What do you mean? You can only work with what you are given

Same goes for players. you are limited by your coaches. Even with all the weapons, it will be interesting to see who made whom.

Stine, I watch NFL football ... otehr than the Eagles.  I play fantasy in 6 leagues ... I don't watch college.  I like NFL football.  Paying attention to the league is a great way to gauge what's going on and where the Eagles fit in.    I had Winston last year in a few leagues which worked out great for me... and I selected him for the  3 reasons I like to select QBs for fantasy.... 1.  Bad D, so will have to pass a lot.   2.  No run game ... so will have to pass a lot.    3.  Great weapons to pass the ball too.       That still exists for Brady now.

The idea that Winston was the big problem.   They won 7 games where he threw 9 picks ... including one game where he threw 1 and they still gave up 40 points.    He threw 16 of his picks in 4 of the losses.     So what about the other 5 losses.... here are his picks and the points Tampa's opponent scored

1  INT ... 32 points given up by D
0  INT .... 31 points ...
2 INT .... 27 points ...
0 INT .... 40 points ...
2 INT ... 28 points

6 games where he threw a combined 5 INTs.... half the games he threw ZERO .... Tampa D gave up 198 points.   33 per game.    Their D stinks!

Brady will absorb the 7 wins and the yards/ points ... those 4 games where Winston was the issue ... he will help.   Will they win 10 games ... probably.   Should they be instant favorites to win the SB, the NFC or even their division over the Saints.... I don't see it unless they improve their D and their running game.  Their pass O is already elite.  Clean up and win all the 4 games Winston cost them with the INTs... gets them to 11.  IDK... Suh, JPP ... a year older, not sure how it will work out.  Brady will be in a new system, I don't think anything is guaranteed that they will be maybe marginally better.

Yes, even Our D had bad games. You forget that he also fumbled in a couple of those losses.... I never said their defense was good. I am just saying it is not as bad as you think it is. There are other factors other than Interceptions (and Fumbles). Emotion plays a huge factor in games. Anyway, You can be sure that they play better with a steady QB taking care of the ball. Will they be a top 10 defense? I doubt it. They have a good chance to be in the middle of the pack though. Just because they take care of the ball better.

Tampa's D played less than most defenses in the league.  They stunk... no excuses for that.  In no way was their defense even just normally bad... they were awful.

If you deduct the 42 points Winston allowed via Pick-6's they were 9th worse scoring defense. So, if they improve a little they could be16th. Right where the Eagles were last year....

Adding a QB such as Brady should improve the Defense just because he won't turn the ball over so the average line of scrimmage for the opposing team won't be as bad. As I said, They were not a good Defense. But they can be average to just below average just with the addition of Brady...

42 points off pick 6s wonder anymore points where scored off just his Ints because D was stuck in a bad spot...How many Ints did Winston throw and the team was already in scoring position as long as they didn’t mess up they getting 3 points etc.

Though not saying Tampa D was great but so many factors come into play. Fairly young unit overall with a good pass rush I see the improving this year again

They have a good shot to end up in the middle of the pack is all I am saying. Heck any defense can say as much right now. Who knows about injuries and such.....?

SInce they got Gronk ,did they keep Brate? I would be interested in picking him up as TE3

Not really lol 😂 and the Tampa DL still pretty young   Barrett(27) entering prime, Gholston(28) Vita(25) Devin White(22)

The secondary for TB is all 23 and under so young

Really only old guys TB has is Suh(33) JPP(31) and David(30) all teams have some vets.

Really can say what you want I see the D taking a step forward along with the O for the team. I mean hell just not having a QB that throws 30ints will aid the drastically.

Honestly Joe think I’m the only one looking at Tampa without some preconceived ideas...Your ideas are set in place it seems that they suck and won’t improve which seems unrealistic to me but hey to each there own

Nope... I said they will have to improve their defense and running game... add to an already highly productive passing game.

Again... in my examples... there were the 4 games where his INTs were huge.  The D was poor for almost all the games.   Will the stats get better for the D... sure.... will the D itself improve the team record????? IDK   I think Brady can give them a few more wins... starting point was 7.    If they win 10 or 11 games... does that automatically put them as the best in the NFC or the SB favorite... or even the division?   I don't think so... and not that you or anyone on here said it... my point was that it is what a lot of people are saying.  Along with Dallas being so great due to drafting Lamb, a second round CB and a 4th round C... to replace Cobb, Jones and Frederick... plus losing the guys on the DL ... I just am pointing out that I'm not is a rush to put htose teams that high yet... there is a lot of work to do.  Those teams need to improve on things ... which is not a given.   Tampa will score a lot of points.... AGAIN... there D will dictate their record and how far they go.

Look, You can pick any games you like to look at and support your opinion. One of those games you point out Winston Fumbled. You also need to see who and where they were playing. We can go back and forth all day long and you will be dead set how you feel. That is Fine Joe. I can see how you feel that way. I just disagree. I think the Defense will not be in the top 10, but I also feel they will not be in the bottom 10 either.... Let's move on please.

I mean if the make the playoffs chances are just as good as any other team really....How often does the SB favorites make the SB(not counting NE led by Tom Brady in the AFC).

2017- we were definitely not the favorite to go

2018-19- I always heard the Saints as the favorite and maybe if not for some insane plays they should have went but the way things go.

I definitely see TB as more contenders then pretenders though but just my view

An avg. D and explosive offense you can go pretty far in this league does it mean TB going to the SB no but also doesn’t mean they are not either

Just like every other year and every other team injuries will tell the story. I think it was proven last year that the PS10 might be some of the most important roster decisions.

I for 1 am glad they reworked the medical and conditioning staff. There have been far too many soft tissue injuries the past couple of years.

And again... I didn't say they were going to be bad or good... right now they are coming off a year where they stunk.  They will need to improve in order to be the Superbowl favorite that a lot of experts have them being.  Brady and Gronk aren't enough.  Their passing game was already very productive.

I can see Tampa winning 10 or 11 games.  They improved their strength and were already a 7 win team.  I don't think it puts them as a favorite though.   Although, we never know what will happen in New Orleans now?

I like our Eagles chances just as much if not more than Tampa.  A graphic coming as to why.

Look at all these studs.  What is interesting to see is where DeSean and Sanders show in the rankings with limited number of games.

Plus I just like the speed element within this particular offense and playcalling.  Also like the QB playing with speed WRs.  There will be new elements within the offense.  Not sure we can say that with teams like Tampa or Dallas.

Well, I am not sure they will win more than 10 games either. They play against NO twice and Atlanta is no gimme either. I also feel the Eagles are a better team. Just because their defense plays better, it will not equate in a bunch more wins. It means the games should be contested and closer than previous years. Brady will be an improvement, but he is still 42 I think.... How will his arm hold up? Maybe they can run the Rock better? Who knows.....

Goodell SUCKS. Worst commish ever

Can someone explain to me the point of requiring social distancing in the locker room when they're gonna go out on the practice field amd knock heads?

Seems to me it's damn hard to block and tackle from 6 feet away.

Wont matter now-Goodell showed he will cave on his principles. He has lost control and the players know it

Hope everyone is doing well ... the normal slow time is even worse now.

It’s nice hearing about Wentz and the WRs getting some work in together in Houston....I know not that uncommon to hear about but think it is even more crucial in a year like this with teams being delayed by the COVID-19 no OTAs spring mini camps etc.

Losing Brooks is huge... already starting a man down ... the next injury puts you further in the hole now.  Time for these young kids to step up.
