Who is really pressed for a QB next year(barring injury)? 4 teams will pick their future THIS year, doesn't leave alot that would be reaching for one in '22

Off the top of my head... NE,NO,TB(depends on Brady), Seattle, Houston, Detroit, ATL(if they don’t go QB this year) Pittsburgh, Washington, Minnesota, Oakland, Denver....

Next year could be plenty of teams still looking for a QB

Rephrasing an earlier tweet for clarity: Early on in the draft prospect, the #Eagles felt Zach Wilson was a strong prospect, but for where they are, they felt moving back and collecting a future 1st rounder was a better way to build a team.

Is Rapoport the dumbest reporter on the planet? That's two huge mistakes he has made recently with regard to the Eagles. Such a huge difference between his first and second tweets.

Detroit has Goff lol Atl could take Ryans heir at 4, no clue what Wilson does or if Watson goes to jail lol. Hard to know what the others would do bu suspect if say Wilson walks, one of those other will get him,so thats a wash

Well I would be ok with that then, if it was the first one, thats dumb AF and would totally kill the QB room lol. He needs to be CLEAR before he spouts off

hey DC,we could also go for Rodgers lol. Seems he may be a FA after this year?

Can't rule it out. Having said that though, people in the FO have been hanging on to missing out on Russ since that draft, they are infatuated with him. This is what has lead me to believe they'll try to trade for him.

*Disclaimer: I could 100% be wrong and none of this happens* Which is more than likely lol.

Yea because Goff is sure fire thing... did say depending what ATL decides to do.

And Houston/Seattle are two teams that can also be in next year along with others. Should still be plenty of teams looking for QB next year is the point

Well we know anything is possible with this FO lol

I'm pretty sure GOff was signed for more than a year?

At any rate the Tweet was "clarified" lol,so it's a moot point

The point is they won't be looking at Hurts as their franchise QB

Well at 12 guess my top two picks would be Parsons or Horn.

Id lean Parsons but since it’s Philly not getting my hopes up for that lol

Why would other teams be looking at Hurts to be there franchise QB lol that’s a question for the Eagles to answer

Evaluating the trade, we gave up 6 and 156, which are worth a combined 1,629 points. We got back 12 and 123, which are worth 1,249 points. The 2022 pick is worth at least 590 points. It could be either the Dolphins own, or the 49ers. Both teams should be decent next year, so my guess is that it will be in the 20s somewhere, so between 700 and 850 points. Not great value, but a decent trade for us.

More importantly, we remain in the upper tier of the draft. Assuming four qbs go in the top 10, that means that we can likely get one of the three top corners or three receivers at 12, assuming Sewell and Pitts also go in the top 10.

It’s the Dolphins 1st rounder

Watching NFLF, accoring to them the Eagles and the Fins have pick 12 lol

They wont, because with THIS team, he wont perform well enough ti impress anyone

Not sure if that is good or bad. I think the 49ers are the better team, but their division will be brutal and they will be starting a rookie qb. Though Tua might be terrible as well, so that could end up being a great pick for us.

Think getting the Miami pick was better for us... SF is a ground team they run the ball good for a rookie QB as long as the rook isn’t worse then Jimmy G should be fine they also have a strong D.

Still think best play for us is Parsons at 12 and then a CB in two(still think you get a great CB in 2)

My guess is the Pats are on the phone about now for Garapolo lol

Howie loves his linemen . If we building for a QB in 2022 then we need the lines rebuilt. Paye or Rousseau?

1-12-Horn 2-37 Oweh ..............I like it

Wow... I  like the move by the Eagles.   I don't think they wanted to draft a skill position player as high as 6.    Now if one falls ... WR or CB. They can take him.   I still think they go DL.   And at this point it is probably the smart move.   He won't start and it will annoy people,  but it's a foundation piece for later.

Get 3 firsts next year.   You can trade one for a player,  like Peters in 2009 or what Buffalo did with Diggs last year.  You can trade back with one, maybe get another first in 2023.

Give Hurts 2 years,  build the team up.  Then you can make a decision as he enters the last year of his contract in 2023 if you need a QB.

2016 we had a decent core when Wentz was drafted.   Getting a QB now,  a lot of the same core but 5 years older.  I prefer to wait until we get a younger core in place... to avoid a quick dumpster fire situation for a new QB who might play at MVP level.   Having a QB on a bad roster ... we see how that doesn't work if you look around the league.  Guys who had it much better than us last year, and they want out.  Get a situation where the QB not only doesn't want out, but other players want to come.

Don't rush it, take your lumps and do it right.

1-12- Horn-CB- S Carolina  2-37- Jayson Oweh-edge-Penn  3-70 Chaz Surratt-LB-NC  3-84- Josh Myers- C-OSU  4-123-Cornell Powell-WR-Clemson(thats as far as I got lol)

My gut feeling is that Smith, Waddle or Pitts is going to be there.

Miami wanted back in the top 10, and to me that signals that they want one of the OTs. It doesn't make much sense to me for them to make that move for a wr, especially since they have pick 18 as well, and Bateman will likely be there. But at 12 the top three OTs could be gone.

The way the draft is shaking up, qbs go with the first three picks, and then my guess is Atlanta trades back with either Carolina or Denver, who take Lance. Then OTs go to Cincy and Miami, and Detroit takes Chase. Atlanta takes a CB, and Jones goes to either Carolina or Denver (whomever didn't trade up.) Dallas grabs a corner and then come the Giants.

At that point Darrisaw, Waddle, Smith and Pitts are left on the board. Darrisaw makes sense for them, or a pass rusher or Parsons.

So we may get Pitts, Waddle or Smith while also getting a first rounder next year.
