Nah,they want to play with potential winners. Money isn't buying that. For a few 100k I wouldn't pull up stakes or disrupt my family either. More to things than money when you make millions a year anyway

Yea thats why we see players go to bad teams all the time for more money lmao. How did Miami a terrible team last year sign guys then if they want to go to winners oh right they paid them more money

At this point replacing the gatorade crew would even help us

Only 53 on a squad, you can fit 150 players on a roster

Yea Juju clearly wanted to go back to Pittsburgh or why did he turn down more money from KC and Baltimore if it was al about winning.

If it was clearly all winning KC made the most sense

That's the past, apparently he think Pitts has a future. We have neither

Pitts looked pretty good for 11 weeks no?

If they are more attractive it isn’t the city or team it’s the fact they can pay more then us so it’s strictly money

Well call JUJU's agent because this was an obvious blunder

BTW after the SB we had guys come or want to come for LESS MONEY because we were a winner.

Lmao so Juju signed in Cleveland then???? Because yours quoting me when I was talking about Cleveland being more attractive then us good job

And Juju didn’t sign with KC who offered more money call his agent than most be a obvious blunder.

He would take them over us,yeah I did another great job!!!!!!! Thanks for noticing

This is all pretty clear, per Schefter's report:
** Smith-Schuster's agent called #Eagles
** Eagles didn't call them, thus they weren't "courting" him
** Once they called, Eagles made offer (proving they can open money if they wanted)
** Smith-Schuster signed with another team

nope nobody wants to come to Philly players agents just calling us we weren’t going after him lmao

I think this is smart. We shouldn't be overpaying for free agents right now. I would be fine with a low level CB, a solid backup qb and a cheap flyer on a guy like Hooker.

See what they can get in the draft, and then fill in the gaps later on. There's always guys floating around later in the year.

I mean... it's smart for me not to try and dunk on a regulation rim...  but I can't really do it.   Much like the Eagles can't really overspend in free agency.

They still need to make moves to save more cap space in order to do anything significant in free agency.    The Barnett and Ertz issues are hurting them right now in this regard.

Most likely Barnett decides to play one year at $10 mil. Or they offer him more, once they get more room after June 1.  Ertz most likely will be released.    This happens when you get too greedy or play chicken.   Every day of delay prevents a signing.

At this point, if they trade for Watson, Barnett is probably included for cap reasons.

IDK is Barnett worth it??? I haven't seen that to this point. I dont think we can sign Watson even if we wanted to

The Eagles are locked into the $10 mil now unless they trade him.  It's why I think he would be included in a trade to help with fitting under the cap.   His contract being on the books limits what the Eagles can do right now.

Carolina has cap, they could move for Watson. Doing that would eliminate them having to give up draft capital

I was a little surprised Lane offered to restructure and they said "no need to". And while I am all for NOT kicking the can down the road,it could have helped this year

It will be interesting to see what happens. To me, Miami, Atlanta and Cincy, based on the moves they have made, are in win now mode. Miami brought in Fuller, Atlanta extended Ryan and Cincy has splashed around pretty good. So while them trading back makes sense, there is also a pretty big drop in talent from the top five of the draft. So if you think you are close, you want to grab a legit potential star.

Miami and Cincy both need help on the offense, so I think they don't trade back, since the high-end talent in the draft is on the offense. Atlanta trading back makes sense, especially with Carolina. But it wouldn't surprise me to see two qbs available at 6.

Way overthinking things.    These teams are all making moves to improve their teams. Miami was right there last year in the playoff race. Fuller is still a young player, why not sign him.   ATL created cap space, extensions do that.  Cindy is making moves because it's helping them get better...

Nothing seems at all like it's only win now.   And it's not basketball where one pick necessarily improves the team year one than if they trade down.   Way too much overthinking.

I agree, anyone who wants Ertz will wait now. I would think Dullaz or Buffalo would be 2 teams he could go to

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2020/05/21/panthers-pro-football-focus-receiver-corps-ranking/    This is a nice argument for them to go after Watson and hey Caff is no slouch either. And with the 8 pick they can add a really nice piece to their team..They have the cap space to get this done. This was last years group. Samuel is gone I believe, but getting Watson and using the 8 pick on a top WR would put them in nice shape

I think Mac Jones goes in the top 10. He had a very solid senior bowl week and he has some fans. I could see Carolina drafting him, and if not them then Denver.

Carolina is somewhat of a mystery to me. They let some guys walk I think they should have kept, and have brought in a few DEs when they drafted guys in the first and second rounds the last two years who have played well. Their oline moves have all the signs of "shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic," and I don't think they should be throwing a ton of draft capital at QB when you let Samuel walk out the door.

If I was their GM, I would look at it as a two year plan. If Jones falls to 8, take him and let him sit behind Bridgewater for a year. Draft some oline help and see how things go with the younger players. But I think their owner is calling shots, since their moves don't make sense. So they are something of a wildcard. I would love for the draft to unfold like I think, with Miami, Atlanta and Cincy drafting non qbs, and the Panthers losing their minds to trade up with us.

I think the new coach has big time influence... trying to get his team in there... it's why they may not make sense if you are looking past that.  He didn't pick the players that were let go.  He is picking them now.

Agree.... but the tides are turning.  You haven't experienced this yet.  But it's coming.
