And what does throwing the ball away do to effect the team last year. Both QBs needed hero ball.  The only time it was really bad was vs Dallas, but we won that game anyway.

We also gave up on the running game joe, that puts even more pressure on your QB

I also blame Ped for the constant O line shifts. 14 combos in 16 games gives your QB ZERO stablilty. At least keeping them in the same spots gives your QB a chance because in time he will know where the weakest link is,but Wentz didnt get the chance. At any rate, the comedy of errors has ended,I just dont want a re-run

Thats what we got Djax and Alshon for,the STABLE weapons that never showed up

he wasn't hitting guys when they WERE open

1. Stability is not the same as top level. And you know this because you want Pitts because you see an impact player,  not a stable one.  Why don't you understand the difference when it comes to these WRs?

2. Every QB makes guys when they ARE open.   The difference is the other teams have guys that will get open again and again...and again.  We focus on the missed plays because there were so few opportunities compared to what other guys had.

We will see this in Indy.   He will miss throws, miss reads etc..  but there will be more opportunities to make up for that.  Diggs would have helped there for sure. You relax when you have a reliable target. Big difference between having one and having none.

We don't have Diggs, let it go

Not pe se,but it' sometimes makes you want to try too hard, which I saw Wentz do. His fear of making mistakes caused him to make more mistakes, now that pressure is off in Indy

In 5 years, never saw Wentz afraid of making mistakes.  If anything the opposite is true... to his detriment.

And we won't have Pitts... so can we agree to never mention either again. I can do it with pleasure knowing you will stop.

Gets annoying doesn't it... just for a little...imagine hearing about it for months?

Many things could have hurt his confidence. Giving up the run, bad play calls, 14 O lines in 16 games, injuries to key players(over and over), drafting Hurts, etc. You can't put everything on Wentz, yet he made alot of bonehead plays too

LOL Is Diggs a FA this year? Can we afford to get him? Pitts is still a possibility, Diggs is not. Thats a BIG difference. I can spout all the players I want here, doesn't make them possible to get and while I will admit Pitts could be out of the picture,as they say,it aint over till it;'s over and if you bothered to look at my last mock or 2,I removed him, happy????

SO re Wentz, you can lead the league in picks, but at least your not taking sacks OR you can take the sacks and NOT lead the league in picks. It takes real talent to capture both those "trophys"

I can throw the ball away in 1 second. I wont hit anything but its out lol. BTW Diggs would have solved that whole problem

Great just intentional grounding lose of down and 15 yards

about as bad as league leading picks and sacks and I will work for 1/4 salary

I will just lateral to an unknown RB that isnt there.problem solved 😁

Oh so RB blocking your going to pitch it to that won’t end poorly fumble or lose of 10+ yards

I find it interesting we FA'd TWO S's but no RB (or not yet anyway). I'm thinking LeVon Bell here for a mil or under

I will mix those plays up,keep the D off balance 🤣

If it was this simple why does a QB ever take a sack lol

Peyton, Rodgers, Farve, Russ, Watson etc. all must be bums all have led the league in sacks.

Pretty sure Peyton led the league in sacks and ints before that bum how did he make the HoF

Why even pay OL they don’t need to protect it’s so easy to avoid sacks apparently

They do, they just don't lead the league

Maybe, but did they ALSO lead the league in picks at the SAME TIME?

Maybe as a rook lol not 5 years in

Anyway out for awhile HF all

You mean like 01 for Peyton and he threw 23 ints that bum

An article about the team trading down.

2021 NFL Draft: Here's why Bengals influenced Eagles to move down six spots to No. 12 overall, per report - CBSSports.com

Apparently the Eagles felt that Cincy is going to draft Chase, who was their top target, and decided to trade back rather than to trade up ahead of them, which is smart IMO.

Ironically, now the team can keep trading back, especially if the Dolphins take a WR at 6. At 12, there might be a top OT prospect available, and plenty of teams might be interested in swapping picks, including the Dolphins. The Dolphins have pick 50, which is worth 400 points, and the difference between 12 and 18 is 300 points. So they may be interested in trading up if Darrisaw or Slater is sitting there. And I don't see a team between 12 and 18 who would be that interested in a wr, but a bunch of them might take an OT. Plus, Bateman and Toney are draftable at 18, if they are set on a wr.

DId he also lead the league in sacks that year?(I will answer NO for you)

OH BTW Trent Green led the league that year(with 24) lol

Chazz Surratt is a linebacker we have been linked to. He ran a 4.58 at his pro day at 6'2", 229 pounds, and put up 25 reps on the bench press, which is pretty good.

He is definitely a solid third round prospect.

This is why it's nice to have a ton of picks this year.

Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Duke CB Mark Gilbert, cousin of Darrelle Revis, ran a 4.36 today at his Pro Day today. Gilbert was considered a potential first-round pick two years ago, when he was originally draft eligible, before he suffered back-to-back injuries. But he’s now officially healthy." / Twitter

He had a big year for Duke as a sophomore in 2017, 6 INTs and 15 PBUs, but then got hurt and has been battling injuries ever since. He's older, but he's also the kind of prospect that a sixth or seventh round pick would be perfect for. If he doesn't work out, fine. But if he does, he has a ton of upside.

If the medical team tell Howie not to do it though... He'll pass and we could have another Metcalf on our hands. That said if he takes him he'll probably not shake his injury history.
