GB, I doubt we sign either of these two. First, we have limited money to spend. Second, we want to give Hurts every chance to succeed so signing either one would indicate Hurts starts on the bench...

I'm hoping we DONT re-sign Duds. "OH he knows this team and he's cheap" and I would say "NO he sucks with any team" lol

I am not so sure. Every QB stunk Last year. It may not have been Suds, but the system. I remember a few years back he showed promise when I saw him. Anyway, if not him, maybe Flacco? He will be cheap and will not threaten Hurts. He also is a great teacher on the sidelines I heard.

Howie sure knows how to keep the drama going with his lack of drafting "expertise". SO was the Hurts pick on purpose? Did Howie already see the writing on the wall? We all wondered about that pick. Maybe had a reason?? Or was it just a cause of him lucking out? Without that Hurts pick, we would be stuck with Wentz . IDK which would be worse

Yeah, this will be tricky here. Maybe we can pry Rivers out of retirement. Some guys retire, then have second thoughts although I'm sure he would want to start,so once again Howie puts us on the rack

He is awful, sorry. I would rather go with a rook like Mills or White as my BU. Duds reached his ceiling as a #3. We need to do better. The 3 should be good enough to push your #2 and if he couldn't do that in 5 years,I see no reason to repeat that error

I did find this interesting that we didnt re-structure lane because "we didn't need to". So,although I am glad to not kick another contract down the road, it would have freed up loot for a FA QB. SO this leads me to 2 scenarios. 1) we are all in on Hurts or 2) we are doing what 93 wants and will stupidly draft a QB at 6 which would cause me to stop being a fan because I can't take enough Prozac

Updated mock FWIW. 1-6 Pitts   3-37 Greg Newsome-CB-Northwestern   3-70- Jaylen Twyman-DL-Pitt  3-84- Tylan Wallace-WR-OK st.   5-151- Jaret Patterson-RB-Buffalo  5-157- Tony Fields- LB-WV(transfer from AZ)   6-189- Davis Mills-QB-Stanford    6-224- Brendan Jaimes-OT- Nebraska  6-225-Darrick Forrest-S- Cincy  7-234- Kendrick Green- IOL-Illinois

Eagles extending Graham. Will save money this year and keep him around next year, which seems like a good idea.

Jeremy Fowler on Twitter: "Eagles and DE Brandon Graham are working on a contract extension that will help with cap space, per sources. One source said it's likely a one-year extension for the would-be 2022 free agent. Can re-arrange Graham's $17.9M cap hit and $13M salary while likely adding new money" / Twitter

He has stayed healthy and productive. Now the big question remains Barnett. There has been some speculation that they just pay him the $10 million this year, but there are better options in my mind. At some point he is who he is. Although I guess there is some value in seeing how he does in the new system.

IMO Barnett is not worth 10 million. I would rather sign Clowney for 7-8 mil

IDK seems strange to me that the Pats who will be flush with cash haven't made an offer for Watson(or maybe they have). I suppose Houston would/could force him to play

  • While NFL clubs aren't allowed to have direct contact with players during this negotiating window, only their agents, there are four exceptions. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, quarterback Jacoby Brissett, running back Alfred Morris and cornerback Richard Sherman currently do not have representation and thus can talk to teams themselves before the new league year begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

TE Smith signed with the Patriots, so only Rudolph and Henry that should concern the Eagles. Rudolph would have to pass a physical which may hold up teams from signing him...

Is Arse Clown a reference or choice? I'd take a hard pass on him.

The Mills deal makes me think the Eagles should lay low in free agency right now. That might net them a decent comp pick, which they don't want to screw up by signing a high priced backup qb.

In looking at these deals, perhaps the best thing for the Eagles to do with Barnett is let him play for the $10 million and then let him walk in free agency next year and get a comp pick if they don't want him back. Draft a prospect like Cooper or Shaka Toney in the fifth and hope he works out.

How do they fit $10m under the cap?

Watch some Indy games this year...you will get your answer.

So mills signing with Ne I’m going to be interested in his play see if he improves like so many guys have once they got out of Schwartz scheme.

Idk... in a year where expectations are low and looking ahead to seasons where older core guys are going to leave.... this is easily a time where we shouldn't get upset over any single move.  Compared to years where it could have made a difference in something meaningful.

I just think you are obsessed with Pitts at this point.  You set yourself up to get upset as he falls to a division rival or possibly joins his fellow alumni in Carolina.    All the dumb crap they pulled when they had at least a bronze medal roster that could have helped,  in a time where Marion Campbell era might look good, one move causing anyone to jump off the ledge doesn't make sense.

They just fired a SB winning coach sooner than anyone...they just traded away a former MVP candidate causing the record amount of dead money ...by a wide margin.   All after a season of musical chairs on offense breaking all kinds of records for the amounts of different players used and who played their first NFL snaps...  but yeah, you make the wrong pick now,  and that is it....lol ?????   The building is on fire, throw your glass of water on it...lol.

I would take Clowney for less rather than pay Barnett, take it however you want

SB winning coach(LMAO) we got LUCKY and everyone knows it. he was SOOOO OUTSTANDING as a SUPER BOWL coach teams lined up to give him a HC job(where????) SO Joe the building is on fire and you just walk away and give up? If enough throw their glass of water on it,maybe the fire goes out? The MVP candidate didn't want to play here and his play showed me that all last year and "the man" has never won a Superbowl he played in. I won't be upset if we don't get Pitts, I will be DISAPPOINTED. If we take a top WR,oh well.If we take a QB at 6,I will sell off my gear because I am DONE with stupidity
