footwork and chemistry with his guys.

I agree with this sentiment. They shouldn't draft a QB unless they think the guy they are targeting is going to be elite. And I don't think there is anything about any of the qbs other than Lawrence that screams to me that they are going to be elite.

Mike Kaye on Twitter: "This column is about forcing a QB. If you think Wilson or Fields is a future top 10 guy go for it but if you’re simply selecting to upgrade Hurts, you’re not doing right by the long-term future imo." / Twitter

To me it comes down to, is the team better with Hurts+Chase/Smith/Pitts or Fields/Wilson/Lance? Or, in my ideal world, Hurts+Surtain+an additional third round pick.
