And the question... in a trade back from 12 to 19. We assume Washington wants to climb past NE for a QB.   .

What do we get in the trade?

And...  more importantly forget who we like at 12, we are talking about the Eagles front office.   If it's DL they want or a WR or CB that keeps falling or where we all think should go late first.  I can easily see them making the trade if Washington throws in a good pick or 2.

Do you drop back to 19 if it's for two 2nd round picks?  Or a 2nd and a 3rd?

This would not shock me though think passing on a difference maker just for the sake of getting a DL is a mistake but with our FO again wouldn’t shock me

don't watch college. But is Sewell there because he is that good already....or because his potential at age 20?

He is pretty good and plenty of room to get much better... Though Slater has been climbing from things I’ve read and seen... Makes Slater even more impress is watching him play against Chase Young and doing really well against him.

In a drop back scenario we could still get Koramoa at 19 then Samuel or Stokes possibly Newsome at CB in 2 and some additional picks

They can get their OT in 2,3 and beyond. It's not like round 2 guys are trash, they are fully capable of holding down the position. Plenty of nice OT, OG's and C's in rounds 2,3

So if Sewell is the player that everyone here thinks he is do you really pass up the guy who should be the starter at LT for years to come. AKA a generational player like Anthony Munoz'

Or was he just the bright shiny object of the moment?

IDK I feel a round 2 guy can give you all those things. Everyone hones in on who they THINK is the top dawg at every position. Alot of times the "pros" get it wrong(see JJ last year)

How many years have we seen this already?  We know they love DL and " assets" .   The guy at LB they don't see as a difference maker.  So my guess is they trade down if their CB gets selected before 12.   I think they pass on WR in the top 12...  it's going to be a lineman if we stay there... or a CB if it's the specific one they want.

Otherwise trade down for that next group of players is very possible...then position won't matter as much because they got all these other assets. ( in their minds)

Ojulari looks like he could be the best pass rusher to me. Barmore the top DT would be a great fit for us.

I remember Dillard being talked about with high regard leading up to the 2019 draft (although not quite as highly as Sewell is).  He really hasn't had much of an opportunity to prove himself yet - he has 4 starts under his belt in total thanks to having missed all of his sophomore season due to injury.  I know he was soured on a bit after struggling at RT for that one game and for some comments he made, but similar to Hurts, I'd hate to invest more high draft capital to the position without finding out what we have first.  I just think if we draft Sewell then we are relegating another high pick to being a backup (we have the need for STARTERS and should be using high picks there and later round picks on backups).  Just my 2 cents.

I find myself agreeing with Rosie. Bengals want Chase paired back with Burrow.

Ok... So Pitts probably would have been there at #6.

You are 100% on this?

I say they go 4 and 5.

I mean no I don't think we can ever be 100% with the draft... But I think there's a good chance one would have been.

Kind of thinking we trade back and are still in the same group of players.

Just so hard to say. Just don’t see Chase falling. Could only be one other nonQB pick before six. Would that be Pitts? It would be on my board.

Jalen Hurts going back to #1

And then.  If they aren't you miss the chance on the trade, which was obviously a 3 team trade,  just that it was announced separately.

And 2 other things we assume.  either will be thus generational talent, and that the Eagles were going to select them.   A lot of assumptions to pass on getting a 1st round pick.   IMO very good chance Miami doesn't even make the playoffs this year.   Buffalo is good and New England was dealt a brutal hand and still won 7 games.   That pick could easily be in the teens.

Yes, and I was just adding to your very intelligent point.
