Avery is a really good blitzer and a really good tackler. In a two deep safety scheme, you need LBs who can shed blocks and stop the run, since you have one less guy in the box.

Not saying he can’t earn a bigger role in the D but that why he was signed 

IDK maybe there will be some guys left after we release Ertz, but thats a big anchor at the moment

I think Foles would love to come back to Philly he has his best success in Philly he already beloved don’t think that would change if he returns for a 3rd stint. Likely only continue to grow the legend of St.Nick lol

Two place???? Started in Philly under Kelly got traded started in St.Louis was a disaster. Came back to Philly(had a stint in KC) we all know what happened here. Started for the Jags after big payday was a disaster. Went to Chicago played musical QBs with Mitch lmao.

Foles definitely has had plenty of chances to show he is a #1 QB he clearly isn’t great backup though

Can't blame him for the Jags. He broke his collar bone in the 1st game then was shut down because the Jags went with Minchew. That didn't work very well either.

I mean im pretty sure they turned back to Foles when he got healthy he didn’t Impress and they opted to go with Minshew. 
 

Reality is could make laundry list of excuses of why guys fail but this isn’t exactly the first failed starter stint foR him either 

To me the whole time they have been talking about trading for Foles...even back with the Wentz trade to the Bears...it just sounds like disaster. Foles is a great guy that can handle the situation of competing. Hurts can also. I personally want to see what Hurts can do. I think he’s pretty good.

You think he’s pretty good? Ok. Based on what? I don’t mean it as a derogatory question. I mean it as a real question.  I legitimately want to read why you think Hurts is pretty good.

I think we have pretty much seen what he is..... an inaccurate passing, good athlete that plays QB.  Unless he has an EXCEPTIONAL defense to carry the team, he will be an average to below average QB in terms of stats and team record....nothing inspiring at all.

IMO he's not a franchise QB. He will be "average"- "above average" and that's all we need right now. We're not playoff bound, we are rebuilding. SO let him be average while we build the team up and I also won't say this to be mean, but he is "expendable" at this point. I want to get this team to the point everyone says "Good team, all they need is a QB now". What I REALLY want to find out is if the offense has "shifted" into more of a running RPO QB style(Hurts), or if we will stick with the pocket passer type (Like Wentz is/was). I think we go all in on Hurts and see if we can raise his level of mediocrity. I personally prefer pocket passers.  I'm with Joe though,we need whatever type QB we settle on and have those same types as our #2 and #3 and not mix them up. If the BU needs to come in,I don;t want to have to change the offensive philosophy. If we are going with the running QB style,then as DC said I could see us making a play for Wilson next year, and really Hurts has that same/similar style, so there is your future #2 BU

Just a note. He lost his job in Alabama to TUA, so he transferred to Oklahoma so he could play. If he wasn't good enough to hold off TUA, then how good could he be? Not judging, players can get better,just sayin'...................
