He started 4 games... are we also just going to ignore that he threw 340 yards on two of the worst Ds in football???? Or the fact he was getting blown out BY DALLAS of all teams.

Want to talk the Washington game before he got pulled he was 7/20 for 72 yards and a int passing??? What a weapon lol

Joe Flacco signed with us

Though I didn’t see us going Pitts to begin with with his pro day it might be unlikely he falls to 6 anyway.

6’6 240 ran a 4.46 bigger and faster then Mike Evans for comparison. He might be the first skill position player off the board

Hoping to draft a Cb in the 2nd to start still think round 2 is the money round for CB

Pitts has just been looking so hard to pass on for me.

Does anyone care?

I guess it depends on th eincentives

Considering he played on 1.5m last year for the Jets that 2m increase does seem steep. He can earn up to 7.5m my guess is that’s if he plays a certain number of snaps

If he plays many snaps it'll just mean we're drafting in the top 10 again next year.

Now maybe fewer mocks will show Fields to us - stomach churns every time I see him associated with us. Get a late rd/udfa, QB room done,

100%   the longer it goes, the more petty the Eagles look.

The team is under the cap. Why couldn’t they make Ertz play his contract out?

We waived Burnett

No football injury release.....wonder what that’s about?

Probably Right at this point. I guess it depends on HR's stubbornness. He was dead set on getting a return for Ertz. He may keep him and see what unfolds. Not fair for him to be sure. Ertz does deserve better, but this is a business and I have seen worse. Look at Dawkins and see how that was handled.....

If we release him we don’t get the comp pick. He could garner a fourth round comp pick if you can afford to keep him.

With 2 picks-------------same "weapon" as Wentz If wentz hadn't have led the league in picks and sacks,he  may have still been here. I will give Hurts his shot, but he is far from being annointed

Trash contract. I bet Flac is happy as hell. After some decent signings, Howie had to find a way to Eff us over. Here it is

I don't think Ertz has fallen all that much that he can't help any team unless they have a solid supporting cast! Why bother drafting Pitts? He has no one to help him either. I do not get that logic at all. I agree the Eagles should let him go at this point only because of what he did for this team. They did allow his agent to seek a trade and they could do not better than a 6th round pick. Who's fault is that? Ertz played like crap last year when healthy. Had he performed then he would be playing elsewhere by now, so he only has himself to blame to be honest. Yes Howie screwed up not trading him last summer, we are all aware of that and I along with many others wanted that to happen. Water under the bridge now. They should do the right thing and let him go, but there is no guaranty they will at this point other than to save cap room if needed....

Supposedly had a fourth round pick before the trade deadline....but then he got injured.

What's he supposed to say "Oh I came here cause Darnold is out?" lol. Means nothing at all

Yeah....I doubt he is privy to Joe Douglas secret draft plans.

I don't think he is crap.  Big difference from crap to not being " all that "  I just think a big thing for him was his usage...like a basketball player taking a lot of shots, doesn't necessarily mean he is a good scorer.   He's a guy to me that takes advantage of his teammates getting the attention.  He didn't have that the last couple of seasons.   He drew some top CBS and was a non factor at times.  He doesn't block well. Doesn't run after the catch well.   So he needs the pieces around him.  I don't think teams see him as a difference maker on his own, more of a final piece thing.  I don't see teams giving up anything for him at this stage.  I think we could have received a 3rd rounded early last year, that team could have used him last year before deciding what to do... it's just bad timing now. Zero leverage.

Got leverage by holding on to him going into the season. He could still be moved before the deadline. Get a fourth round comp potentially if he’s kept the whole season.

Gotta be able to throw the ball. Being able to hash a team with the run always has made the passing game easier. Add a QB racking up yards and those passing lanes open up even more. So a QB that can run the ball....doesn’t have to throw for the same yards as a traditional pocket passer.

That's terrific, you got an O line for this???? I want a QB who can move in the pocket, buy a little time, if needed, for the strike, not a 1 read and take off. That guy won't last long(one of Hurts' biggest knocks)

So now with Flacco, if Hurts goes out,we have to change the entire offense for him. This is what I wanted to AVOID

Absolutely brutal PR with that move.  The whole league knows you don't want him, he wants out... you tried to trade him last year and all off-season. No reason to keep him.  Let him go and save the cap space.

Do you see the Eagles not signing legit free agents next year... in order to get a comp pick?  At this stage?   I don't see it.

Which free agents are you planning on losing to get comp picks?

Ertz, Harris,  Goedert,  Mailata, Sweat , Maddox.

You have these 6 guys potentially. I assume you plan to keep a few... then also sign a few more.   You eating $4.7 mil for a comp pick that only happens if you refuse to sign guys?
