Flacco threw for 864 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions during his brief stint in New York where the team finished at the bottom of the AFC East with a record of 2–14.               Great move Howie (you moron) Or maybe this foolishness is on Lurie????  I hope his incentives aren't based on Geritol intake

Falco,Falco,Falco, no wait, it's Flaco, Flaco, Flaco

Welp, as sad as it sounds, IMO this sets us up for a QB at 6 because the guy they are bringing in is a 180 over the guy they drafted. This sets Hurts up to(hope he) fails and we take any QB not named Fields at 6. Just an awful signing in my view. I would rather have signed Fitz

I think Fitz is way ahead in the pecking order at this point.  He was pretty expensive.  Probably double of all the 3 guys we signed so far.  We need to get that 2022 4th round comp pick,  so we can't dump Ertz either.

As illogical as that is, after this signing, you may have stumbled onto Howies "plan"

SO which style QB are we going to gear our offense towards? "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong" lol

I gotta be honest. This is roster filler to me with Flacco. I imagine the cap hit is almost nothing by the time all the technicalities get calculated.   I get the style thing, but my bigger thing was that there is no incentive to put Flacco in.  Why, to get a worse draft pick? It's decoration like I wanted.  Not a running QB type decoration, but none the less we got a guy nobody cares to want to see play and probably barely any cap hit.   I wouldn't worry, shouldn't change any plans.  They would draft one at 6...  late round  or UDFA regardless of which meaningless vet was signed.

Just worry about Pitts for now... and that 2022 comp pick for Ertz.

He started 4 games... are we also just going to ignore that he threw 340 yards on two of the worst Ds in football???? Or the fact he was getting blown out BY DALLAS of all teams.

Want to talk the Washington game before he got pulled he was 7/20 for 72 yards and a int passing??? What a weapon lol

Yeah let’s talk about Tank Game and your expectations for Hurts on that day.

That's terrific, you got an O line for this???? I want a QB who can move in the pocket, buy a little time, if needed, for the strike, not a 1 read and take off. That guy won't last long(one of Hurts' biggest knocks)

Hurts biggest knock is his durability? That’s news to me. He seems real solid to me. Not sure why you are labeling him so injury prone?

More than 7/20 for 72 yards.... or you want to talk about his what 53% vs one of the worst Ds in football in Dallas to go along with 2 ints????

I would wager that it's somehow spread over 5 years.  At least 3.

Just painfully probably true

So now with Flacco, if Hurts goes out,we have to change the entire offense for him. This is what I wanted to AVOID

Change it to train wreck mode. Captain of the Titanic taking over.

Absolutely brutal PR with that move.  The whole league knows you don't want him, he wants out... you tried to trade him last year and all off-season. No reason to keep him.  Let him go and save the cap space.

It’s not they don’t want him. It’s they didn’t want to EXTEND him. So he feels very underpaid. He also knows how crucial the timing of a new contract was against the clock of Father Time.

How can I grow into the player I know I can be? What does that look like? Who’s around me? Who’s going to help me get there? Just finding that, I think that’s where my head is. It’s all about growth. I’m all about growth and I’m all about learning.

"I’m very appreciative of this opportunity and I want to take advantage of it. I’m all about how can I help this team get to where we want to be? How can I become a better quarterback for this team? I have a lot of experiences that I can learn from, we will be better from.”

I can ride with a talented player thinking like this. QB isn’t our biggest problem.

He had Brett Toth making his first start at Tackle and Matt Pryor as the other T.

Do you see the Eagles not signing legit free agents next year... in order to get a comp pick?  At this stage?   I don't see it.

This is a good point. Will we lose any other players that will qualify for a comp pick potentially? That way we can sign a couple guys but cover enough that we still keep the Ertz Comp pick.
