Yet we did draft a QB in the 2nd round to be a backup. 

Also if you knew something was up with Wentz why did we extend him??? Makes no sense and if you extend him then why do you then go out to draft a QB in the 2nd round doesn’t make sense. 
 

So yea drafting Hurts last year doesn’t make me think for a sec. they will pass on a QB this year

I'm all for competition, I'm just not relegating Hurts to a BU role without knowing what I have and there is zero way I know after 3.5 games with a crap team

If you wanted a QB at 6 this draft why not just keep Wentz???? Let them compete(as you said) We had another year on his contract,why let him go?????

Yea because Hurts has just signed a contract extension being told he is the franchise QB then not building the team around him.

Fact is we don’t have a QB we have a hopeful that should be in a competition with a real threat give me two QBs duking it out for the top job

#1 find me a QB top my list of that means drafting a guy and letting him compete with Hurts to makes sure I got one yes I’m 1000000%. Behind it.

It is far better then finding out Hurts isn’t the guy not having anyone else and hoping maybe we pick high enough next year to get a guy if there is even a guy worthy

How do you know we don't have a QB? 3.5 games with a suck team, no weapons, no running game no WR's, bonehead coaching decisions, with a different O line every week tells you all you need to know?

No QB drafted in the 1st round from 2009-2016 is playing for their original team. So I guess we need to jump to the podium at 6 and draft one!

COOL, so you now ADMIT that having a TEAM makes the QB better. so lets build a TEAM. Another QB for the slaughter accomplishes nothing except another broken QB and yet another wasted pick. if the team looks good with Hurts and is solid all year I will get my round 1 QB NEXT year. right now I am shooting for 7 wins and shoring up this team at as many positions as I possibly can(not at QB).
