For awhile I was putting off getting a WR early, but with the moves to get more round 1's next year for a top QB, I think it would be wise to get a WR in 2, let him learn and offer our new QB some semblance of a weapon to use. Reagor needs to pick it up here in year 2 as well. Ward could turn out to be a nice WR, or at least a solid BU, and Fulgham could be nice once again but I would like to get a decent tandem set for our "apparent" play to get a QB in 2022(which could also be Wilson lol)

God I sure hope we don’t give up all those high picks for Wilson.  The last thing this team needs right now is yet another bloated contract.  Use those high picks to add as much top end talent as possible on cheap (relatively speaking) rookie contracts.  If Hurts craps the bed we’ll be in position to grab a QB next year that won’t come at the expense of as many high picks as Wilson will.

I think that is what GB was referring to....

Would really depend were we are picking and who you like at QB same as any year. Cost seems to be 3 first rounders or around that for Wilson could be the same for a rookie QB depending.

Really at the moment to many unknowns only thing now is wait and see what happens

Either one is good. I just want some size if we draft a WR this year. Tired of drafting players under 190 lbs and 6 feet.... They just don't seem to hold up for us....

I get the feeling we won’t go WR early think we will opt to go with our youngsters and trust in Siri.

Probably right. I actually prefer we go defense with the first 3 picks minimum. Give Gannon something to work with...... Get CB LB and DT or DE

Marshall looks like a plodder. I like Seth Williams better. Sirianni can tighten up his route running.

LOL, we are talking about who we should draft knowing Howie will get none of them..... depressed.....

I know and I agree. We could get a top draft pick next year, but Howies is still miffed he didn't move up for Wilson and I think it bothers him lol

I'll take a 100 yard per game "plodder" any day. Tough kid,can take a hit

Bateman all day great route runner already good hands size... Think he is the most underrated guy in this draft at WR doesn’t get lot of hype

Lol just goes to show the depth of this WR class Marshall, Williams, Bateman and others all could be had later

Sadly I had a mock like that, but then if we are gearing up for a franchise QB next year, then we'd better get some enticing/ talented weaponry in here,or we will have a Wentz re-run with lackluster receivers. Lets not forget that even if Ertz plays here this year(which we don't know), he will be gone after that, so getting a decent QB will all be for naught if we put him in a position to fail..So I changed my mock to reflect that fact

Grab a talented WR in the 4th. If they do not work out grab another next year. At least the defense will start looking better....

We need everything, all we are discussing is the ORDER we fix things. Not all happening this year, and really if we have no offense D wont matter because NO defensre can be on the field for 45 minutes a game,so this needs to be balanced approach with both O and D in my view. We got 2 S's in FA,and we need CB"s for sure and a LB,but we also need to add offense of those guys will be gassed on D

So many young guys on O as is let’s see what they have before we kee muddying the waters. 4 WRs going into year 2... Dallas Geodart should get his chance to be the starter, Miles Sanders/Scott a nice would like to see the bigger guy to compliment them added.

If guys don’t work out we have the picks and supposedly the cap space to make moves next year.

SO I would prefer to get some offensive weapons in here,it will take a year for them to learn, but maybe in year 2 they can make an impact,so I would like ONE top flight WR and hope reagor can show us why we "wasted" a round 1 pick on him

I was thinking if we are picking around the same next year as our original draft position (6) it likely would take only one future 1st to move up to 2nd or 3rd.

I’d focus on the D this year as well but we also have 4 picks on the top 100 I think of one of them goes to the O isn’t the end of the world just hit on the players we are drafting lol

I would not be against getting Two in here, but we need everything. We also need to start rebuild the lines on both sides and although we have late picks with BU potential,we have again lines that need youth injections

Funny, had he only used one of our 2nd rd picks that year (we had 2 ... one we used on Kendricks, the other on Curry) he wouldn't need to give up 3 first rd picks plus now for him.  Rumor has it Andy wanted him but Roseman got cute (once again thinking he is smarter than everyone else) and assumed they'd be able to get him in the 3rd.

Looking at likely two firsts and 2nd give or take similar to what we gave up when we traded for Wentz

Wont matter if this team can't score points lol

Yeah with 3 round 1's we could give one away(plus whatever else depending on the size of the move) and still have 2 round 1 picks next year

And if we can’t stop anyone we lose also it goes both ways... As you said we need everything it’s just the order we rather do it.

Why I would like to see a nice balance between O and D. We have an all new staff. I dont want to bomb one or the other.if we went all D he would have to put up a GREAT unit,so lets spread the job assignments around. Once we do that, then it's easier to see where the holes are next year
