Wow... I  like the move by the Eagles.   I don't think they wanted to draft a skill position player as high as 6.    Now if one falls ... WR or CB. They can take him.   I still think they go DL.   And at this point it is probably the smart move.   He won't start and it will annoy people,  but it's a foundation piece for later.

Get 3 firsts next year.   You can trade one for a player,  like Peters in 2009 or what Buffalo did with Diggs last year.  You can trade back with one, maybe get another first in 2023.

Give Hurts 2 years,  build the team up.  Then you can make a decision as he enters the last year of his contract in 2023 if you need a QB.

2016 we had a decent core when Wentz was drafted.   Getting a QB now,  a lot of the same core but 5 years older.  I prefer to wait until we get a younger core in place... to avoid a quick dumpster fire situation for a new QB who might play at MVP level.   Having a QB on a bad roster ... we see how that doesn't work if you look around the league.  Guys who had it much better than us last year, and they want out.  Get a situation where the QB not only doesn't want out, but other players want to come.

Don't rush it, take your lumps and do it right.

I will still target Howell next year, unless he really sucks this next season

The way the draft is shaking up, qbs go with the first three picks, and then my guess is Atlanta trades back with either Carolina or Denver, who take Lance. Then OTs go to Cincy and Miami, and Detroit takes Chase. Atlanta takes a CB, and Jones goes to either Carolina or Denver (whomever didn't trade up.) Dallas grabs a corner and then come the Giants.

Still don’t see Jets going QB... Think SF traded up to 3 because they know Jets don’t want QB and they get Wilson....ATL not sure they move if your Carolina you got no reason to move up now Fields or Lance should fall to you at 8.

My gut feeling is that Smith, Waddle or Pitts is going to be there.

Miami wanted back in the top 10, and to me that signals that they want one of the OTs. It doesn't make much sense to me for them to make that move for a wr, especially since they have pick 18 as well, and Bateman will likely be there. But at 12 the top three OTs could be gone.

At that point Darrisaw, Waddle, Smith and Pitts are left on the board. Darrisaw makes sense for them, or a pass rusher or Parsons.

So we may get Pitts, Waddle or Smith while also getting a first rounder next year.

IMO not taking a WR that early,no need to when I can get Powell with our new 4 picks

At 12 D just feels like the best value pick. Think one of those playmakers might be there but think that’s the wrong move go with your young core on O and grab pieces for the D to build around

1-12- Horn-CB- S Carolina  2-37- Jayson Oweh-edge-Penn  3-70 Chaz Surratt-LB-NC  3-84- Josh Myers- C-OSU  4-123-Cornell Powell-WR-Clemson(thats as far as I got lol)

C'mon haters lol still have 5-150 as Jaret Patteron,RB- buffalo. Anyone have a problem with 3 D picks first?

Feel like that is the way the draft is heading for us D heavy

Yeah I like this mock so far. I upgraded WR from round 5 to 4. Powell is no slouch. Maybe one/two more late round changes, but I''m happy with my first picks through 150

Terrific athlete!!!

I'm not completely convinced Pitts couldn't realistically fall.

Think getting the Miami pick was better for us... SF is a ground team they run the ball good for a rookie QB as long as the rook isn’t worse then Jimmy G should be fine they also have a strong D.

Still think best play for us is Parsons at 12 and then a CB in two(still think you get a great CB in 2)

Do you really think Parsons will still be there at 12

Do you really think the Eagles will draft a LB in the 1st even if he is Lawrence Taylor reincarnated

Do I think Parsons will be there not guaranteeing anything but think that around his range...As for the Eagles drafting him no I don’t see us taking him but still feel like that is the best play value wise

Can't argue.

If we are going with what’s likely with the Eagles I’d agree with Joe and it’s a linemen.

My issue is I don’t think there will be a worthy linemen to take at 12.

Assuming both Ts are gone Sewell and Slater and NY I see taking the top pass rusher at 11 Paye.

To me take the best D player remaining and that could likely be Parsons he gives you a young building block in the middle of your D.

round 2-3 you can look DL/CB. Possibly double dip from Penn St. get the freakish pass rusher in 2 grab a CB round 3 or flip it get a CB 2 and pass rusher in 3

Unless another team looks to move up... maybe New England?

Maybe....and No.

Doesn’t seem like a NE move but can’t rule anything out I guess.

Carolina. Thats a big move and the Pats would have to move all the way from 15. I dont see how they can do it

If he gets to 10 you think Dullaz would pass on him??? I dont THINK SO. They would LOVE to have a guy better than Witten and we opened that door right up for them

SOOOOO that's going to be EXCELLENT us having to defend AGAINST Pitts twice a year(gl with that). We moronically put ourselves behind both Dullaz and the Gnats. To avoid that we need to move back UP to at least 9, this is where the 6 round picks come in handy and maybe 1 later pick next year, but IMO we need to make that move if Pitts gets past pick 8 which I suspect will be ATL's pick if they make the trade to Carolina

So, I'm going to say we will regret this move down the road by putting ourselves behind 2 division rivals when we had the chance to get a good pick before they got them.If I'm dullaz I am THRILLED with the op to get Pitts, even if I have to move up a little

They might feel like their offense already has a lot of resources invested and is looking for more bang out of a pick on defense.

IDK they can take Pitts, pretty much finish the offense and go CB in 2 and beyond. he is like a JJ on steroids and we're going to regret letting him get away(like we did JJ). Just another failed re-run of the usual bad decisions. With our round 1 picks the next 2 years,we'd better get guys to cover Pitts lol. Carolina should trade up to 4, putting ATL back to 8. They could take Pitts there also. If they don't I suspect he goes to Dullaz, but we effectively outsmarted oursevles again

Looks to me like they will make a now disgruntled Ertz play another year, forcing him to play well. If he struggles again this year(with a little improved team),we are hurting him and our rep by hurting him. Howie COULD release him,but that's 2 bad cap boo boo's in 1 year and Lurie better WAKE UP
