If you look at several NFL big boards, there are a lot of intriguing names ranked around 84th at positions of need. WRs Dyami Brown and Elijah Moore. RBs Kenneth Gainwell and Michael Carter. LBs Chazz Surratt and Cameron McGrone. I think we should be spending top 100 picks on positions where we aren't very good now rather than filling holes that don't exist yet, or might not exist at all.

Jabril Cox is figured to be around there. That’s the kind of LB I think We could use. If we can’t get Bolton at 37.

I like Andre Cisco the S from Syracuse. He would really fit in our presumed Cover Two look perfectly.

We band-aided the S spot at least for now. Could re-sign either or both, so my S pick is later with Wiggins(cincy) as my first 5 pick. he has a year to ;learn behind Harris

Azeri Ojulari is the name we haven’t talked about much. He’s that stud pass rusher. Hard to figure where he goes in the draft though. He was listed as a second rounder but I think he’s been climbing draft boards. Could he have climbed all the way to 12?

Ossai can play OLB or edge, very versatile and I can get Surratt at 84. Now I have an edge guy and potentially 2 LB's if I need them for whatever scheme we are running. You could have Surratt and Ossai as OLB's and drop barnett in to cover the edge lol,or interchange them as you please

BTW... absolutely agree you don't need to draft OL in the first.   We are a bad example though, because we stock pile OL picks late in the draft.  But if we look at the last 6 of our first round OL...I'm going by memory here...

Mayberry, Thomas, Andrews,  Watkins, Lane, Dillard.    That's 4 pro bowl out of 6.   The list if good late round picks is there too.   But how many in total were taken since Mayberry back in the mid 90s?   Probably 50 or so.

Point is, you need to look at the big picture and take everything into account with this idea.    BTW, I'd it were 3 years ago..  I would have taken OG Nelson with the first pick.  Surely not let him fall to 6.   That's over Mayfield,  Barkley and Darnold.  Dude is an absolute game changer.

You are ATL, who are you drafting at 4?

They need defense soooo bad. A trade back would make the most sense. I wanted us to take Chase and then Pitts. So I can’t really change my answer for them.

Don’t need to reach for a guy at 12 that what he sounds like... getting an edge rusher just to get an edge rusher.

We should have no shortage of talent at pick 12 take your top guy and go from there.

I don’t see Ossai being a DE fit for us. Strictly be a Lb.

Think ATL would love to trade back but takes two to tango just because they want to doesn’t mean any other team is willing to move up. Honestly if I’m Carolina I don’t see a reason to move up unless it’s to #2 otherwise I sit at 8 and take the QB I like Fields/Lance/Mac etc.

So who you take over Pitts.  I'm just asking who is the better player that would win you more games if you are ATL?     To me, take Pitts then go defense.  Unless there is a dominant DL player... I don't pass over Pitts for a CB or LB  unless I'm getting a 2022 1st rounder in the deal.    Pitts and those WRs together for a few years, that's tough to cover.

Would Azeez Ojulari be a reach? Where are you seeing him going?

Late first and I don’t think he is an ideal fit for us being that tweeter player pass sounds like us getting to cute with the pick reaching on a guy

Idk that Carolina takes a QB either.   Sure they need one,  but what if they only like the guys that go in top 3?    They could also be in on free agents.   Build the team up for another year or whatever.   Idk

Seems T Sewell has been at the top of big boards the whole time. But I’m leaning to agree with you.

He looks like a potentially stud pass rusher to me. Think he’d be a great fit. We could maybe trade back and still get him though. That could be a great move for us.

Who can we get at 12 that’s so far ahead of who we could get at 19?

Seem like a tweener to me another Avery that we have at LB so maybe Gannon as a rush LB role he wound fit into not sure but don’t think he is worth the 12th pick

I don't watch college. But is Sewell there because he is that good already....or because his potential at age 20?     Seems to me its more the 2nd thing as I read up on him.  Idk.  Pitts is just a stud.  Very well liked kid amongst his former high school teammates, from a couple kids I know.  The type of kid that is humble and going to work. I don't think ATL is going to pass on him.  You have Ryan, let him go out with a bang.

Watch the film I posted lol. He plays both DE and LB

Rousseu is right in that area too Ham

And the question... in a trade back from 12 to 19. We assume Washington wants to climb past NE for a QB.   .

What do we get in the trade?

And...  more importantly forget who we like at 12, we are talking about the Eagles front office.   If it's DL they want or a WR or CB that keeps falling or where we all think should go late first.  I can easily see them making the trade if Washington throws in a good pick or 2.

Do you drop back to 19 if it's for two 2nd round picks?  Or a 2nd and a 3rd?

I think Carolina will stay at 8 and take Lance there

We know "good already" in college doesn't always translate to the NFL. Supposedly the top picks have the greatest % chance of impacting a team, but it's a crapshoot as we all know
