Bengals signed a tackle and released a tackle. I think an OT at 5 is clearly their play.

They also released a qb, so another potential backup on the market.

They were picking on Siri this morning on the radio. Every other word supposedly was "Like" out of his mouth. I wonder how they talked in public when they first started out. Sure he sounds like a novice. Guess what? He is! We have no idea how he will coach, so lets let this play out before critiquing him with every little thing.

Reminds me of people I deal with on an every day business. One woman always says "You know what I mean"..... LOL No I have no clue! My sister always says "Oh My God".... Drives me crazy after talking to her for more than 3 minutes.....

Anyone else have something to add?

Like I UH UM can relate

A draft Q and A.

Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft Q&A: Best Big Running Back Fit? (insidethebirds.com)

Nothing earth shattering. Two interesting points were that he wouldn't draft any qb at 6 except for Lawrence and Fields and he wouldn't trade back past nine as the talent level drops off pretty considerably.

"A couple of Day 3 names I like are Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson"      OH,On my mock long ago. Who's your daddy haters?

I am now thinking the Eagles keep Ertz thru the draft. He is not worth trading for a 6th round pick and they can afford to keep him by re-doing Barnett's contract.

Yeah. I'm having a hard time getting excited for the draft or the season.

Too many unknowns.

LOL you should be used to this by now. We were power ranked at 6 before last season started. HAHAHAHA, then we got to see all those unknowns play

I've been thinking if they don't get what they feel is fair compensation, they may even keep him through the early part of the 2021 season, hoping he'll stay healthy and have a rebound type of year and then try to offload him to some team thinking adding him will help bump them up to contend for a postseason spot before the trade deadline (kinda what we did with Golden Tate a few years ago).

At this point I’d rather let Barnett just play out this year before making a decision to extend him.

WHY??? If they like the guy they signed? If they want a young BU, they can get that later. Unless it was 1 year contract, I dont see them rushing to the podium of for another tackle

Ertz wants out according to a lot of the media guys. Keeping him isn't an option.

We'll release him,we already gave him permission to talk to other teams. If they were going to keep him, they wouldn't have done that

They need oline help. Any of the top tackles can also play guard, or push one of their existing tackles to guard.

But that's not a reason to rush to the podium for the 5 pick, they can get those guys in round 2,3. IMO they clearly want weapons for Burrow. If they like the OT they just signed,it's not too tough to find 2,3 OG's in the draft or more FA's or even another OT. Other than Sewell there isn't a terrible amount of difference between a round 1 and round 2,3 OT (IMO)

Isn't the tackle they released a starter? They signed one but still have a hole on the other side. Their O-Line was terrible last year and they need an upgrade on all from what I saw.... Maybe OK at Center.... Not sure

Draft Tackle round 1 and guard round 2. sign a FA WR as there are plenty out there that would be an instant help for Burrow. Draft another round 3 or 4.

Looking at FA- RB's I'm shocked we haven't picked one up yet. Bell, Fournette, Damien Williams, Gurley, others all available to RBBC with Sanders(I still draft Patterson at 151)

Their O line was so bad we couldn't beat them lol. They can get a guy like leatherwood (Bama) in round 2. Ross is GONE,they need someone for Burrow to throw the dang ball to. They have cap, they will pick up some others. Burrow played with Chase. I suppose they could take another OT and get Marshall at WR in 2,but I would see what other moves they make before the draft

CIncy signed Malcolm Brown, cheap too 1.7 mil. They dont have a ton of cap space, but they are making moves while we sit around(as usual) and wait for the the barrel scraping

The one good thing about Cincy is that, based on their free agent spending, they are in win now mode. They are pursuing Golladay, so if they don't get him, drafting Chase or Pitts seems to be in their wheelhouse.

Miami also seems like they will look to draft a top player at 3, and an olineman makes sense for them.

The implication for the Eagles is that a qb may drop into their laps, thus either giving them a shot at a franchise qb or making their pick a lot more valuable. Either way it's a win for us.

I think this is smart. We shouldn't be overpaying for free agents right now. I would be fine with a low level CB, a solid backup qb and a cheap flyer on a guy like Hooker.

See what they can get in the draft, and then fill in the gaps later on. There's always guys floating around later in the year.

Well you won't overpay when all thats left are basement dwellers, because they weren't taken for a reason. Malcolm brown at 1.7 isn't a bank breaker for them. The OT move was to save 5.8 mil in cap space. If Cincy is dead set on Sewell, they will have to move to 3 because I still feel he goes to the Fins if they don't. They could stay at 5 and still get Slater I suppose, but the Chase reunion just seems hard for me to pass on if I am cincy. I can get a nice OT in round 2,or I could see them go Slater/ marshall in 2. Either works well for them. CIncy has already signed a pair of CB's as well

Yeah usually there are more releases after the draft too(if that team "got their guy",so that may be a good reason for waiting around

Pick 6-kicker I'm saying it now 🤣

Release, it's the only play left.
