I'll be surprised if they get more than 6 wins. Of course i haven't seen the schedule yet.

We WOULD BE DOING GOOD IF WE WENT .500 IN OUR DIVISION THIS YEAR. I personally feel more like 2-3 wins. Here are games I know we won't win; KC, SF, TB and NO. We may split the following: SD, Atlanta, LV Raiders and Detroit. So, how do we end up with more than 6 wins, let alone 8?

Did we just beat NO last year and isn’t Brees retiring NO is a toss up could be a pretty rough year for them

I've read somewhere that no team has improved their record by more than 2 games with over 20 mil dead cap to deal with. Eagles have a bunch more than that to deal with and you all are talking 8,9, 10 wins? That is some wishful thinking! Brooks, Johnson, Kelce, Graham, Cox, Curry, Jackson, McLeod and Slay are all a year older and over 30. Yet you all feel they will be healthy this year? WE have a rookie QB and no one knows what he will do. We have no proven WR, so where do you get the confidence they will be solid? Sanders is our only solid RB, but is injury prone. OK so how exactly do you think this team will improve by more than 1 game, let alone 4-6? Home Play-off game? WOW!

Also listened to a show ( Get Up? ) where they said no team has ever won a SB when 1 player was paid 15% of the cap or over - hint dullass

Sure, Last year was Hurts first game. No team had any tape on him, so he surprised a few. Now they do. NO will have a solid Defense no matter who is playing QB. We won't. They have many more weapons then we do. I am fairly certain we do not take anyone by surprise this year..... Week 1 when most everyone will be healthy is our best shot.

Hurts is good. The oline stays healthy. The young receivers improve. We get a legit #1 weapon at 6. The dline stays healthy. They add talent to the back seven through the draft/free agency.

The Dolphins went from 5-11 to 10-6 without doing anything special in a division that is a lot tougher than ours will be next year. All of this doom and gloom is somewhat misplaced. At least give the team a chance to be bad before burying them.

One big difference. Miami Dolphins had 119 mil cap space beginning of last year. We had over 44 mil of dead cap to deal with before this year started! So tell me; What team couldn't make a difference with 160 mill additional CAP space (which is the difference between the two) ???

Miami also had 3 first round picks last year and two second round picks.... Yet they did nothing special?

They have already released Van Noy, one of their big free agent signings. And Ereck Flowers was another one. And they acquired those extra picks by trading a pro bowl LT and pro bowl safety.

Tue was one of those first round picks, who was benched. The other was a corner who played 30 percent of the snaps. Their second round defensive tackle they drafted had zero sacks.

Arguably, the only group they improved through the draft was the oline. And I think we can all agree our oline will be better than last year's.

You were asking what did they do last year and I explained what they had to work with. Now I am asking what we have to work with as opposed to them?

Well it? Do you honestly feel it will stay healthy? Looking at the last 3 years is cause for concern. Johnson has not been able to stay on the field, They are looking to Trade Brooks. Kelce is a year older. Yes Maliata looks to improve and they do have Herbig that seems capable. But lose Johnson and you all of a sudden have no back ups. What happens if Kelce get injured? I have no faith they will stay intact this year for good reason. Their Defensive Line is also a concern. We may release Jackson, Cox and Graham are a year older as is Curry.

On offense, we are adding two all pro linemen in Brooks and Lane. We have a competent LT who could be scary good. Our QB will have more time working with his young wide receivers, who won't be hampered by having aging vets take snaps from them. We have a solid RB and a potential top 5 TE in Goedert.

On defense, we are going into the season with a top three defensive line. We have, at the very least, competent starters at LB (Singleton and Edwards) instead of a complete waste of space (Gerry.) It seems doubtful we will put Maddox at outside corner and just hope it all works out. Epps graded really highly last year in limited snaps. It would not be a miracle for him to turn into a decent starter.

If you really believe the team has no hope, fine. But I think you are letting your pessimism blind you.

San Fran had injuries. Dallas had injuries. Should they throw in the towel? Did you not watch Dak get his leg destroyed?

Injuries are a part of the game. We have ended up on the wrong side of them.

Oline is literally the least of our problems. Our backup line of Dillard, Opeta, Juriga, Herbig and Driscoll would not be the worst starting oline in the NFL by a wide margin.

I disagree with this honestly think we are poised to have a good D this year. Slay is still a really good CB get a running mate with him with actually helping them not leaving them on islands like Schwartz did should see a decent unit.

S- maybe I’m just over projecting Wallace but I really like what he can be. McLeod is still really good image we could see a signing like Hooker as well though.

DL should still be a good group

LB is the weak spot maybe one decent guy in Singleton.

The O line from the center to the right side is old and getting injury prone. I don't know how Kelce plays through his injuries,he's one tough SOB. Mailata has the potential to be very good. Seu and Herbig are very servicable as id Driscoll. The question mark is Dullard and what happens if Kelce really goes down.

I've seen nothing from Hurts either in the NFL or college that gives me optimism that he's ever gonna be ab NFL QB, although to be fair i thought the same thing about Dak coming out of Mississippi and he just broke the bank.

Driscoll seems capable though I still think he competes for RG if we trade Brooks. Dillard/Mailata battle could be huge as well if Dillard takes the LT spot Mailata is a capable swing T.  If we decided to move Dillard I come back to us going OT as a possibility at 6 getting a guy like Slater

OK, so why were we complaining last year our O-Line was terrible? If these back ups are so good

OK, I guess we will see. All I see is an older group that will not play as well as they did last year. You all are optimistic. I get it. I hope you are all right and I am wrong. I see way too many questions and you see all of the possible positive outcomes. 10-6 HERE We come!!!

So much is riding on him. If he's Dak, this franchise is in great shape. If he's not, we are in trouble.

We will see what the team thinks next month.

I think we are avg. at best don’t get me wrong and in for an even longer year if we go with Hurts but I don’t think the D falls off a cliff in 1 season. Honestly think that unit could be better depending how we change things up in the back end

Stine, I'm with you.   But I think in 2017 we had 30 mil of dead cap space.

Also,  vs the Saints,  they came out flat, had nothing to do with Hurts,  they didn't score a point in the first half,  not sure I saw Hurts play defense that day?  But point is, we don't know how teams will play us, like the Saints last year, they could play us flat, or maybe it's a trap game for them?

My big thing,  I think too many people on here have their heads up their you know what when it comes to our division.   Taking for granted it will be bad due to it being that way for so long.  Or their emotions get in the way.  But if you paid attention you can see where they have improved and how far ahead of us they are.   We see our injuries,  but not how their injuries have effected them or how their young guys have developed.

I can see 8 wins in 2021, I just see it going down as the older players leave after that.

Still think we go QB in the top 10. Every day oh you can let them compete if you draft a QB that high because of draft politics I say that’s bogus. Get your guy let him compete with Hurts secure yourself a QB.

I see 6-9 wins for Eagles in 21 which to me is probably the worst possible case especially if you go with Hurts then find out oh this guy isn’t the QB of the future.

You likely stuck in the middle of the draft not a great spot to get a new QB.

There is a legit argument for this. If you think a guy can be really good, you grab him.

You just can't be wrong. If you draft a guy at 6, he has to be Herbert and not Trubisky.

This is the gamble with every player in my opinion(especially in the top 10 of the draft) Maybe QB is the worst of it but if you draft an OL you want a Lane Johnson not Luke Jockel(I know I spelled that wrong) WR you want Calvin Johnson not Roy Williams.
