I don't think it's a bogus move. It's a business. Everyone knows it's a business. And Ertz doesn't need to get released right now. Teams don't have any OTAs for weeks, and may not have them at all. Ertz is just throwing a hissy fit, like he did right before the start of the season. And I don't have time for that.

I think we really see the character coming out. He does plenty of positive things too. But he was the biggest disappointment last season. Really screwed us up. He should have been the reliable top weapon....like he’s been before the contract hissy fits.

Right... Doug, Wentz and Ertz... we see the character issues.    Right... nothing to do with Howie or the organization.    Right,  right... gotcha!

I think you could let Adoree and Slay just man up a ton. Secondary coach becoming a DC.....I think he’d like that idea.

Be nice to get a good CB group... they will need to cover good WR corps within the division.

Golladay, Slayton, Shepard and Ross

McLaurin and Samuel

Cooper, Gallup and Lamb.

The TEs aren't too shabby either, along with some good receiving RBs.  The work is definitely cut out for them.

Well we can't draft replacements ,only Lurie can do that, so we must make the best of it. I'm waiting for the day Lurie grows a set and finds a REAL GM( I know;keep waiting lol)

I think Lurie is the GM.

Great.

It works so well with the Cowpies.

The Ertz thing is turning into an anchor now (not like we needed another one) One more anchor on the Titanic . Loved the Harris signing if we can keep him here

If someone is drowning, hand them 2 bowling balls lmao

Free Agency so far in the division.....  and the comp pick formula

EAGLES  ... lost Mills and Ford        ..... added Harris    =  round 5 comp pick for Mills

Dallas ... lost Daulton, Awuzie, Erving and Joe Thomas   .... added Basham and Neal       = round 4 comp pick for Daulton

Wash  .... lost Darby and Pierre Louis   .... added Curtin Samuel, Fitzpatrick and William Jackson     = nothing

NYG   ... lost Tomlinson  ....   added Golladay, Booker, Ross and Glennon        =  nothing

You see the difference in the signings so far.    The Eagles and Dallas both with one year deals on their main adds.    Giants and Skins got their guys under contract for 3 and 4 years.   (I'm not looking at Fitzpatrick as anything long term, even though for 2021, he could be the biggest add in the division.)

Will be interesting to see how these moves work out.   All the teams have decent draft positions too.   I think NY and Wash have advanced both short and long term with their key additions... the Eagles and Dallas seem to be relying more on their injured players to be coming back, in both cases that includes a pair of OL over age 30.

Of coarse Ertz is pissed at Rosie for not backing up the Brinks truck.

Still doesn’t mean he had to have that kind of season last year trying to force a trade. Pretty dumb actually. He just screwed himself. If he played well....he would have been moved

What would suck is if dallas got Fuller

Mmmm Kyle Fuller??? Will Fuller both those guys have signed already.

Adoree' Jackson fits that bill. Since 2018, Jackson has the fourth-highest coverage grade on the outside, per PFF. Only Jaire Alexander, Richard Sherman and Stephon Gilmore scored higher.”

that is pretty impressive company

So I’m looking at the Vikings D and the Colts, and the one element i see is they have a stud Lb(or LBs) then I look at our D and we at best have 1 decent guy in Singleton.

Feel like for this D to be at its best we need a game changing LB seems to be a key element.

What about the teary eyed interview when he said he wanted to stay?

Really liking the idea of Slay/Adoree paired together be the first time having two good CBs since what Asante and Sheldon lol.

But because I want adoree it won’t happen lmao

He got hurt .... the team around him was a dumpster fire.   Let's not act like anything was normal with the firedrill OL and a different combo of WRs each game and Sanders in and out of the lineup.

You act like it's a conscious choice to play poorly.

The front office is responsible for the experience you are going to have as a fan the next few years.. all the defection you do here isn't going to change that.

I think any D needs better LBs than the ones we have.

Why was he released if he is so good?

Issues with the team from what I heard dealing with his injury and rehab

Rumor is he going to the Gnats, or at least other players are helping recruit him

Gnats making some nice moves, they should be a solid team

I would argue that the pass rush is way more important in both those schemes than linebacker play.

But we will see. It is pretty likely we will go into the season with Edwards and Singleton starting. They didn't hurt us last year, and I doubt they will do so this year. They only had 6 games playing together, and by the Washington game looked pretty good together. But we will see what the new regime thinks.

Ultimately, the best case scenario would be Taylor developing, and I think it is worth giving him one more year to see what he becomes before losing our minds and drafting a LB early or paying someone in free agency.
